Her heart was hammering against her chest. Her eyes didn't move away from the clock. Her parents have just arrived at the clinic.
"Why didn't you tell us earlier?" asked Hudson after he and Maria succeeded in dragging Bridget to the restaurant nearby to make her eat something.
Bridget stabbed her burger with her fork because she wasn't hungry nor was she in the mood to eat. "Matt decided this in less than two days. So yeah, here we are."
Maria patted her shoulder, trying to change her mood for the better. "He's going to be okay. I feel bad because I'm happy that you found someone who can make you this worried about him."
Bridget chuckled at what her mother said. "Just think of how happy Matthew will be after he gets his sight back." It seems like it worked.
Hearing what her mother uttered cheered her up. Why overthinking and worrying too much when she can start planning surprises for her boyfriend?
