Chapter 6 - First Hunt

A week passed in a blur of training, laughter, and newfound camaraderie. Koy felt stronger, more confident. He had gained a small group of goblins who believed in his vision. Today was the day they would go on their first hunt together, and Koy was determined to impress them.

As they gathered in the clearing, Garok stood at the forefront. "Alright, listen up! We're going to hunt some rabbits today. Koy, you lead the charge. Show us what you've got!"

Koy's heart raced. "Me? Lead? Okay!" He quickly scanned the forest, remembering what he had learned. "Let's split into two groups. Miri, you take half of us to the left. I'll take the other half to the right. We'll surround the rabbits and drive them toward the middle!"

Garok raised an eyebrow but nodded, impressed by Koy's initiative. "Alright, let's see what you've got."

With a sense of purpose, Koy led his group through the trees, heart pounding with excitement. The chatter of his goblin companions faded as he focused on the task at hand. They crept through the underbrush, quiet and alert.

Suddenly, Koy spotted a small rabbit nibbling on some grass. He signaled to his group, motioning for them to be still. "Get ready," he whispered. "On my mark, we'll rush it!"

They waited, breath held tight in anticipation. The rabbit was blissfully unaware, its ears twitching as it continued to munch. "Three… two… one—go!"

The goblins sprang into action, rushing toward the rabbit. Koy felt adrenaline coursing through him as he lunged forward, dagger raised. The rabbit bolted, but they were quick—Miri dashed ahead, cutting off its escape route.

With a swift movement, she caught the rabbit, bringing it down with a precise strike. "Got it!" she cheered, holding it up triumphantly.

Koy couldn't help but laugh. "You're amazing, Miri! That was brilliant!"

As they gathered around the catch, Garok clapped Koy on the back. "You did well, leading us. Maybe you'll make a real goblin after all."

Koy beamed with pride, feeling a sense of belonging among them. "Thanks! I couldn't have done it without all of you."

As they returned to the camp with their prize, Koy realized this was just the beginning. With determination in his heart and allies at his side, he would not only survive—he would thrive and eventually rule this world.
