Ariel opened her hand, stepping back.
"Don't think you can win the bid by stealing my work and putting your name on it," she said coldly.
Lauren was caught off guard, blurting out, "How did you know?"
"You've taken my things several times. I've been watching you," Ariel replied firmly.
Lauren had been acting all smug around the office, like she'd already won the bid, and Ariel had her suspicions that Lauren had meddled with her documents.
On the plane, Lauren pretended to have a headache and sent Callum away.
She quickly opened his file folder and she had tampered with the documents.
But Ariel had come prepared, making backup copies just in case.
As soon as Callum left, she swiftly swapped the files back.
After making her point, Ariel turned and walked away.
Lauren was fuming but didn't dare cause a scene. She hadn't expected Ariel to have a backup plan.
