Chapter 247 - The Protagonists Of The World Are Humans, And The Gods Are Just Tool People

In the endless darkness, a realm inhabited by two Primordial gods, Hades had visited several times. Yet, never before had he felt the significance of this moment, a change that was palpable in the air. This endless darkness represented more than just their home; it was imbued with divine powers of sealing and concealment. Hades pondered quietly, wondering what they were hiding and the true nature of their presence in this abyss.

Upon arriving once more at the depths of the endless darkness, Hades paused. His demeanor was calm as two figures gradually emerged—Erebus and Nyx.

The Primordial couple radiated a different aura this time.

"Hehehe" Erebus chuckled, his voice filled with emotion. "Hades! You truly did it. After Cronus, you have become the second Primordial god worthy of that title, stepping into the hierarchy of the Primordial gods."

Primordial gods! Achieving such a status was not merely a matter of hard work. The number of Primordial gods in any realm is limited. One could either replace an existing deity or forge a path marked by extraordinary talent. Regardless of the route taken, each was an incredibly challenging endeavor.

If becoming a Primordial god were easy, there wouldn't be so few who had ascended to that level over the ages. Apart from Cronus, the once invincible Titan King, Hades was the only one who had truly embarked on this path. Others had been born as Primordial gods from the start.

Only Hades and Cronus had ascended to the rank of Primordial gods through sheer effort.

Hades, having faced numerous challenges, also encountered many opportunities along the way. He had navigated countless dangers to reach this point, becoming the supreme Primordial god.

With an indifferent tone, Hades asked, "Erebus, what is the purpose of this darkness, this place of concealment?"

"Indeed!" Erebus replied thoughtfully. "Now that you've reached the status of Primordial god, you've begun to grasp this. As you surmised, this darkness was created by us to shield ourselves. Over time, the Primordial gods have gradually retreated from the world stage. Gaia seldom awakens from her deep slumber, while Pontos resides at the edge of the world in the Black Sea. Uria, the mountain range above the earth, remains in eternal sleep, and Tartarus seldom leaves, Hades. Eros has even vanished from sight, and Uranus has become the very sky itself."

"This is the fate of the Primordial gods," Erebus continued. "Though we were born with immense power, our essence is intrinsically linked to the world, and we cann't change that. As time passes, we will be consumed by the world, and this process may take eons."

"Ah!"

"This is an unchangeable reality. One day, we will be completely absorbed by the world, becoming its very foundation—the earth, the sky, the ocean, the mountains, the Underworld, the darkness, the night, and love. We will become a part of the world, losing our identities forever. Doesn't that sound absurd? This is the fate of the Primordial gods."

"The creation of the world is attributed to the Primordial gods, and the growth of the world is also due to our efforts. Yet, when we no longer serve a purpose..."

"The world will gradually consume the Primordial gods, turning them to dust. Such an outcome is truly ironic!"

With a mocking smile, Erebus shook his head, a self-deprecating gesture that evoked discomfort. Yet, it was undeniably the foundation of reality.

Gods, under the world's arrangement, are merely tools for creation. Over time, they become obsolete, their existence no longer required. For the world, gods become a burden rather than a benefit, leading to their quiet removal.

Some gods perish in battles, while others are slowly absorbed by the world. This is the tragic fate of the gods. The true protagonists of existence are humans, while gods are merely tools!

This is the inevitable outcome dictated by fate. Whether one accepts it or not, this conclusion is predetermined.

"Hades!" Erebus mused. "Does it not feel ironic?"

"Hehehe" Nyx joined in with a self-deprecating smile. "Gods claim to rule the world, yet in truth, we are merely tools. Over time, we will be abandoned, becoming nourishment for the world, used to cultivate it. This irony is almost too ridiculous to bear!"

Calmly shaking her head, Nyx seemed unable to accept that this would be the ultimate outcome. The realization was surreal, the change profound—truly an irony of fate!

"Um." Hades nodded, his calm demeanor unwavering. "I understand what you both are saying. I've also sensed the flaw in our existence."

Like Erebus and Nyx, Hades recognized the truth. Being a keen observer, he grasped their perspective, understanding the implications of their existence. This awareness was significant, yet it left him remarkably composed.

Understand? Yes!

But since this is a matter dictated by fate, why not explore it? Whether fate consumes me or I resist and transcend it remains to be seen.

In essence, when everything is prepared, what will be the result of that preparation? The answer seems evident.
