"———!" Like a flash of lightning, Dora charged towards Riku, his immense speed causing the air to shudder with a thunderous roar. Riku's purple eyes narrowed as he swiftly dodged to the side, just barely avoiding the attack. Dora's fist smashed through the empty air, sending a powerful shockwave rippling through the atmosphere. The force of it made Riku's body go numb. He knew that if even one punch connected, it would turn him into a bloody mist.
"Roar!" Dora bellowed, his gaze locked on Riku. With the same unnatural agility, he stepped on the air and charged again, defying all logic. The Beast captain had broken through physical boundaries that were unimaginable to ordinary people. If Newton were still around, he might have clawed his way out of his coffin just to witness this impossible scene.
"Dang!" At the last possible second, Riku activated his elemental energy, summoning a shield between himself and the Beast. Dora's fist collided with the shield, and a burst of explosions echoed out. The sheer force of the impact sent Riku flying back, but his shield held strong. Dora, however, was unrelenting. His savage eyes gleamed with a feral hunger as he stalked forward.
"Human, how long do you think you can hold on?" Dora's voice was a guttural growl, more beast than man. He charged again, a whirlwind of muscle and rage, determined not to stop until Riku was torn limb from limb. Each of Dora's steps cracked the air, his movements so fast that they were difficult to follow. The Beast was relentless—every punch, every charge was filled with deadly intent. His speed was terrifying, and his strength even more so.
Riku's mind raced. He knew that even a single hit would mean instant death, but this wasn't an ordinary fight. He couldn't afford to waste energy. The stakes were far too high. The Flügel species might be able to overwhelm an enemy with pure magic, but Riku was playing a different game.
"This guy's finished! No matter how strong he is, he can't last against our captain's BloodBreak technique!"
Below, the remaining Beasts laughed confidently, their sharp teeth flashing in the light as they watched their leader overpower Riku. They didn't understand how a human could fight at this level, but they believed in Dora's victory. He was one of their strongest, and in their eyes, the outcome was already decided.
Riku, however, wasn't listening to their taunts. "Fine," he muttered to himself, his hands glowing with energy as he formed a bow and summoned a spiral sword, Caladbolg. "I'm not really much for archery, but this'll have to do."
With a calm precision that belied the chaos around him, Riku nocked the sword onto the bowstring and pulled back, his eyes focused on Dora.
"Do you seriously think you can hit me with that thing?" Dora sneered, his monstrous voice echoing through the air. He unleashed a devastating punch against Riku's shield. "Kaka—!"
A cracking sound reverberated as spiderweb-like fractures spread across the energy shield. Dora's cruel smile widened. One more punch, and it would shatter. Victory was within his grasp.
But Riku had other plans.
In a flash of purple light, Riku's body vanished from sight.
"Where did he go?" Dora's eyes widened as panic flickered across his face. His instincts kicked in just a moment too late. "Not good!"
Before Dora could react, Riku appeared behind him. Without hesitation, Riku released the spiral sword. The demonic Caladbolg tore through the air and pierced Dora's body with a sickening crunch, leaving a gaping blood hole in its wake. Blood sprayed into the sky like a crimson fountain, and Dora let out a strangled gasp.
"Gah!" Dora clutched his chest, staring in disbelief at the wound. His life force was draining fast. "Damn you, human!" In a final, desperate act, Dora swung his clawed hand behind him, trying to strike Riku down in his last moments.
But Riku had already disappeared, reappearing just out of reach, his expression cold and detached. He watched as Dora's final burst of strength faded, and the Beast captain slumped forward.
"Space manipulation... how could you..." Dora's voice was weak, his words trailing off into a sad, defeated whisper. He coughed up blood, his body trembling before finally collapsing, his eyes wide with disbelief. Even in death, he couldn't fathom how he had been bested by a human.
Riku stared down at Dora's lifeless body, his purple eyes hard. "Did you really think I was running around without a plan? Every move was calculated." He paused, letting the weight of his words sink in, though they were meant only for himself now. The teleportation ability granted by Shambhala required specific spatial coordinates, but it had all been set up from the beginning. Dora had been trapped in Riku's game from the very start.
Before Dora's body could even hit the ground, Riku activated the Hermes Boots and moved in a flash, his form blurring with speed. In an instant, he reached the Beast's body and snatched the backpack wrapped around Dora's waist, tossing it into his storage space. His cold efficiency left no room for sentimentality.
"Captain Dora!" The remaining Beasts below finally snapped out of their shock, their faces twisted in disbelief. Their captain, their strongest warrior, the one who had mastered the BloodBreak technique, was dead.
"Damn you, human!" one of them roared, his voice shaking with fury. The remaining four Beasts, overwhelmed by anger and hatred, launched themselves into the air, determined to tear Riku apart.
But their rage clouded their judgment. Unlike Dora, they couldn't push their bodies past their natural limits. They couldn't reach the same terrifying speeds or shatter the laws of physics. They were nothing more than live targets now, offering themselves up on a platter.
Riku's expression didn't change. He knew exactly how this was going to end.
