You danced like butterfly slipped through willow,
and flutist's tune of flute condensed sorrow,
perhaps flutist struggled in love ocean,
and beheld fishingboat sailed through mountain.
You leaned on scholar inside boat's window,
and flutist trod on tide like gray shadow,
perhaps flutist followed toward heaven,
and beheld rain veiled in boat like curtain.
Flutist made tune of flute in cold crisp rain,
as though dancer danced around him again,
but cold crisp rain showered on flutist's head,
and gray cloud covered whole sky overhead.
Thereafter flutist sipped hot daisy tea,
that soothed his pain and saved him from love sea.
