Chereads / Doulou Dalu: Sharingan as a Martial spirit / Chapter 13 - The Three Tomoe Sharingan

Chapter 13 - The Three Tomoe Sharingan

" I felt those powerful negative emotions just now. If you can't control yourself, you might fall prey to an evil soul master in the future," Du Bu Si warned.

Han Yu looked up, realizing the truth in his teacher's words. "I understand, Teacher. I will calm down and learn to control my emotions," he declared, determination shining in his eyes. He refused to be ruled by his feelings; he wanted to be himself.

Du Bu Si nodded with satisfaction, a hint of softness in his expression. "Your martial spirit is indeed powerful. I can sense that your mental power has increased significantly since your Sharingan reached three tomoee. It's now comparable to that of an average Soul King. However, you still need to master its use. I will help you control this power."

Feeling a twinge of self-blame, Han Yu thought about how he had treated Du Bu Si despite the teacher's kindness.

"Don't blame yourself. I didn't expect the Sharingan to have such serious side effects. I assumed you couldn't hurt me even with my strength," Du Bu Si reassured him, sensing his thoughts.

"Now, let's eat. You've used a lot of energy; you need to replenish it."

Han Yu remained silent, his heart filled with gratitude. The kindness he felt from Du Bu Si stirred something deep within him.

Looking up, Han Yu saw dark blue meat cut into long strips on the tray—about a dozen pieces. "What is this?" he asked curiously.

Du Bu Si laughed. "You're lucky, kid. This is the belly of a thousand-year-old tuna from the deep sea. It's rich in high-quality fish oil. I caught one while rescuing you."

"Oh!" Han Yu nodded. It looked raw, so he expected it might not taste very good, but hunger gnawed at him. He picked up a piece and took a bite.

To his surprise, the fish was incredibly delicious—there was no fishy taste, just a rich aroma that filled his mouth. After a few chews, a warm current rushed through his limbs, making him feel indescribably comfortable.

"Good stuff!" Han Yu's eyes lit up, and he quickly devoured the rest. Within moments, the entire plate was empty, and he patted his belly with satisfaction.

Feeling revitalized, he noticed a slight itchiness in his muscles and skin, surprised by how nourishing the tuna was. The warmth radiating from his body made him drowsy, and he leaned back, quickly succumbing to sleep.

"This kid, haha!" Du Bu Si chuckled, watching him with a fond smile.

After this it was a comfortable night for both of them as they decided to relax and take a good rest.

Han Yu slept soundly until morning, waking to the sun already high in the sky. He got up, rubbing his slightly dazed eyes, and instinctively stretched. A series of crackling sounds echoed from his bones, as if his whole body was awakening.

"Ahh!" A groan of comfort escaped him. The weakness from yesterday had vanished, replaced by a vibrant strength. He felt significantly more powerful than before.

"When you wake up, come over and eat! Why are you just stretching there? There are no beauties to impress!" Du Bu Si's teasing voice cut through his thoughts, causing Han Yu to feel a twinge of embarrassment.

"Teacher, can't you be a bit more serious? You talk so… flirtatiously! If you keep this up, your apprentice might get led astray!" Han Yu shot back playfully as he approached.

Du Bu Si chuckled. "Haha! Just wait until you grow up. Then I'll lead you to scale the heights, explore the depths, and show you the wonders of this world!"

Han Yu rolled his eyes at his teacher's playful banter. "Forget that! I just want to train hard now and become a powerful soul master so I can take over from you."

Of course, Han Yu understood what Du Bu Si was alluding to, but matters of romance were far from his mind. After feeling his own weakness yesterday, he was determined to focus solely on becoming stronger. Women and distractions would only slow his cultivation.

He polished off the last of the tuna from yesterday, feeling reenergized. "Teacher, what's next for our training?"

When the topic shifted to cultivation, Du Bu Si's demeanor grew serious. "Do you know why our Body Sect is so powerful?"

"Because of the original martial spirit?" Han Yu replied quickly.

Du Bu Si shook his head. "Yes and no. The original martial spirit is indeed powerful, but without systematic training, its potential can't be fully developed. It can only be considered top-tier, especially compared to lower-quality spirits."

He continued, "Your eye martial arts are among the most formidable of the main body martial arts. While they're referred to as eye martial souls, they're fundamentally connected to the brain. The strength of a martial soul corresponds to the significance of the body part it represents. The more crucial the part, the more powerful it becomes."

Han Yu nodded, understanding this well. He was also aware that he had the potential for a second awakening.

Du Bu Si paused, then elaborated, "The true strength of the Body Sect lies in our ability to combine our martial souls with specialized techniques. This can lead to the second awakening of the martial soul."

"After the second awakening, the attribute of your martial soul will greatly enhance your power. Even a low-level martial soul awakening can rival high-level or even top-tier martial souls."

"So next, we need to focus on performing the second awakening of your martial soul. Once that's successful, we can return to the Body Sect."

Han Yu nodded, considering the possibility of his Sharingan undergoing a second awakening. If it could, it would undoubtedly become even more formidable. "Teacher, I understand!"

Before he could say more, Du Bu Si suddenly grabbed his neck, and in an instant, they were soaring through the sky.

"Are we doing this again?" Han Yu thought, just as Du Bu Si plunged them into the sea.

With a loud "plop," they submerged into the depths, and the water pressure intensified around them. But this time, Han Yu was prepared. He had a different mindset—calm and ready to face the challenge ahead.

As they sank deeper, the surrounding light faded, mirroring the previous experience. Though the process was painfully familiar, Han Yu felt a newfound resilience. Thanks to the previous day's training, he could better withstand the pressure and maintain his focus.

Du Bu Si pressed him down, and Han Yu struggled against the water pressure, determined to emerge stronger from this trial.

And he was much stronger than yesterday, at least he didn't lose consciousness.

But the huge pressure in the deep sea still made his whole body sore.

The tuna he had eaten played a role at this moment.

Han Yu could feel the heat flowing through his body, helping him recover his consumed physical strength.
