It was already a week now after the park incident . Though the press snooped around for a clue on who the perpetrators were there was no result after searching for nearly two days so they had to drop the case as a lot of more interesting things happened , such as the daughter of the Luo family ,one of the three big families in Shongai,Lou shirou breaking through to the Journeyman realm and the mysterious ability user who was sighted breaking into a candy shop , however all these paled in comparison to one upcoming event which everyone looked forward to : the Academy admission results .
As previously mentioned , in the early years when abilities just debuted for most ability users to gain access to systematic training and adequate resources one either had to join the military or one of those big galactic families . Each had their own pros and cons , the military being that they expected you to obey without question ,though you could rise up the ranks of humanity's upper echelons most people really could not get used to a military setting . The big families on the other hand were practically on the same frequency as the military in that they expected your total loyalty to them. As most ability users were previously civilians both seemed to be asking for too much thus the emergence of academies , Passed into law by the lawmakers of the Cosmic Earth Alliance ,academies were based on the principle that by merging the best qualities of military training and that of those big families there would be something that anybody could opt in for , and it a success . As they were a gathering place for the best tutors of humanity ,even the heirs of those big families also attended those academies.
Now , there were various academies spread all across human civilization , although they were free for all to attend there were some thresholds one had to overcome in order to gain admission to any academy . This threshold was simply the academy entrance exams , don't think the exams were easy as it was one of the most difficult exams in human history. It entailed a wide variety of subjects , each requiring the examinees to be well versed in them .
Generally speaking ,the results of those who applied for an academy was usually released a week after the awakening process had taken place , this was to ensure that there was amole time to consider maybe an applicant should or should not be admitted into the academy.
As it had been over a week now most people had already received their admission letters since it was sent directly to their personal communications device .
Sitting in his room Dongfan Yue was currently scrolling through the news feed on his personal comms, the room was small just about twenty square meters but it was enough as he lived alone , his parents had died when he was very young about when he was eight years old due to an accident during a business trip . Due to this he maturer a lot faster than his age mates , it was therefore a surprise for those who knew him that his best friend was Pang Pengyou.
At this moment he was checking his admission status which was currently showing admitted successfully . Even though Dongfan Yue was confident , he could say either a hundred percent certainty that he would be admitted .
The academy he applied to was called Dawn star academy , located in the Carrabba star system which was approximately seventeen light years away from Earth it could be said to be very difficult to gain an admission into the university as it's admission requirements were , well , over the top .
It was well known for educating ability users who were tough and very powerful .
Looking at the floating holographic page showing that he was admitted Dongfan Yue heaved a sigh of relief.
It was not easy to gain an admission in the first place due to the high standards academies possed , gaining an admission into one of Dawn star's caliber could be said to be excellent due to the high standards most academies possessed.
Sitting on his bed Dongfan Yue pondered about what happened last week .
The fact that they were able to make use of their abilities still baffled him till now , he could still understand Pang Pengyou using his ability as the lady who helped them with their registration at the ability association mentioned that this was the first time she was seeing a nine storied pagoda so it could be one of the qualities of his ability since it seemed to be an upgrade to the common seven storied pagoda , furthermore his origin soul level was only a little bit far away reaching the Journeyman realm .
However his own circumstance baffled him as he was not even supposed to be able to use anything close to an ability. His origin soul energy was pitifully low while he couldn't really make heads or heels fron his Rubik's cube , no pun intended.
Actually ever since that night when he was struck by that mysterious bolt of lightning he found out that he was somehow stronger just like a bonafide ability user , therefore it might also be the reason he was able to use hi ability naturally .
Speaking about using his ability , he was not actually sure about what his cube was able to do ,during that five versus five match that he and Pang Pengyou took part in , the way he killed those aboriginals was confusing to say the least , he only knew that he felt like those beasts should just slow down a little bit and they did . Actually not that they willing stopped but rather it seemed that they were stuck in a quagmire, their movement seemed like they had time slowed down around them .
At first he thought that his ability cube was of the time attribute but then thrwmew that thought away immediately he had it . If it was the time ability his soul energy level would not be that measly fourty ankhs .
Furthermore , when they reunited with star fire and destroyed those three enemy mech's something prompted him to mentally command them to stop and yet they did ,vthis made him to think that his ability was a psychic type , however he was still in an explotary stage so he wasn't really sure .
Looking into his soul sea Dongfan Yue muttered to himself ; " Just what are you ?"
