Although Earth was the birthplace of human civilization, it had not experienced any radical change in terms of looks unlike most other human settlements where there was a very futuristic look . Not that there was an absence of modern tech but rather many places on Earth still retained the popular landmarks and buildings and the same stone cobbled streets and others which were common over a century ago , these and many others served as cultural memories for the human race .
As it was now the rush hour there was a lot of flying cars and pedestrians who were hurrying home from work ,despite how advanced humanity was , the routine lifestyle of most people was just the same as over a hundred years ago ;fast paced. Being ability users didn't change a thing for most people as not everyone had that adventurous spark in them .
On one of those ancient stone cobbled streets two youths could be seen walking side by side while discussing excitedly with each other , because they were standing side by side with each other they caused heads to turn due to how sharp of a contrast they formed . While one was short the other was tall ,one was really fat the other was well , lean . They made one wonder how they even got acquainted with each other in the first place.
The two youths were obviously Dongfan Yue and Pang Pengyou who were just leaving the Shanlong restaurant's game cafe .
After they finished their first game they both made a suprising discovery , in other to ascertain how true it was they played a couple more mech games and a bunch of physical duel rounds and the results ? Saying they were shocked was an understatement , they were totally floored . Throughout all the games they played they discovered that they were able to use their abilities !
Normally speaking , being that they had just awakened their abilities they should not have been able to use them , they had to go through a systematic training process in order to be able to use them hence the importance of colleges and universities , even supreme grade talents and the most powerful human ability users had to go through a training process in order to be able to use their abilities .
Being able to use their abilities like they could was unprecedented as far as they were aware , as an analogy consider a situation whereby a class of high school students were able to solve complicated calculus problems without any prior knowledge , that is simply incomprehensible . In the same way being able to use your ability without any guidance was simply unheard of !
" You see , when I said we were destined to defy the heavens you said I was joking, now do you believe ? Haha , I knew I was right all along , say Dongfan what do you think about becoming a fortune teller ? I bet we would be raking in truck loads of money !"
" Can you stop your superstitious ranting ,there is something we are not getting here , because how we were able to use our abilities still eludes me ."
" Blah , who cares about how we were able to use them , the main thing is that we ARE able to use them , do you know what that means ? We already posses the strength of a JOURNEYMAN ! Hoo ho , the strength of a journeyman ability user even before becoming one , I bet even that Bai Zhaoran guy is just in the same level as us , I wonder how his face will be if he discovers that there are two random can go toe to toe with him yet are not Journeymen ."
" Hey , am not bursting your bubble or anything but remember , all that was in a virtual environment , in the real world we might not be able to do anything ."
Nah , Nova soul is praised for how realistic their simulations are ,it's definitely a portrayal of what we can do ."

By this point they were in one of those public parks where you could come for relaxation ,it was always busy during the day especially on the weekends but now being night time it was already deserted .
Walking around Pang Pengyou soon came to a stop in front of a boulder following him was a Dongfan Yue who was confused as he was just following him without knowing how he was going to try out his ability .
" Remember how we wrecked those three mechs , oh yeah , am gonna wreck this rock ."
Standing back Dongfan Yue watched as Pang Pengyou closed his eyes before abruptly opening them , the next moment he yelled softly : " Shatter for me "
And nothing happened , stomping the ground he said the same phrase till his face was entirely flushed red due to his exertations , embarrassedly he looked towards Dongfan Yue who was desperately trying to stifle a laugh , however seeing Pang Pengyou's flushed face he was unable to keep it in .
"Haha haha hahaaaaahaa ,you are indeed powerful , oh mighty ability user , your wonderous strength is captivating . " Said Dongfan Yue mockingly while clutching his belly .
Pang Pengyou face was already very dark like the clouds before a great thunderstorm.

" Stupid rock just shatter already !"
'CRACK'
" Huh !" , looking up at the boulder Dongfan Yue let out a short gasp before saying :" Wow , Pengyou ,you really did it ? "
"Er , did what ?"
" The rock dummy , you really cracked it !"
" I did ?"
Looking back Pang Pengyou saw that a thing line ran across the rock vertically ,the top looked like someone smashed a hammer on it causing it to crack.
" Haha , I knew it, told ya right it was not a fluke ."
Looking at his friend Dongfan Yue was really surprised as being able to use their ability came as a shocker to him .
Smiling he said : " Maybe we really are destined to defy the heavens ."
Suddenly the thin crack line on the boulder started to extend inwards while emmiting a loud cracking noise.
Being under the sun and rain for God knows how many years it couldn't hold up again and finally broke all thanks to Pengyou .
" Oh oh ,we gotta scram !"
Breaking into two semicircular halves one fell flat on the ground while the other rolled till it crashed into a stone statue giving off a loud sound in the process .
Looking at each other in fear ,they both rushed out of the park towards their homes .
The next morning the local news paper had a column had something to work with.
