Ariel Ocean ran out of the private room, heading quickly in the opposite direction.
Hailey instantly realized what was happening and shouted, "Master McGuire, Ariel lied to you! I swear she's not sick at all. Look at her legs!"
Master McGuire turned around and saw blood trickling down Ariel's slender legs.
His expression hardened, twisting with anger. "You dare play me, you little liar?!"
"Ariel, stop right there!" Hailey shouted, her voice full of urgency.
They had just secured Master McGuire's help for the contract.
If they failed to keep him satisfied today, future cooperation would be difficult.
Hailey was about to chase after Ariel, but a waiter stepped in front of her. "Excuse me, Miss Ocean, please settle the bill before you leave."
Hailey blinked in surprise, then snapped, "What are you talking about? I gave you my credit card already!"
The waiter held out a receipt. "The guest in your private room ordered several bottles of rare vintage liquor. Your card has been maxed out, and there's still a balance of 43,000 dollars. Will you be paying by card or cash?"
"What?!" Hailey grabbed the bill, her face turning white as she skimmed the list.
Each bottle was astronomically priced—well beyond her means.
"Ariel!" she screamed in fury.
This girl had intentionally ordered the most expensive liquor behind her back.
"That wretched girl did this on purpose!" Hailey fumed as she turned to the manager. "I lost something valuable, and I'm sure Ariel stole it. I demand the club be locked down until she's found!"
Meanwhile, Rhysand Lee Golden walked down the hallway with Butler Jorah following closely behind, his face full of apology.
"Young Master Rhysand, Chairman Lee Golden insists you return to Peak City to meet your fiancée."
"I won't go."
"And what about the promise your father signed?"
"He can handle them himself."
As they continued down the hall, a voice echoed, filled with anger.
"She dares trick me! When I catch that girl Ariel, I'll make her pay!"
Rhysand's tall frame halted, his eyes narrowing as he turned his sharp gaze toward the voice.
Master McGuire came charging down the hall, but when he saw a tall figure blocking his way, he snapped, "Move out of my way!"
Rhysand stood firm, his gaze cold and unmoving.
Master McGuire's anger flared as he prepared to swear at Rhysand.
But when he looked up at Rhysand's indifferent face, he hesitated.
The aura of superiority surrounding Rhysand made it clear he wasn't someone to be trifled with.
"Step aside!" Master McGuire demanded, though his voice wavered slightly.
Rhysand's piercing black eyes stared directly at him, and he asked in a slow, cold tone, "Who did you say you were looking for?"
Master McGuire was taken aback.
Seeing the contemptuous look on Rhysand's face, he felt a surge of anger.
He was used to being an arrogant and domineering figure, so he spat out, "Get out of my way! Don't make me late for my fun with women."
Rhysand didn't move, his icy gaze fixed on him.
Master McGuire, now irritated, glared at him. "Do you know the Lee Golden family in Peak City? I'm close friends with them. You'd better mind your own business and step aside!"
Rhysand sneered, his lips curling in disdain. "You're friends with the Lee Golden family?"
The mocking tone stung Master McGuire's pride. Angered, he puffed out his chest. "That's right! With the Lee Golden's backing, I can do whatever I want in Rain City. You should think twice before crossing me!"
Before he could finish his sentence, someone stormed up from behind him, shouting, "Shut your mouth!"
Master McGuire flinched as the voice echoed down the hall.
When he turned, he saw that the one who had shouted was none other than his father, Master McGuire Sr. "Dad, this guy is causing trouble, blocking my way!"
Rhysand glanced at Master McGuire Sr. and calmly asked, "Is he your son?"
Master McGuire Sr.'s face went pale. He hurriedly apologized, "Young Master Rhysand, my son lacks discipline. I'm truly sorry."
Master McGuire looked confused. "Dad, why are you apologizing to him? With the Lee Golden family backing us, we don't need to be afraid of anyone!" He turned back to Rhysand. "Are you Ariel's lover or something?"
Rhysand's eyes narrowed dangerously at the mention of Ariel's name.
Master McGuire Sr. couldn't take it any longer.
He kicked his son hard in the stomach, sending him crashing to the floor with a cry of pain.
"Dad! Why are you—" Master McGuire groaned, clutching his stomach in shock.
From behind Rhysand, a calm voice spoke up.
Collins, hands in his pockets, approached the scene. "Hey, didn't you say you knew Third Young Master Lee Golden? How come you don't know him when he's standing in front of you?"
