The hospital ward was silent, with only the soft beeping of machines breaking the quiet.
Rhysand Lee Golden sat beside the old lady's bed, holding a small velvet box in his hand.
Inside lay a pair of antique rings, delicate and beautifully aged. Butler Jorah, who stood respectfully nearby, spoke in a gentle voice, "Young Master, these rings were prepared for you and Mrs. Ocean by the madam before her illness."
Rhysand's gaze softened as he looked down at the rings.
He had been planning to divorce Ariel Ocean in three months, and so he had never thought of giving her a ring.
But now, as he stared at these heirlooms, a strange emotion flickered across his face.
With a firm nod, he replied, "I'll give it to Ariel."
Just then, his phone vibrated.
An anonymous message appeared on his screen: "Rhysand, your wife Ariel is cheating on you! Congratulations!" The words practically dripped with mockery.
