Earth's lithosphere was divided into seven major plates and eight minor plates before 'DESCENT OF DARK'. Now this statement no longer holds true as all these tectonic plates separated from each other and were simultaneously giving birth to new plates all around the world. It is still unknown how many new land masses have emerged all around the world and when this phenomenon would end as everyone around the world could feel the slight tremor from the ground indicating the movements of the tectonic plates have not stopped yet.
Indian plate was considered to be one of the minor plates before but the population in this single tectonic plate amounts to nearly twenty percent of the world's total population. India alone accounted for more than seventeen percent of it. Even though it cannot be said to be the same after the disastrous event, the number the survivors in India was considerably more than any other country in the world.
Mohan didn't know about any of these factors but from the message he heard from the NALLA system, he could calculate that to get the 100% completed notification he had to kill nearly 1500 morphs. He had no idea what lay after getting 100% percentage but he knew for sure it would be something worthwhile. Due to this he was even more worked up in finding more morphs.
At the same time, talks about moving places were going on in the settlement due to food shortage. As the morphs became aware that they were being hunted they fled the area near the settlement. So he couldn't find morphs as easily as before, he too had plans to leave the settlement since he had no plan to stay in the same place forever. But hearing the council's decision he decided to stick along with the group to see how it goes on.
The age group of the people in the settlement is between the ranges of 10 to 70. He didn't have to think further about the people beyond that age group as even if they survived somehow from the disaster there are still morphs hunting the humans out there. Speaking of ages the people in their 60s and 70s were much more active than before due to the influence of DARK energy. They looked like they still had a few more decades of active life to live on. Due to this, moving the settlement was not much of a headache as no one had to carry others while moving on the treacherous path forward.
Speaking of the council, he waited for someone to come and ask for his participation as one of its council members. All the members of the council were people who actively participated in either defending the settlement or going out in search of food. In essence, they were people who had some amount of fighting prowess to defend themselves against the morphs. Even though no one knew about his hunting of morphs except for Ramesh, at least he was involved procurement of food so many knew about his fighting prowess. He wanted to have a say in the group which would make it easier for him in the future if there were any sort of complication.
But nothing of that sort happened. This was also one of the reasons he decided to leave the settlement earlier. He went to ask about this to Ramesh as he was one of the vice leaders. It seems that his age not even in his twenties was a major factor as even the youngest member of the council was in his thirties. The council decided that the members of the council had to not only take upon responsibilities but had to lead the group as one which they didn't observe in any of the younger members in the settlement. To which he couldn't retort.
After the establishment of the council, they soon began to take measures for the moving of people. They decided to leave Puducherry and enter Tamil Nadu westwards. Mohan too decided to enter Tamil Nadu along with the group.

It has been a month since everyone regained their consciousness. Many things happened all over the world. One thing that was common was that people began to live in groups or settlements after getting no response from their respective governments. They returned to being like nomads who searched for livelihood.
The main predicament of all the people was lack of food, as they needed to find a food source or start doing their own farming otherwise many would starve to death.
The new system of governing that was prominent all over the world was the council system like in Mohan's group. Since the settlement had only hundreds of members, everyone knew their respective council members and only the qualified would get the support of the group.
There were also people who after getting the NALLA System message ate the morphs. They commonly referred to themselves as Hunters. They were the people who took the initiative to leave the settlements and actively hunt for morphs. It is unknown whether they do it for the good of people or for their own selfish reasons. The knowledge of these hunters consuming morphs and their benefits was not open to the public.
Even though morphs were savage, there were some changes that happened among them too. Those savages who were successful in hunting normal humans ate the whole human body, which helped them improve their body condition, and the human brain was helpful in gaining some of their sentience and controlling their savage behavior. They became the leaders among the morphs.
They called the morphs as mutants and themselves as enlightened mutants. According to them, the savage behavior was just a side effect due to their unique special prowess compared to normal human beings. The only way to relieve themselves of this side effect was by eating human brains and the human body will also help them improve their bodies. As the living example of enlightened mutants, many morphs believed them.
The enlightened were also successful in forming groups although with much fewer members compared to human counterparts as most didn't want to join the group to share their hunts with others. These groups mostly had only a single leader who led all the other members of the group. They successfully launched several raids in the human settlements and were also successful in some of them.
One may wonder how the morphs got all the information about the benefits of eating humans.
"THE HUMAN BEING IS DEAD…YOU HAVE PASSED THE HIDDEN CONDITION…HUMAN BEING'S BODY IS EDIBLE…"
Because they too got a similar message from the NALLA System just like when a human kills a morph.
"YOU HAVE ABSORBED DARK ENERGY…"
And they get the same notification of absorbing DARK energy after the morph eats the dead human's body.
The NALLA System didn't distinguish between morphs and humans, it was staying true to the words it uttered in the first announcement all over the world. It was just there being an indicator for all the things without any direct involvement in shaping or directing the world's development.
