Zephyrine sat in the car beside Kendrick. She was surprised when she came out of the hospital and realized that Matt was not with him today. They were always together as if they were joined together from birth. He didn't come with him probably because he knew his purpose for coming. However, since they had gotten into the car, Zephyrine noticed that his expression had changed totally.
It pushed Zephyrine to ask. He wasn't like this minutes ago, so what made him change so quickly? Zephyrine was sure she didn't do anything wrong. "Kendrick, is everything okay?" Zephyrine asked, looking at him with concern. "You seem a bit...off."
Kendrick's expression turned a little cold and stiff. Is she really asking that question? How can she act as if she didn't know what she did? He started the car and focused his eyes on the road ahead, ignoring Zephyrine's question.
