Hades, Persephone, and Yan Mo discussed everything casually, their warmth evident despite Hades often giving off a cold demeanor. However, as his wives, they sensed a profound difference within him—a feeling unique to them. He might not express it openly, but he was undeniably their husband.
Sensing something in the air, Hades stood and said, "Persephone, Yan Mo, I entrust the operation of the underworld to you. Additionally, manage the battle between the gods of heaven and earth carefully; we cannot allow the three imperial gods to discover any issues. Time is on our side."
"Yes!" they replied in unison.
With that, Hades departed, leaving Persephone to gaze thoughtfully at the Pure Land of Bliss. "Everything is about to commence, and the progress of the underworld must not be halted. This is the fundamental core of our efforts."
"Indeed!" Yan Mo affirmed, holding her tobacco pipe with a smile. She exhaled a wisp of green smoke and added confidently, "Everything is under control. Now, let's see what the results will be from the three imperial gods."
The two sisters exchanged glances, smiles spreading across their faces. They felt absolute confidence in their positions, knowing that with His Majesty's support, success was assured. This was the essence of the underworld!
For the entire realm, regardless of the circumstances, as long as Hades was present, everything would fall into place. His existence served as a pillar of faith for the underworld; where Hades stood, faith thrived, and complacency was impossible. This was the transformation of the underworld.
"Hmm"
Meanwhile, Bael, one of the seventy-two demon gods and the supreme four pillars, surveyed the monster he had created, feeling a sense of something being off.
"Bael!" a voice called.
"Paimon?" Bael responded, surprised to see Paimon approaching him. Their relationship had always been strained, as Paimon often questioned why Bael held the top position among the seventy-two demon gods.
Despite their differences, each demon god understood that real troubles could unify them against a common enemy.
"Paimon, what brings you here?" Bael inquired.
Paimon nodded and explained, "I have an idea that could greatly enhance the power of our seventy-two demon gods."
"Tell me!" Bael urged, recognizing the significance of such a proposal.
At that moment, two more figures stepped forward: Astaroth and Asmodeus, also among the supreme four pillars. The four demon gods gathered, and Bael noted, "Paimon, did you summon everyone here?"
Paimon nodded. "This is just an idea, but I believe its potential is significant. If successful, the changes it would bring could be vital."
"Then let's try it," Bael agreed.
The four of them quickly moved to a special space—the interior of Bael's Demon God Pillar, a small world crafted by demon gods, showcasing their power.
Bael took his seat and said calmly, "Paimon, please share your thoughts."
Astaroth and Asmodeus listened intently, eager to understand Paimon's vision. He began, "Our seventy-two demon gods are, at our core, gods of the sky. While we have gained power as part of the underworld, we will always face limitations in our growth."
"Indeed," the others nodded in agreement.
The essence of the seventy-two demon gods was rooted in their origins, born to support hell. Their connection to the underworld granted them strength, but their past ties held them back from true power.
Paimon continued, "I propose we break through these limitations."
"Break through the source?" the others echoed, brows furrowing. This was no easy feat. Achieving a breakthrough from a god-king to a Primordial god was a monumental challenge, and this path would be even more arduous.
The origins of many gods were established at their birth, making any attempts to transcend them incredibly difficult.
With a mysterious smile, Paimon added, "I've done some research; that's why I sought you out."
