Joanna arrived at the office an hour and a half late and was surprised to see Mia again at her desk. Not that she couldn't handle the situation, but it was just tiring.
"You seem to love my job and position. Move away from there," she snarled. Mia stood up from Joanna's chair with a smug smile.
"Whore. I wonder what your husband would think if he sees the latest news."
She was certain Alex would dump Joanna after this, as the Kings would not want their image tainted by such a scandal.
Joanna exchanged glances with her colleagues, Vida and Juliet, who were equally oblivious to Mia's claims. But Joanna's only concern was not seeing Jeremy at his desk.
"Where is Jeremy?" She asked. Vida and Juliet's expressions were disheartening. Mia taunted,
"Did you forget he was fired yesterday because of you?" She was surprised that Joanna had forgotten, but even with that, there was a bigger problem Joan needed to think about than Jeremy.
