Chapter 12 - Chapter 12

Kara had super hearing and super vision; she heard the conversation between Jennifer and her father, and also saw Jennifer's anxiety and hesitation.

Jennifer wanted her father's help to find Kara and hopefully stop her, if it was still possible.

But Jennifer was worried they might arrive just in time to witness Kara's "good deed." If they found her while Kara was doing something, they would become witnesses against her.

In the end, Jennifer could only leave with her father.

It wasn't until they left that Kara came out of the alley.

Looking in the direction Jennifer and her father had gone, Kara smiled in relief—at least she didn't make them witnesses.

If it was about a superficial friendship, Jennifer didn't need to get tangled up. If it was something more complicated, she might not say anything, but could still accuse Kara afterward.

In that case, Kara would be in too much trouble.

But such things can easily happen.

Fortunately, Kara's vision isn't bad.

Returning to the street, since the town was small and the current era hadn't yet reached the millennium, there were almost no people on the streets late at night.

This wasn't one of those big cities where the lights stay on until late into the night.

On the street, there were practically no pedestrians, and for a long time, no one passed by.

Kara returned to the two drunks she had knocked unconscious earlier, grabbing them by the head and nearly breaking their leg bones with a kick.

The immense pain instantly woke both of them up.

Kara stood there with a condescending air. At that moment, she no longer showed the gentleness of a girl, but only cold hostility.

Earlier, the drunks had mentioned two titles for Kara: one was "strong girl," referring to her infinite strength.

The other was "Tyrant."

It's possible that even Kara herself hadn't realized that, at that moment, she exuded a terrifying, cruel, and fearsome aura.

Speaking of which, Kara's family is even more glorious than Clark's—that is, Superman's family.

In fact, Kara and Clark belong to the same family, which is definitely true.

But Kara's father was both a scientist and a judge like Clark, and their mothers were almost both judges, holding the same position.

However, Kara's aunt, her mother's sister, was a general at the same level as Zod, and Kara's mother was not only a judge but also a general.

This made Kara's genes full of the best fighters, the most qualified generals and leaders, and the characteristics of all other positions.

There was only one exception—she wasn't fit to be a member of the Supreme Council, as the House of El actually had grievances with the council elders.

Those councils only made problems more complicated and never solved any issues, which eventually led Krypton to its destruction.

Far away.

When Kara faces opponents who can be considered enemies, she has a different coldness compared to Superman and can even be called cruel.

She looked at the other two drunks, scanning them with her X-ray vision and discovering that they didn't have any weapons on them.

"Since there are no fatal threats, I'll spare your lives. However, you should know what to say and what not to say, right?" Kara asked coldly. What does she look like at this moment? A fifteen-year-old girl, almost like a queen ruling over the world.

Ruthless, unfeeling, undeniably powerful, and brazenly hostile and threatening.

The two drunks shrank back and fell to the ground. They were already dizzy from the blow, and each of them had lost feeling in one leg, which might have been broken.

The two quickly nodded, not daring to argue.

But Kara sneered. "You know what? Your friend has already been killed by me. I think the police will start investigating tomorrow. If you dare to confess, I'll make your life miserable. Remember, it wasn't me who took him away. It was a guy in a bat suit. Understand?"

It seems Kara was determined to pin the blame on Batman, and who knows how Bruce Wayne would feel when he finds out that he's been active in this small town long before his debut.

The two drunks had sobered up by now, and faced with Kara's threats, they didn't dare to go against her will at all.

Kara wasn't worried about them disobeying, so she turned with a soft snort and prepared to leave.

"Oh, by the way." After walking a few steps, Kara turned around and thoughtfully asked, "About the title 'Strong Girl,' who came up with that?"

As expected, she still cared about the "Strong Girl" nickname.

The two drunks looked at each other and finally shook their heads at the same time.

It seems they didn't know either; they had just heard something about Kara from somewhere.

The reason is that Kara wasn't as well-behaved as she seemed on the surface.

There's another side hidden behind her.

That side of her is irritable, powerful, and aggressive.

Any bad person or gangster who dares to provoke her will end up being killed by Kara.

Definitely. In fact, this was the first time she had killed someone.

Jonathan and Martha didn't know that their obedient and sensible adopted daughter had actually become a well-known figure in the small town. Besides being beautiful and having excellent grades, many people in the underworld even wanted to win her over.

But Kara would definitely not be an older sister in the gang.

After that, Kara didn't linger any longer and continued walking out of the city. After entering a nearby alley, Kara jumped into the sky and took off.

Kara had become more and more skilled at controlling her powers and even discovered a bio-field originating from herself.

The so-called bio-field is launched based on Kara's power, allowing her to apply force to an entire object.

For example, if a passenger plane lost control and fell from the sky, using a human-sized palm to catch the plane wouldn't stop it; instead, it would cut the large passenger plane in half, like placing a piece of tofu on a sharp edge. The nails would have the same effect.

But the power of the bio-field is different. Instead of grabbing just a part of the plane, it holds the entire plane with the power of the bio-field.

Another example is someone falling from a great height. Under the interaction of forces, using Superman's steel body to catch the person would easily cut them into three parts. Superman's body is the sharpest weapon.

But as long as they're received with a bio-field, it will be fine, like landing on a big, soft bed.

The bio-field also has a significant defensive effect.

Superman's uniform, like Kara's suit, was originally indestructible. But when faced with Kryptonian-level technology weapons, they could still be injured, and their clothes damaged.

But from the bio-field's perspective, the defense can transfer to the clothes themselves, making even regular clothes bulletproof.

This also applies to moving or flying at speeds beyond the speed factor or even faster than light, so the body and clothes remain unaffected.

Otherwise, when flying at supersonic speeds, the immense force would tear all the clothes apart in an instant.

And Kara definitely didn't want that.
