The weapon that is currently wielded by Kox is something very uncommon. It is termed 'beast weapon'. The reason is pretty simple; it is because it is made from beast crystals gotten from beasts.
Beast crystals is something every beast possesses. The stronger the beast, the stronger the beast crystals. Most times, beast crystals even possesses the special attributes the beast it is gotten from has.
This is how the beast weapon's skill came about.
Not many know about this because up till now in the tier-8 city, only one in a thousand even knows about the existence of beast weapon. The use of crystals in the tier-8 city is simply for exchanges or power generation.
It is used for exchanges like a currency, to purchase goods or services and as for the power generation, it is used in powering electronics which is nearly non-existent in the tier-8 city but it still exists.
