Chapter 40 - Chapter 40: Whoever Kills By The Sword shall die by It.

Richard and Michelle seemed anxious as they looked at me.

"Just talk, what are you worried about?" I asked.

"Your real name is Shiba Fuli. You are originally from Muni Country. I took your necklace last time because I met up with the guy who sent you a message. He told me that he personally gave it to you back in Muni," Richard said.

"Okay, was the necklace the one he gave me?" I asked.

"It's more than a necklace; there was data stored inside—very incriminating data about some people," Richard said. My heart jumped.

"Is it that serious?" I asked.

"Yes, very serious. To add, you also have a husband and two children," Richard added.

I simply couldn't accept such facts!

"Yes, I have two children, Archie and Tracy, plus a husband—you, Richard," I said.

Richard helplessly smiled as he held my hand. "Yes, I am your husband, but what I said is also true: you have another family. However, your husband was also your abuser. The man I met told me so. The evidence in the necklace somehow ties him, but it can't incriminate him," Richard said.

"Can I see the footage?" I asked.

"It's better not to see it; I sent it to trusted authorities," Richard replied. I nodded in understanding.

"Is that why you were worried? I can't leave you, Richard; you are my only husband," I said as I held him. I hoped that Richard wouldn't let me go just because of this information.

"Of course I understand, Swan. However, you also have a mother, father, and 13 siblings. Don't you want to see them?" Richard added.

I was suddenly at a loss; I simply didn't remember all those people. However, if my family was out there, I guess they would love to know that I was safe.

"Let's take it slow; we shall just continue with the tour and then stop by Muni. It's also one of our destinations; let's make it our last," Michelle suddenly said.

"Okay," Richard replied.

"Swan, I love you; nothing will change that. You are my wife. Your abuser will also have to face the law!" Richard said as he hugged my waist.

"Would you like to see your children? They are 15 years old and also twins; they are popular online," Michelle said.

I slowly turned to face Richard, who smiled at me in encouragement. I took Michelle's tablet as I viewed the different accounts.

One was of a boy called Klain Charpil; he was just fifteen years old. The places he frequented were high-class and expensive. Some pictures were taken in expensive cars and yachts. He also had some other pictures with a girl that slightly resembled him. I then saw the post indicating that she was his sister.

Another account was of a girl, Massey Charpil. She seemed to love crocheted pieces, as seen from her pictures; she was also a fan of all the swan collections! I was slightly surprised. In her profile, she had posted two candles and the word "mother" under them. All their accounts had millions of followers and comments.

I returned the tablet to Michelle helplessly.

"I don't remember them," I softly said.

"It's okay, take your time; I am with you," Richard said.

With Richard and Michelle behind me, I became strong. The tours went well. We were finally headed for Muni Country the following day. I was nervous and anxious at the same time.

"It's alright; I am with you. I also have some good news," Richard said as he hugged me to him in bed.

I pensively looked at him. "There was a man who was also traced in one of the videos. He was called Zire; he was responsible for the end of your friend named Tanti. I guess his competitors got a hold of the video of that act and used it against him. He was finally sent to jail; however, he tried escaping and was therefore shot dead by the guards. I guess whoever kills by the sword shall die by the sword; he murdered, and he was also murdered," Richard elaborated.

Although I couldn't remember that friend, I was satisfied with her offender's ending.

"Well, for the case of Henry, your supposed husband, his family has deep roots in Muni, but don't worry; it won't be difficult for me to uproot them," Richard said.

I suddenly kissed him. "You have worked hard for me, Richard. I can't repay it in this life," I said.

"There is nothing to repay. I told you that I would be responsible for you," Richard said.

I slowly slept in his embrace as I smiled; I was simply so lucky to have met Richard.

The next day, we talked to the children via video call. Archie and Tracy seemed agitated as they couldn't physically reach us. We blew them kisses and disconnected the video.

We boarded the plane and headed towards Muni. The tour was already arranged, and everything was in place.

There were two interviewers, a male and a female. Richard encouraged me to go, so I headed on stage.

"Mrs. Swan, I finally get to interview you!" the male host said.

"The whole of Muni was anticipating your return home. We heard you forgot your memories, but we got you. You are originally from here; your husband is Henry Charpil. You attempted to commit suicide because he was going to marry a second wife, Lilly," the female interviewer disdainfully said.

"From where do you get those facts?" Richard asked as he directly headed on stage.

The female interviewer looked in his direction and immediately blushed. "It was all over the news; don't be deceived by her face!" the female interviewer added.

"Oh, really? Please play the videos," Richard said as he sat beside me.

"What videos? Everyone has them on their phone with just a simple search. That woman was shrewd for Henry's money; she then turned around to accuse him of being an abuser and murderer! Who doesn't know that in Muni?" the female interviewer retorted. I could hear murmurs in the crowd. Did I really do such a thing? I was suddenly ashamed.

"I am not talking to you," Richard said as he turned toward the interviewer in annoyance.

Suddenly, there was some noise behind us indicating that a video was playing. Immediately, Richard covered my ears and hugged my head to his chest.

In the audience, I saw two children that I had seen online; they were my supposed children. The boy looked in my direction with resentment, and the girl just gave me a blank look.

After some time, the boy's face twisted in disbelief, anger, betrayal, and all sorts of expressions as he looked behind us. The girl was now also wide-eyed and speechless; I then saw tears running down her cheeks. The boy suddenly ran away, and the girl followed.

Richard then let my ears go; it seemed the video had ended.

"What were you saying, Madam Interviewer?" Richard asked.

I saw the female interviewer bury her face in shame.

"I am sorry, Mr. and Mrs. Stone," the female interviewer said before she ran off the stage.

"Mrs. Swan, please forgive my colleague. Welcome back to Muni. It was an honor to have you here," the male interviewer said. I wanted to reply, but Richard immediately led me off stage.

"Shiba?" Suddenly, a voice called. I turned back and saw a beautiful woman with tears in her eyes. Behind her, there was a very tall and handsome man who also bore a look of grief and heartache as a very delicate-looking woman held his hand in comfort.

I simply didn't know who these people were. The woman immediately ran towards me and tightly hugged me in between tears. "I knew you were alive somewhere. I couldn't believe your death. Look at you, so bright! So beautiful!" the woman cried.

I awkwardly let her hug me; Richard didn't stop her actions either, so I believed that she meant no harm.

"I heard that you forgot your memories. I am your sister, Sima! He is Ady, your elder brother; that is his wife, Molly. I told you about the lady from outside town; it's her. They got married and have a son now," Sima laughed in between tears as she spoke. I looked at them, but nothing came to mind.

"It's good you don't remember; it's better that way," the tall man who was my supposed brother presented a phone to me, and the text read:

"Ady has hearing problems; we can gossip about him without worry." Sima slowly laughed as she wiped her tears.

"Mom!" I suddenly heard loud voices of a boy and a girl calling. Turning around, I saw that it was Klain and Massey.

"Let's all go somewhere to talk," Richard finally said. We all then headed toward the exit of the building.
