In fact, Ishigami Hara possesses two abilities, both located in a single eye—specifically, the Sharingan of his right eye.
One is called Ushikami, and the other is Huoshikami.
The former is a space-time dojutsu, similar to the Flying Thunder God technique, but with a more mystical nature.
Its functionality allows Ishigami Hara to use his line of sight to establish two points for spatial transfer. This transfer is not limited to himself but can also apply to objects.
Self-transfer is straightforward—it operates much like the Flying Thunder God technique but without the need for physical markers or seals. However, transferring objects is far more peculiar.
As long as two target points are established, Ishigami Hara can expend his eye's power to swap the items at those two locations.
The reason the female puppeteer Mai died was because Ishigami Hara used the short blade in his hand to exchange places with her heart. In an instant, her heart appeared in Ishigami Hara's hand, while the short blade was embedded in her chest.
It seems impossible to defend against, right?
However, there are limitations.
The first is the constraint of ocular power. As is widely known, excessive use of Mangekyō Sharingan can lead to blindness, the infamous curse of the Sharingan.
Another limitation is that both target points must remain stationary.
To put it simply, if the female puppeteer had merely moved her body, Ishigami Hara wouldn't have been able to transfer her heart.
So, while Ushikami's ability may seem overwhelming, if either of the spatial coordinates shift even slightly, the technique will fail.
The same applies to self-transfer. Ishigami Hara must ensure that he is completely still when transferring himself to a target point, or the transfer will not succeed.
Despite these restrictions, the ability is formidable enough for someone with Ishigami Hara's control over his body and understanding of human anatomy. He can still catch opponents off-guard in battle.
The second ability, Huoshikami, is a form of damage transference, as Uchiha Izuna suspected, though a more precise term would be "illusionary reality."
This ability doesn't merely transfer damage. It uses Ishigami Hara's ocular power to create a special genjutsu that binds a target and fixes their condition.
During this time, any harm inflicted on Ishigami Hara is mirrored onto the target through the genjutsu.
For this damage transference to occur, the target must first fall under the influence of Huoshikami's illusion, and the illusion must remain unbroken.
Once the target is trapped, Ishigami Hara can use the genjutsu to reverse the conditions of both parties, transferring his own injuries to the enemy.
Though Huoshikami's illusion isn't as overpowering as Tsukuyomi, it is still incredibly dangerous.
To resist Huoshikami, one would need to surpass Ishigami Hara's ocular power. Otherwise, they are bound to become the victim of his damage transference.
Both of Ishigami Hara's dojutsu techniques have their limitations, but it is precisely because of these that they appear more grounded in reality.
Little did Ishigami Hara realize that Uchiha Izuna was deeply shocked. He couldn't comprehend how Ishigami Hara had awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan in only one eye, while his other eye still retained the Byakugan.
The Uchiha clan holds the belief that the Sharingan is superior to the Byakugan, a widely accepted notion. This only fueled Izuna's curiosity, making him eager to uncover the secret behind Ishigami Hara's unique situation.
Swoosh!
Swoosh!
Swoosh!
At that moment, the Konoha Shinobi returning to defend the village had arrived. Without hesitation, they swiftly dealt with the remaining Sand Shinobi forces.
The crisis was resolved, and the scene of Ishigami Hara killing two enemies did not go unnoticed by the Konoha Shinobi, particularly the sight of his Sharingan and Byakugan. This left everyone in stunned disbelief.
The abilities of these two powerful dojutsu reflected Ishigami Hara's thoughts and strategies. In fact, they mirrored his innermost intentions.
Ushikami was a technique Ishigami Hara created to enhance a shinobi's mobility. His greatest aspiration had always been to master the Flying Thunder God Technique, but for now, it remained beyond his grasp.
On the other hand, Huoshikami was designed to safeguard his own life. Yet, as much as he had hoped it would provide absolute security, it fell short of that ideal.
Nevertheless, with these two abilities, Ishigami Hara's safety had increased significantly. His next step would be to find a way to prevent his Mangekyō Sharingan from leading to blindness. However, achieving this would require time and the right opportunity.
Ishigami Hara differed from a traditional Uchiha in one key way: he had two distinct ocular abilities. He only possessed the Sharingan in his right eye, while his left eye remained a Byakugan.
The trigger for unlocking his Mangekyō Sharingan came from Uchiha Izuna's chakra.
When Uchiha Izuna saw the fatally wounded Uchiha die, he unleashed a surge of chakra, Ishigami Hara seized the moment. He tapped into his Uchiha bloodline using the ultimate Yin Release chakra, which led to the awakening of his Mangekyō Sharingan.
However, his left eye did not follow the same path of evolution.
No!
To be more precise, his left eye did undergo an improvement—an increase in pupil power.
In other words, Ishigami Hara's Byakugan had now surpassed the standard of the average Hyūga clan member. Although it was still far from the Tenseigan, this progression was remarkable.
The Tenseigan, often compared to the Rinnegan, requires the refinement of ocular power to awaken. From Ishigami Hara's perspective, the key to unlocking the Tenseigan in his left eye lay in further enhancing its power.
In this sense, his left eye might eventually outpace his right eye. After all, there are ways to enhance ocular power without the stringent conditions required for the Mangekyō Sharingan, which demands the exchange of a loved one's eyes.
Naturally, Ishigami Hara had no intention of revealing his two ocular abilities to Uchiha Izuna. It was only normal for a shinobi to keep some secrets.
