Red light on tail of car, like flame of war,
warned yellow light on head of car, like star,
starting waiting green light to lift sorrow,
lower the car, safer the car rolled slow.
Slow car on street with starry earthen light,
lit path of tides of cars into deep night,
lighting up street, highway and night city,
city with neon signs displayed beauty.
Small car, like boat with flame on sea of stars,
started rolling through streaming tides of cars,
caring red flame, red sign, and path with neon light,
lighting the bridge lifted deepest midnight.
Green light lifted sorrow away the street,
and yellow light lit path under my feet.
