"He is a strange one Silver. Why did he not know about Grandfather's rise to supreme wizard in the west. It is the biggest news going on in the wizardry world right now." Emily whispered to Silver as they alone finally on the second floor of the main library looking over books he had asked them to get.
"The biggest thing going on in the world right now is the disappearance of the prince of enchanters?" Silver said.
"You know what I mean? Of course dad's disappearance is major. But still he acted like he never nothing about it. Added on to that what was that strange bit of request from him regarding dad returning his sword to him and them probably not meeting." She said.
Silver shook his head. "You must stop that." He said.
"Stop what? I'm just asking a question. How can we be sure he is who he says he is?" She said.
Silver shook his head. "Mr. Malfoy is a busy man. He writes books and works on assignment for father still. Our focus should be on assisting him as much as we can. Nothing more. He has his own life and concerns himself. You must remember what he said. We must remind Dad to see him later and bring along his sword. You must remind him of that." He said.
Emily frowned but she nodded her head. "What are you hiding?" She asked.
Silver shook his head. "Information I am not supposed to know so I can not tell you or I might endanger Mr. Malfoy and his wife." He said.
Emily took hold of his arm stopping him from moving on down the line of bookcases. "Silver why won't you tell me what is the mystery around Malfoy and his wife?" She asked him.
Silver stared at her. "Why didn't you tell me about the problems you had seen in the security systems?" He asked.
Emily sighed. "Answer my question first." She said.
"The reason I cannot tell you is because if you understood the nature of why Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy seem so strange then you would not be asking them your questions. Mom sent them the message only fifty minutes ago and they arrived here mere seconds later." He said.
Emily frowned shaking her head. "The main library was already traveling. It's only logical that we caught them in mid travel. I found nothing strange about that. Still mother calling them here doesn't explain their strange behaviors and lack of knowledge about Grandpa taking his testing to become the grand wizard of America." She said.
Dago sighed and stared at her. "Emily. Dad didn't give a damn about politics or the world in general beyond us and creating things and the library. Mr. Malfoy and him were best friends throughout their time in school and afterward when they worked together for years. He's the same way. Dad wouldn't have known or cared about Grandpa becoming a grand wizard in general if mother hadn't told him." He said.
Emily stared at him. "That is mean." She said.
"Yet it is the truth and you know it. In fact now that I think about it I don't find anything strange at all about Mr. Malfoy. The moment he got here he wen to work on the problem at hand. Just like dad would have done. You're the one that's acting strangely." He said now studying his sister closer now. "Are you attracted to Mr. Malfoy?" He asked.
Emily's face flushed heatedly and Silver stared at her. "Emily. You can't be serious. Look at his wife. She's beautiful. and a former model." He said.
Emily shook her head. "I am not interested in Malfoy. Your turning this conversation on it's head and you don't know if that lady with him is a former model." She said.
Silver shook his head. "It's in dad and Mr. Malfoy's achieved journals. She's former model and you haven't a chance of being with him so I would ask you to stop your silly fantasies and focus on working to get our dad back." He said heatedly.
"Enough. Enough. Alright. Your right it doesn't matter why Mr. Malfoy is so strange." Emily said heatedly and looked away from him. "What books are we looking for?" She asked.
Silver put several books into her arms and turned her around and pointed down stairs to the ground floor of the main library. "Take those books downstairs to Mr. Malfoy and please forget about any fantasies you have about him. The man is old enough to be your father." He said.
"I do not have fantasies about that old man. I just had questions regarding his arrival and strange behavior." She said.
"I don't want to hear it. Go. I have to search the achieves in this section to see if I can find anything else that might be useful for Mr. Malfoy in his project to find Dad." He said started searching the book shelves that were labeled Hawks Landing beginning stages.
"You do know why he is so strange?" Emily said quietly.
"I do know and no I have no intention on telling you directly right now. Mr. Malfoy took a big gambling coming here like he did. I appreciate it greatly but the sooner he can find dad get the hell out of here the better it would be for his own safety." He said.
"Okay. As long as you promise to tell me later I will put it out of my mind." She said and walked away.
Silver sighed. He doubted if his sister would let it go that easy. She had a very deeply curious mind. She wouldn't be able to rest until she figured out the mystery behind Mr. Malfoy. Silver had a reason to keep it from her though. Mr. Malfoy would be put in greater danger with more people knowing he was here and what he had become.
He put that aside and looked for the right book. Lady Hawk appeared before him suddenly putting a finger to her lips as she stared at him with her magical glowing eyes and the image of his mother. She reached out grabbing a book from the Hawks Landing journals that was written by James Potter and handed it to him.
He nodded his thanks. She waved him away back down and pointed to Dago before she disappeared.
