Yuki Shimo stood in front of Shintawa. His cold presence chilling Shintawa to the bone. He shivered as Yuki's gaze remained on him. The cool blue eyes eminated nothing. No emotion. Not a one. Shintawa unsheathed his two katanas and poured his Kami no Chikara into them.
He rushed forwards with a cross slash, preparing his first real attack. As Shintawa neared Yuki, the cold man finally moved. He drew his katana, which eminated a cold mist, sub zero in temperature. When Shintawa got close, Yuki blocked both of his blades with his own.
Yuki: "Pathetic."
Shintawa: "Cocky for someone who hasn't won yet!"
Yuki: "No. I just know you are weak."
Shimo had nothing but cold emotionlessness in his voice. Shintawa knew that Yuki was only speaking his truths. Shintawa moved to kick Yuki in the side of the head. However, Shimo grabbed his leg. His touch was ice cold. Unnaturally so. Then, Shintawa realized why.
Yuki Shimo. Shimo. The Shimo Clan were thought to be extinct. But here was a living member. Their technique was Ice Mimicry. They could make snow and ice using Kami no Chikara. Shintawa yanked his leg away before Shimo could freeze his leg. But, Yuki fluctuated his Kami no Chikara as Shintawa started moving around.
Shintawa couldn't escape the cold. The sweat trickling down his brow was freezing. The saliva in his mouth even. Yuki put a palm to the ground, locking eyes with Shintawa. Shintawa held up his katanas as if to block whatever Shimo was about to do.
Yuki: "Shimo Technique: Ice Bath."
Ice surged forward towards Shintawa. His eyes widened as he saw it and attempted to block the surging ice. The ice stopped just before it could hit the people in the audience. In the ice, Shintawa managed to carve a tight spot to hide in. He began carving his way out.
However, Yuki had suspected such a thing would happen. Anybody who seriously wanted to win would find a way to resist the ice. With a snap, the ice dissapeared. Shattering around Shintawa. He looked surprised and slightly dazed when the ice around him suddenly left.
Then, he realized that Shimo was running towards him. With a groan he channeled Kami no Chikara into his katanas again and ran towards Yuki as well. The two clashed blades. Soon, they began exchanging several blows. Shimo would take calculated slashed, where as Shintawa used his extra blade to block and parry Yuki.
Kei-Kei watched on the edge of his seat from the sidelines. Rooting for Shintawa, but also slightly intrigued by Yuki. Ice Mimicry was uncommon. So it was likely everyone's first time seeing this.
Yuki managed to get a palm onto Shintawa's chest. The cold embracing his chest from Shimo's palm. He felt the ice building up on him, the cold creeping across his clothing and skin. Yuki locked eyes with Shintawa, the cold and calculated gaze seeping into Shintawa's soul.
Yuki: "Ice Trap."
Ice quickly covered Shintawa's whole body. His head was all that was left unfrozen. He struggled to break free, attempting to get out of the ice trap. He felt like a popsicle, being frozen and stuck in place. His inability to move leaving him wide open.
Yuki: "In a few minutes you will suffer frostbite. Yield."
Shintawa could feel it slightly encroaching on him. The numbing and painful cold. However, by pumping Kami no Chikara through his blood he strengthened his muscles enough to break out. He was tired and ice was in his mouth and on his body, every droplet of sweat freezing.
Yuki: "Still fighting? I suppose it's impressive. But I will not lose."
Shintawa: "D-Dus-"
Yuki: "Dus?
Shintawa: "D-Dus...DUST BREAKER!!!"
Shintawa stomped so hard on the arenas ground that large clouds of dust erupted. Using the dust he maneuvered behind Yuki and aimed a slash at him. Yuki countered the slash. His instincts were clearly perfected. Shintawa kicked Yuki back and spun with his blades, spreading out the dust.
Shimo planted a palm on the ground and channeled his Kami no Chikara into creating an ice armor around himself. His katana also flowing with his Kami no Chikara. Shintawa stood before him. They were both in the dust and could see one another's outlines. They charged towards each other and...
From beyond the dust nobody could see. Kei-Kei and many others leaned closer to see what was going on. When the dust cleared, the victor was made known. On the ground, was Shintawa. And standing was Yuki Shimo. Mostly uninjured.
The announcer called the match and Yuki walked off, heading to be on his own till his next match. Shintawa was picked up by medical staff and carried inside to the nursing facility. Kei-Kei left the side viewing area and began to head for the nursing facility.
After a few minutes, he reached it. He found Shintawa's room and entered. They had been quick in bandaging Shintawa. He sat up in the bed they put him down in. He saw Kei-Kei and smiled, though the defeat clearly weighed on him.
Kei-Kei: "That Yuki Shimo guy was strong..."
Shintawa: "Yeah. Listen, if you end up fighting him, kick his bitch ass for me Kei-Kei."
Kei-Kei grinned and extended his left fist. Shintawa returned a fist bump and with a BWOOSH! Kei-Kei left the room to head to his match which was up next. He checked a bracket they had set up and looked for his name. Eventually, he found it. Beside his name was another, Nami Bāsuto.
That was to be his opponent. So, Kei-Kei ran over to the doors he would exit from. He had a confident smile, a hand on the sheathe of Mochi. And, as he heard the announcers radio start getting ready to blast, he was as ready as could be.
