The statement isn't actually a lie nor is it completely correct. No beast, by that I mean, no beast is easy to kill, not a single one of them. Zain only realized that now.
Due to how Gem and Dem were able to kill some newborn beast with barely any struggle made him underestimated the capability of beasts.
