Just few minutes before Xavier was about to be killed, Henry had been watching from the sideline, anticipating the results of the battle while also planning his escape just incase Xavier failed
But when Xavier was bested and pinned down, he didn't plan anymore and immediately started moving away from the area, leaving Xavier to his fate
"Well, he brought this upon himself, no need to interfere," Henry thought as he prepared to use dash and leave the building undetected
But before he could leave, the system suddenly appeared with a message
*Random Quest available
[Your ally has been defeated, return the favour on his behalf; Eliminate the enemies(0/5)]
*Reward: One giftbox
"Huh?" Henry paused seeing the task
"Well he's not really my ally but, why would i say no to a free reward, i also need to test my new skills anyways," he muttered, a wide grin growing on his face
"Hey Miley! are all the security cameras inactive?" Henry asked, about to proceed with caution
[Yeah, the disruptor took them down] Miley replied
"Alright then let's have some fun," he said with a wicked smile, one that Miley had never seen him had before
Xavier was just about to be striked down when Henry suddenly called out to the leader, telling him to free his 'ally'. Which then led to the current situation.
****
Every single person in the museum was shocked and seeing Henry's grin just increased their fear meter, sending chills down their spine.
But the rest of the group recovered quickly and another one, a man with long hair who also wielded a sword started running towards Henry
Henry activated his dash, sprinting towards the man with speed. The two of them clashed, their swords ringing out as they exchanged blows. But he was no match for Henry who was a Swordmaster.
"Alright, playtime's over," Henry muttered and his time perception was activated, making the man look slower, he wasted no time and went for the kill.
His sword sliced through the air, striking horizontally as it bit deep into his opponent's waist. The man's eyes widened in shock as he let out a soft painful gasp, his body had been severed in two. His two halfs fell to the ground, dead.
Sweat began to appear on the leader's forehead "This kid... how did we not know about him," he thought
The third man charged forward with an axe, his sleek chestpiece flashing in the light, then both his hands and the axe became coated in fire. While at the same time the fourth agent who was the only woman also moved forward, creating a spear made of ice as she approached Henry.
Henry sighed "Haven't you all learnt not to charge towards me?" he muttered with a smirk, remaining on a spot
He activated his 'eye of horus' skill, granting him precision and clarity. He threw his sword, its blade flying straight and fast at it's target.
The man with the axe saw as the sword approached him, but was too slow... or rather, the sword was too fast for him to react. It struck him in the neck. his eyes went wide as he tried to hold his bleeding throat, gasping for air and gagging on his own blood, before slowly falling to the ground, his life slipping away.
Whereas the woman had reached Henry, she leapt into the air, her spear flashing down towards Henry's head. He smiled, his time perception kicking in as he withdrew his energy pistol from the storage ring.
With the cooldown already over, Henry reactivated his dash skill, leaving the area in an instant, as she landed with a thud. She turned to face him, her eyes narrowing as she realized she had missed, or rather he was gone. Her spear had pierced the ground
But Henry was already behind her, his gun pressed against the back of her head. "You shouldn't have come here," he whispered, his voice cold and deadly.
He pulled the trigger and blew her brains out with a single shot, her body crumpling to the ground.
He immediately dashed to the already dead axe man and withdrew his sword from his neck, then swiping it gently on the man's body, cleaning the sword with the his clothes.
"Triple... No, quadruple kill," Henry said with a with a devilish grin
The leader was now completely terrified, but he refused to be defeated by a kid, placing his trust in his abilities
"You think you can defeat me, then today would be the day you die!" he yelled as energy began to build up in his hands
Henry smiled, his eyes glinting with anticipation. "I don't just think I can defeat you, i know i will," he replied, his expression turning more dark
He noticed the leader's hands and frowned "That was the same attack that put Xavier in a sorry state, i don't know what that energy is, but I'm not going to just stand here and wait for it to hit me,".
"Time to check out the great hundred slash skill, Henry said with excitement and took an attack stance
He focused his stamina, calling upon the skill he had gained just the day before. "Instantaneous Heart," he whispered, his sword flashing in the light.
The leader was about projecting his energy blast towards Henry, when time seemed to suddenly pause around him, his eyes darted along where Henry was, but he was no longer there
He was completely terrified, wondering and anticipating where Henry might show up, but his body also seemed to be stiffed and numb.
