Chapter 31 - Night in the Bridal Room?

Although a Machina Lolita still waits for him, Riku won't let it weigh on his mind. After all, a harem is every man's ultimate dream! If he has a good impression of a woman, why wouldn't he pursue her love?

Riku isn't one to capture beautiful women like Pokémon, as some harem protagonists do, but he won't ignore a woman he genuinely cares for. The Beast race feared he would treat them as cannon fodder in the future, but Riku had no intention of doing so. He held firm to his principles. If he were truly someone willing to do anything to achieve his goals, no marriage would stand in his way. Yet, their actions surprised and satisfied him—this felt like an opportunity falling right into his hands.

"Hahaha! That's great, Lord Riku! We WereBeasts and you humans will be the most sincere allies moving forward!" The Beast leader's laughter filled the air as his elders mirrored his joy.

Fiya, standing nearby, clutched her kimono, her red eyes shimmering with a mix of shyness and joy.

"Fiya, please take care of me from now on," Riku said gently, extending his hand to her.

"Uh-huh…" Fiya's heart pounded in her chest as she stared at Riku's outstretched hand. Her face flushed, and her small hand trembled as she reached out to shake his.

This time, Fiya Hatsuse wasn't as composed as the first time she'd shaken hands with him. Riku grinned, releasing her hand and patting her gently on the head.

Unlike before, Fiya didn't resist. She closed her eyes in comfort, her tail wagging rapidly, her ears twitching slightly. In this moment, Fiya was like a tamed little pet, endearing and irresistible.

"Since we're planning to marry, have you all decided on a date?" Riku asked, his gaze sweeping across the Beast leaders gathered around.

"If it's a date, how about tomorrow? I'm sure Lord Riku has plenty to attend to afterward, so why not handle this swiftly?" the Beast leader suggested with a smile.

"That's exactly what I was thinking."

"Agreed," the other elders chimed in.

"That soon, huh… Alright." Riku scratched his nose, hesitating momentarily before finally nodding in agreement. As the leader pointed out, he had much to do and couldn't afford to waste time. He needed to grow stronger quickly.

"Then it's settled! Tomorrow, we'll hold the wedding between Princess Fiya and Lord Riku!" the Beast leaders declared, their laughter echoing through the hall.

The discussions continued, filled with joy and chatter, before eventually dispersing. Later, Riku was escorted to his guest room by a maid. Despite everything, Riku drifted off to sleep naturally, only leaving a small part of his mind to set up an early warning barrier. Today had been exhausting.

Fiya, on the other hand, lay wide awake. Her head buried under the quilt, her thoughts ran wild, causing her to make soft, almost embarrassed sounds.

The next day, the Beast tribe was abuzz with excitement. Their princess was going to marry a human, and it had sparked a huge uproar among the tribe. Some were skeptical, some curious, while others were outright furious or jealous.

However, none could oppose this decision. It had been agreed upon by Fiya, the Beast chief, and the elders. Trouble would be swiftly dealt with, and the benefits were clearly laid out. Even if they harbored jealousy, they kept it to themselves. After all, this was their princess—the tribe's most talented and powerful member—marrying a human!

Dressed in red, looking every bit the part of a groom, Riku strolled casually down the road, accompanied by a procession of musicians and ceremonial followers. To be honest, the Beasts hadn't put on such a grand display for a wedding in a long time. In the past, even the marriages of high-ranking members of the Beast tribe were conducted with minimal fanfare. After all, in such a chaotic era, who had time for lavish celebrations?

But today, many of the Beasts couldn't help but gawk at Riku, their curiosity evident as they whispered among themselves.

Riku didn't mind—he enjoyed the attention. With a relaxed smile, he glanced over the large gathering of Beasts. Getting married wasn't bad at all.

When he finally reached the palace, the wedding ceremony began, overseen by the Beast leader. Everything went smoothly, without any surprises.

After the formalities were done, it was time for the bridal chamber…

Riku prepared to lead Fiya, her face flushed beneath her white wedding veil, to the bridal room. Her tail swayed quickly behind her, a clear sign of her excitement and nervousness. Both Riku and Fiya were feeling a mix of joy and unease—marriage was, after all, a significant event in their lives.

But Riku found himself grappling with an internal dilemma: should he… do it? It seemed a bit too soon. Wasn't it a bit too… animalistic?

Sensing Riku's hesitation, the Beast leader leaned in with a knowing smile. "Lord Riku, don't let it weigh on you. The 'bridal night' custom is sacred to us WereBeasts, and we cannot break such traditions," he said, his tone full of encouragement.

Riku glanced at Fiya, her face still rosy, her tail swinging faster than ever. She seemed ready, but was he? The night loomed large, and Riku knew that whether or not he was prepared, the customs of this new world would be hard to avoid.
