I had so many well-wishers come to congratulate me and Miles on our wedding, my head felt like it was spinning! The wedding ceremony was complete, as was the meal afterward. My Dad kept looking at me with a proud smile, and for once, I actually felt his approval and his pride in me, and it felt good. He looked happy with me, which was a rarity.
Miles had barely let go of my hands, showering me with compliments, telling me how much he was looking forward to our wedding night. I can’t say that I was, considering the emptiness his kiss had brought to me… the wedding night brought little hope! He was showing me off like a fucking prize right now, and quite honestly it irritated me. Because I wanted to be anywhere but with him.
