Chapter 2 - Bill Wicepher

The following morning, Garry woke up with a pounding headache. He could still hear the chilling voice from last night's phone call echoing in his mind. As he got out of bed, he noticed his phone was still on the floor. He picked it up and checked the missed calls. There was only one, from his mother. He quickly called her back, but there was no answer.

Garry decided to go to the police station to report the incident. When he arrived, he explained everything to the officer, from the strange phone calls to his mother's disappearance. The officer listened attentively, but his expression remained skeptical.

"Have you tried calling her again?" the officer asked.

"Yes, many times. No answer," Garry replied.

"Well, it's possible she's just busy or out of town," the officer said. "We can file a missing person report, but without any evidence of foul play, it's going to be difficult to investigate."

Garry left the police station feeling frustrated and helpless. He went home and spent the rest of the day researching the history of Bill Wicepher. According to local folklore, Wicepher was a malevolent spirit who haunted the area, preying on unsuspecting victims. The stories were mostly legends, but Garry couldn't shake the feeling that there might be some truth to them.

That night, as Garry was trying to sleep, he heard a noise coming from downstairs. He got out of bed and crept slowly towards the living room. As he approached the door, he saw a figure standing in the shadows. It was tall and thin, with a long, flowing coat. Its face was obscured by darkness, but Garry could feel its intense gaze on him.

Terror gripped Garry as he realized it was Bill Wicepher. The spirit raised its hand and pointed a finger at him. A cold chill ran down Garry's spine as he felt a strange sensation in his chest. Then, the figure vanished, leaving Garry alone in the darkness.