All of a sudden, he felt a sharp pain in his gut, his eyes glanced down his stomach only to see a large cut, but before he could react, multiple cuts followed, appearing all over his body; arms, legs, neck and even his face.
But he couldn't move, or see the assulter, the cuts just kept appearing all over his body and he kept feeling the pain, but he couldn't die, he begged for it but he just couldn't.
Suddenly the cuts stopped and everything returned to normal, everything except the leader.
His eyes widened as he stumbled backward, his body shaken by the equivalent of a hundred strikes. He crumpled to the ground, and finally died after what seemed to be an eternity of suffering, his disfigured face outlined that of both horror and relief
Xavier who had been watching in agape since the beginning of the fight, was even more stunned at Henry's finishi... final attack. He had only witnessed Henry deliver a strike to the leader's stomach but yet he's body was decorated with multiple cuts.
Henry stood tall, his sword still humming with energy. He had taken down the enemies one by one, with precision and skill.
"And that, is what I call 'Fatality'." Henry voiced out, in a deep voice emulating that of his favorite game in his past life
Xavier stumbled to his feet, his eyes locked on Henry with multiple expressions; gratitude, disbelief, fear and caution.
"How... did you... do all this?" he asked slowly
Henry raised an eyebrow before switching into a smile "Ohh... i used a strengthening serum, i ordered yesterday. Good thing i did, right?" he asked with an innocent expression
Xavier was shocked "How can he be so calm, he had just killed 5 people mercilessly, and yet smiles like it's a normal thing. Were we wrong about him? Has he recovered his memories? Is he truly a mutant? Multiple thoughts were running through Xavier's mind
"But you were so fas....
"Hey!" Henry interrupted Xavier
"You need some time to rest, we should get out of here and besides you never thanked me for saving your life," he cut Xavier off, stating ideas of his own
Xavier nodded and forced a smile "Of course, thanks for saving me kid. I owe you my life," he said with gratitude
"Better to just play along, i have to remain cautious of him for now, thankfully he isn't planning on attacking me, i doubt I can take him right now." he muttered to himself
"Anytime old man, now let's get out of here before...
Henry was suddenly interrupted by a loud mechanically advanced voice
-Villains, we have you surrounded!
The voice declared loudly, and just immediately, a group of people entered the museum
They were heavily armed in black bulky techo-armor that covered their entire body including their face. A gold T emblem visible on the suit's chestpiece. They were T.R.I.A.D agents.
"Sigh... They show up," Henry finished his sentence with a frown
"Great! Now they arrive," Xavier stated also showing his displeasure
The agents were all stunned by the pool of blood that filled the area, the gruesome sight of the Dark Dawn agents bodies that were spread across the lobby; headless, dissected, brains blown out, and gashed beyond recognition
One of the men in the armor noticed Xavier and Henry and approached them while the rest spread out to search the museum
"Which one of you did this?" he asked, his voice loud and deep, as being influenced his armor
Henry frowned "This people didn't even know what went down and yet they're already asking for the culprit, putting the blame on us," he muttered to himself
There was no way he was going to let them take him, not again. He quickly began to anticipate an opportunity to strike, already planning how he would take down the agents
But then, Xavier spoke up
"It was me, i killed them. They broke into the museum and tried to steal something, so i stopped them," he said
Henry was surprised, he hadn't expected the old man to take the blame for him, he was a little bit touched. Just a little, but not completely
"Well old man, it's your funeral," he thought
"Hmm, we're gonna have to confirm what you just said, but you'll have to give a more detailed report about everything." the agent replied, and was about to say more when another agent suddenly entered the lobby and called out to him
"Sir, all the security cameras are down, but the footage from before they were taken down is still intact," he stated with respect for the other agent, he was a junior
"Alright good, then we can confirm your words," the first agent said
"And sir, all the items in the museum are accounted for, except one in the mythological section," the junior agent added
Henry became curious, he wondered what could have been taken from that section
"And what might that be?" the agent asked
"Triton's conchshell," the junior replied, leaving everyone present in the lobby dumbfounded. Why would anyone want to steal a stupid shell.
