Chapter 19 - Stockpiling (11)

Selling firearms is a lucrative business in H country.

The country's citizens can apply for gun ownership after meeting the requirements.

Looking at the dazzling display of firearms and ammunition on the shelves, her heart was beating fast.

However, she did not have the qualification to buy firearms.

In H Country, you need to hold an official license to trade and you would need to be a citizen to get the license.

Therefore, the licensed gun dealers were not her goal but rather the private sellers, which doesn't have a federal law that requires a mandatory background check and TTP.

For her to locate a private seller, she loitered around these gun store shops, eavesdropping on conversation and jotting down notes in her mind.

"They are definitely sweet babies! They're similar to the latest ones the military used. I heard the depot was very strict in their production, and everyone is branded with a tracking number. Where did you get these?"

Four hard-to-come by sniper rifle Barrett M82 and Barrett mm95 with ultra-precision scope without engraved with tracking numbers lay on the black suitcases.

"I ordered these guns from an online site and met with another private seller a week ago. He introduced me to another private seller who had a bigger collection. We hit it off at 15 grand, but because I needed money, I had to sell it. For you, just 12 tops, and I'll part with them."

The gun owner quickly asked. "Cash and carry?"

"You got a deal man."

Lu Nanzhi didn't stay long. She also visited the other shops and did the same routine, and after getting enough information, she pushed through her plans.

Though nerve-wracking, she was able to amass handguns like 50 revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, 27 single-barrel and 34 double-barreled shotguns, 75 AK semi-automatic rifles, 25 sniper rifles for longer rangers, and the most valuable haul was the fairly new machine guns that possess high penetrative power. But there were only 2 of them.

She purposefully picked the model types that were popular in her country because scavenging bullets would be easier.

The times when she held a firearm in her past life can only be counted by one hand.

First was when she looted a corpse. But she wasn't able to use it much because the ammo left was only for good for 8 rounds. But because of it, she escaped death several times.

Second was when she disarmed a robber, it was a shotgun.

Lastly was a run-down rifle; her hand was injured when she tried to fire the shot because the magazine exploded.

Guns are life-saving items and sold in bases for ten kilograms of grains, food, tens of liters of diesel, and alien beasts' spars and so as their bullets.

Eating was already a struggle. Lu Nanzhi couldn't afford them.

Alongside the firearms, she purchased ammunition: 20,000 boxes of 50-in-1 handguns' ammos, 25, 000 boxes of 20-in-1 for semi- and fully automatic rifles, 15, 000 ballistic rounds for the sniper rifles, 5,000 single-slug bullets, and 9, 000 buckshot ammos for the shotguns.

It was her least favorite because of the recoil and the longer reloading time, but their stopping power is much superior to the pistol and rifle, and they can be loaded with different shells.

Moving on, she also stockpiled 50, 000 rounds of machine guns, detachable suppressors, and 50 extra magazines for the handguns and rifles.

The total amount she spent for the firearms and ammunition was 261 million yuan.

Lu Nanzhi wanted to purchase more quantities and types, but the private sellers own limited arsenals, and none among them sells explosives like grenades.

Alternatively, she can only think of Molotov.

It's less destructive than a grenade but still has deterrence force against Tier 1 to Tier 2 alien beasts.

To make a good Molotov, one needed at least 180 proof liquors.

But since the sun was going down, Nanzhi retired for the night after buying water suction equipment for a water theft operation later.

She first parked her cargo truck. The parking area was rather full today. She drove the car until she found a spot in between three ten-wheelers closed truck, loading sacks of cement.

A five-minute walk from here were a supermarket and a small hotel, where she's intending to stay for the night.

The parking area was bustling with truck divers chatting with each other's routes and the upcoming storm next week.

Nanzhi could hear them as she strolled.

During that short distraction, her right shoulder bumped into something. The force made her almost stumble back.

"Argh!"

Nanzhi shifted her line of sight to the angry man glaring at her.

His facial features of eastern descent, especially the scar that looks like a bolt of thunder on his lower lips, brought a sense of familiarity to her.

Lu Ren looked at the person covered conservatively from head to toe, and when Lu Nanzhi wasn't responding, he thought she was deaf or mute and cursed under his breath, "This nitwit! Look at the road!"

"Damn! So unlucky!" Rubbing his shoulder in a foul mood, the man left and entered one of the blue ten-wheeler trucks.

Nanzhi saw something slipped from the man's pocket.

She picked it up and found out it was an ID.

Her eyes instantly changed when it fell on the name on the card—Lu Ren.

No wonder he's familiar. The temperature in her eyes chilled.

It's actually one of Lu Chenyu's goons and one of those who threatened her to sign the contract. He was the one who pressed the gun on her head, almost pulling the trigger.

During that time, Nanzhi thought she was going to die. No matter how she pleaded, begged, and cried, they did not let her off. That event traumatized her for life. She could still remember it like it was only yesterday.

Gazing in the direction of the ten-wheel trucks, Lu Nanzhi smiled coldly.

A few minutes later, a small cargo truck drove out of the parking lot and entered the forest area.

Lu Nanzhi emerged dressed in all black, slowly walking towards the parking lot.
