SAKURA POV:
It had been about 2 weeks since the bell test. In those 2 weeks the team had the daily routine of 1 D-rank mission, then train in whatever Kakashi sensei told them to do, and then another D rank mission.
Naruto, who had done about 120 D-ranks on his own, was not happy about this.
"Oi Jiji! I'm tired of these D-ranks dattebayo! Please give us a C rank or something because I seriously don't think these glorified chores will help us with anything."
Before Sakura could tell him to be respectful to the hokage, Sasuke said "Yes lord hokage. Please give us something challenging. You've seen our skill set so you know we can handle it"
The hokage just raised an eyebrow and asked Kakashi, amused "Well Kakashi, you're the team captain and sensei, what do you say?"
"I agree with these two lord hokage" Kakashi said "we have already done enough D-ranks to qualify for at least 1 or 2 c-rank missions"
"Very well then, please come in Tazuna" the hokage called out to behind a door in the room.
A fat old man with white hair walked in holding a bottle of alcohol.
"Wha? These are my escorts? These little kids couldn't fight a rabbit, especially the hyper lookin blonde tictac".
Before he could say anything else however, he found a kunai below his neck and a hand holding both of his behind his back, his bottle laid broken on the ground.
"Care to repeat that?" Naruto said in a deadly serious voice as he tightened his grip on Tazuna' s hands.
Tazuna was spared however when Kakashi just lazily flipped a page and said "Naruto, we have to protect him, not scare him".
"For the last time, I AM NOT A TICTAC DATTEBAYO" Naruto said, going back to being his usual goofy and cheery self.
NARUTO POV:
"Is your sensei really a ninja?" Tazuna asked rhetorically, annoyed by the lateness of Kakashi sensei.
"Apparently" all three said at the same time.
They were all waiting at the gates of the leaf village, waiting for Kakashi sensei who was once again, late by about 2 hours already.
"Heya my dear students and Mr Tazuna" Kakashi said as he walked up to them with an eye smile.
"What is it this time" Sasuke said with a scowl.
"I got lost on the road of life" he said airily
"Must be hard to get lost on road which doesn't exist dattebayo" Naruto muttered to Sakura, who giggled.
Naruto had been really excited at first, wanting to see the outside world.
But now he was simply bored, playing 'eye spy' with Sakura until spotting a puddle on the ground.
He exchanged looks with Sakura and Sasuke, ready for fight.
As the passed over the puddle two people with a scratched hidden mist village headband appeared from the puddle and chained Kakashi sensei, who looked up from his book, started.
Sakura screamed as they each pulled their chain and Kakashi was torn into pieces in a shower of blood.
She moved in front of a shocked Tazuna with two kunai as Naruto and Sasuke engaged both of them in a fight.
It couldn't be called a fight, more like a massacre.
Naruto or Sasuke alone could have easily dealt with both, so they were mostly toying with the two.
That was, until they saw a signal from the forest.
Naruto let one of them cut him on his hand and go towards Tazuna. Sasuke let a hit get him and knock him to the ground.
Before the two Rouge ninja (shown by the scratch in the headband) could even get close to Tazuna however, they were both grabbed by the neck by none other than Kakashi.
"YOUR ALIVE?" Tazuna screamed as Sakura and Sasuke tied the ninjas to a nearby rock while Naruto took out the poison using a kunai and bandaged the wound.
"Excellently done team" Kakashi said with an eye smile.
"If you were alive why did you let the kids fight" Tazuna almost shouted.
"First, because I know these kids can easily handle any opponent up to low jonin level, second, because I needed to see who their target was"
"So, tell me, Tazuna, why we're the 'demon brothers of the mist' after you?" Kakashi asked dangerously.
So Tazuna explained. About how a tyrant business man has taken over Wave country and everyone was very poor, which was why he had to apply for a C rank as the higher-level ones would cost too much and how his bridge was the only hope against Gato's rule.
"You could have made an arrangement to pay later dattebayo" Naruto said, shaking his head.
"Either way, I think we could handle this what do you say team" Kakashi said, looking at them.
"It's either this or D-ranks" they all said at the same time.
And so, they continued with the mission.
They were walking past a few trees when Naruto suddenly perked up and threw a kunai towards a shrub.
Sakura moved the plant to see a white rabbit looking scared to death with the kunai stuck above it.
"You idiot you could have hurt it" she said, pulling the kunai out and handing it to Naruto.
Before anyone could say anything, Kakashi shouted out "GET DOWN", before grabbing Tazuna and ducking to avoid a huge cleaver like sword from chopping their head off.
ZABUZA POV:
They all looked up to see a tall man wearing another scratched headband of the hidden mist village, showing that he was another Rouge ninja.
"Well, if it aint 'Kakashi the copy ninja'. No wonder the demon brothers failed."
"Zabuza Momochi. What is a ninja at your level doing here?"
"I got a simple deal for you. Leave the bridgebuilder and go, and I don't kill you. How's that?"
"How about...NO" Kakashi said as they all burst into motion, the genin trio guarding Tazuna in a triangle formation while Kakashi confronted Zabuza.
As they fought, Zabuza started leaking Killer Intent at the Genin, causing Tazuna to freeze up while the pink haired girl just slightly flinched but stood strong. The other two brats seemed to be unaffected.
"Impressive but...huh?" He said, confused as to why his water clone hadn't killed them yet, before spotting a puddle of water near the blonde brat's feet.
"Sensei, fight him without worrying about us, we can retreat if we need to" the black-haired one called out to Kakashi.
"In a fight like this I can't afford to hold back" Kakashi said as he pulled back his headband from his left eye, revealing a fully matured Sharingan.
He jumped forwards and kicked Zabuza in the chest before pulling out a kunai and attempt to strike Zabuza.
Zabuza kicked him onto a nearby lake, joining him a moment later.
"Why does this water feel so heavy? "he said before the water erupted in a sphere with him inside.
"Water prison complete. Now watch as I kill your students Kakashi" Zabuza said with a wicked grin.
He turned around to see the blonde brat joining them on the water.
"Any Jutsu is useless if you know how to beat it" he said with a smile as he threw a black kunai at the sphere, causing the sphere to burst like a Balloon and for Kakashi to emerge.
"Aight sensei do your thing" the brat said before turning into a cloud of smoke, showing that it was a shadow clone.
Zabuza just stood there for a second.
"What?"
But instead of an answer he got an annoyed and drenched Kakashi rushing at him.
He quickly blocked the punches before jumping back and starting with hand signs
"Your strong but"
"Not strong enough" Kakashi interrupted while doing the same hand signs.
"I'll shut you up you"
"Chattering monkey" Kakashi said as they both released their Jutsu simultaneously.
"Water style: water dragon Jutsu"/"water style: water dragon Jutsu"
Both dragons clashed until they cancelled each other out.
'I started earlier but we both finished our hand signs together' he thought as he started doing new hand signs.
"Can you"
"See the future? Yes. And your future is DEATH" Kakashi said as he finished his hand signs before Zabuza and unleashed a giant vortex of water at Zabuza, knocking him out.
