Then, a pink, round, and very cute Chansey with an egg hanging from its chest appeared before Sui.
"LUCKY! LUCKY!"
Chansey immediately called out with excitement upon seeing Sui. It eagerly approached, rubbing its head against him, displaying great affection.
"So cute," Sui remarked, reaching out to pat Chansey's head.
Chansey clearly enjoyed Sui's touch, closing its eyes in contentment. But soon, it heard Sui mumbling to himself.
"Hm, how exactly do you eat this? Should I cook it whole? Or kill it first, then cut it up?"
Chansey's eyes widened in fear, and its round body shrank back. It looked up at Sui with a mix of terror and confusion.
"Ah, maybe I should read the instructions first," Sui suddenly remembered and reached for the guide.
—Chansey
- Food Grade: B
- Origin: Pokémon
- Description: Chansey can lay multiple eggs daily. These eggs are highly nutritious and delicious, said to bring happiness to anyone who consumes them. Chansey, being a gentle creature, shares its eggs with injured Pokémon and humans but refuses to give them to those with ill intentions."
"So, the eggs are for eating," Sui realized. He examined the egg Chansey was holding, which was roughly the size of an ostrich egg. Thinking about how it could lay several each day, Sui felt a growing sense of excitement.
However, Chansey clutched the egg tightly, watching Sui with a wary expression.
Sui was suddenly at a loss. Was the system suggesting he had bad intentions? Perhaps he had frightened Chansey earlier.
Just then, Erina stepped out of the bathroom, her voice cutting through the moment. "Hey, can you shower now?"
She was quickly distracted by the sight of Chansey.
"Huh? What is this creature? It's so cute!"
Her eyes sparkled as she knelt down to pet Chansey's head.
"LUCKY, LUCKY!"
It seemed Chansey liked Erina too, as it affectionately rubbed her hand and then, to everyone's surprise, offered her the egg from its pouch.
"Huh? Is this for me? It's so big!" Erina exclaimed in delight.
Sui: "..."
Seriously, is this going to be like the Milktank incident?
Remembering Milktank, Sui thought maybe the two Pokémon would get along well.
Later, Sui brought Chansey back to Erina's mansion. They converted one of the first-floor rooms into a shared space for both Chansey and Milktank.
As expected, the two Pokémon got along almost immediately.
"Now that I think about it, what does Chansey eat?" Sui pondered aloud. Unlike Miltank, Chansey clearly wouldn't be grazing on grass.
"Try this." He offered Chansey some almond cabbage.
Chansey eagerly took a bite and began shouting "LUCKY!" again, looking at Sui with newfound affection.
Miltank also wandered over and began eating alongside Chansey.
Sui felt a twinge of pain in his heart—those cabbages cost money! But thinking of the potential value in these Pokémon, he pushed aside his concern. Each almond cabbage was large, and one should be enough for both of them daily. However, he realized that buying them every day might become an issue.
"Let's try this egg, shall we? See if it tastes as good as they say," Sui suggested.
Erina nodded in agreement.
Together, they cracked open the egg and carefully made two servings of omelette rice. The aroma was intoxicating, and it tasted far better than any regular omelette.
"This egg's quality is amazing!" Erina remarked, clearly impressed.
They finished their meals, leaving about two-thirds of the egg liquid, which they stored in the fridge for later.
"Could you sell me some of those eggs Chansey lays?" Erina asked, her eyes shining with excitement.
"We can talk about that later," Sui replied. "You need to focus on learning how to do laundry first."
Erina's expression darkened, her irritation visible. "I know!" she grumbled.
"Don't be so upset. I'm only thinking ahead for you. If you can't even wash clothes, how do you expect to manage once you get married? Consider this training for your future," Sui teased.
"I will never get married!" Erina shouted, her frustration boiling over.
With a smirk, Sui went to take a shower. Once done, he handed Erina his clothes.
"Here, you can take care of these for today," he said casually.
Erina gritted her teeth. "Fine," she muttered.
After Sui left, Erina begrudgingly carried the laundry to the bathroom, her face twisted in disgust.
"This stinks!" she complained, tossing his clothes into the basin and recalling the times when Hisako, her secretary, helped her do laundry.
"I think she said to fill it with water first, then add detergent," Erina mumbled as she picked up the detergent. In her nervousness, she accidentally poured in half the bag.
"Oops… Oops!" Panic rose in her chest. To make matters worse, her hand brushed against Sui's underwear.
"Ew!" she yelped, throwing it aside with a shudder.
Realizing she had to endure this for a whole month, Erina felt utterly defeated, as if her life had become a nightmare.

The following day, after class, Sui went to the research institute's activity room and noticed a girl waiting outside.
She was strikingly beautiful, with delicate features, pale skin, and long black hair pulled back in a neat style, giving her an unexpectedly refreshing look.
