Hades said quietly, "If I can't even defeat Father God, what qualifications do I have to face Him?"
Hades spoke very calmly, as if this were a matter of course. Koios wasn't annoyed; his expression remained calm as he replied, "Hades, you are really confident, just like his majesty. If that's the case, then I won't hold back either, it's a real fight."
"Pitch-black light source!"
Countless jets of darkness sprang forth, transforming into bright light sources in the next moment. In an instant, they burst forth and enveloped Hades.
In this era, the gods value power over skill. Battles among gods focus on the collision of pure strength, determining whose divine power is greater and whose divine weapon is more formidable. It's that simple.
However, Koios has never been that kind of person. His skills rank second among the twelve main gods of the Titans, surpassed only by Hyperion, the strongest among them. Koios understands that defeating an opponent through skill is not shameful.
Yet Hades hesitated a bit in the face of Koios's offensive; he hadn't expected Koios to use a technical approach.
Of course, this kind of offense posed no real challenge for me. When Hades raised his hand, bright divine power emerged, and the black thunder dissipated into the void. Anything that exists will be swallowed by death, as it is with everything.
And these black thunders were erased in Hades's hands, completely consumed by death.
"Flash Spike!"
However, this was not the end. Koios launched another punch, condensing his divine power to an extreme and frantically gathering the black thunder into one. The power formed at this moment was overwhelming, evoking a sense of endless fear.
Countless lightning fist shadows merged into a single entity, and the powerful divine energy created an unparalleled penetrating force that made Hades feel vulnerable.
"So…" Koios said, a smile playing on his lips, "how do you defend against this blow?"
Hades remained calm. The moment he raised his hand, a lacquer-black vortex emerged. Since it was impossible to guard against it, he decided to swallow it whole. The chaotic vortex completely consumed Koios's attack.
It seemed simple, perhaps too simple. In facing Koios's offensive, Hades's response was direct and unadorned. The simplicity of it, however, only heightened its gravity.
Koios looked serious and whispered, "Hades, you really are unlike before, you have truly grown. With my divine power, it is impossible to defeat you easily."
Hades replied calmly, "Among the Twelve Titan Main Gods, I don't think anyone can defeat me easily, not even in the past."
Koios smiled, a chuckle escaping him. "That's quite arrogant!"
Hades responded quietly, "It's not arrogance. If you lack the courage to face the Father God, you will never succeed."
"Indeed!" Koios replied. "If you don't have courage and self-confidence when facing His Majesty, then it's meaningless."
"In that case..." Koios said, no longer hesitating. "Hades, since you're prepared, if I'm here, it's meaningless. Hades, with your splendor and glory, you will die here forever!"
Hades's eyes were indifferent, devoid of emotional fluctuations. He simply raised his hand, and his divine power transformed into endless darkness. In an instant, a giant dark beast that seemed ready to consume everything emerged, intending to devour Koios.
"Dark devouring."
He uttered those two words lightly, and a terrifying force of consumption surged from the darkness, gradually engulfing Koios.
But before being consumed, Koios smiled and said softly, "Hades, this is your preparation! You may seem arrogant, but you excel in skills."
As Koios was entirely consumed, Hades remarked calmly, "I am not an arrogant person. Calmness signifies prudence. I will not underestimate any opponent, even if they are merely an ant."
A memory involuntarily surfaced, the image of ants slaying gods was deeply imprinted in his mind. If he had been careless and suffered defeat, Hades would never forgive himself.
Everything seemed to return to calm, as if Koios had been swallowed whole. Yet Hades showed no signs of carelessness.
Instead, when he raised his hand, one hundred and eight magic stars transformed into strange skulls, floating beside him and making a weird "click" sound.
At the same time, a bright giant tree emerged behind Hades. The shadow of the dark purple tree loomed over him, as if the entire underworld was rising from its depths. He had made all the necessary preparations, leaving nothing to chance.
Because the opponent is one of the Twelve Titans! In the face of such an existence, should he relax his vigilance? That would be a joke!
As expected, wisps of lacquer-black thunder suddenly pierced through the darkness, revealing a figure in a dark purple battle suit stepping forth from the endless void. The aura of divine power around him had changed completely.
