He looked up at me, his voice dangerously calm. "Why didn't you tell me about this?"
"I didn't... I wasn't sure what they meant," I admitted, feeling the weight of my mistake crashing over me. "I didn't know who they were from, or if they were connected to Mira—"
"They're not from Mira," Marcus cut in, his tone final. "They're from this third party. Whoever they are, they've been playing both sides. Watching Mira, watching us, and now... watching Eleanor."
The words hung between us, thick with unspoken fear.
Alexander stared at me, his eyes hardening. "This changes everything. We need to find out who's behind this." He turned to Marcus. "Noah's our link. We get to him, and we'll get answers."
Marcus nodded, already moving toward the door. "I'll have our team track his movements. But if he suspects we're onto him—"
"Then we'll need to move fast," Alexander finished, his voice low and determined.
