A couple of weeks had passed since the orientation games, and now Jun-ho stood outside the entrance of the small but prestigious university. Taking a deep breath, he prepared himself for the day ahead. With an acceptance rate below 5%, the atmosphere buzzed with anticipation as 1,560 students gathered for their first official meeting in the grand hall.
Once inside, Jun-ho scanned the room, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. Each student was assigned to their faculty and leader, and he was placed in the Faculty of Law, specifically focusing on Criminal Justice, alongside 30 other eager students.
As the faculties were split for team activities, he kept an eye on the list of pairings. The Faculty of Engineering would team up with Business/Management, while Science joined Arts and Humanities. His heart raced as he searched for his faculty, running his finger down the list.
"Found it!" he exclaimed, only to double-check. "Wait... what? Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Law?"
Panic surged through him. The realization felt like a punch to the gut. Why is this happening? He wanted to scream in frustration, feeling the urge to punch the air in anger.
Just as he grappled with the news, he looked up and, to his dismay, found himself face-to-face with Min-jun. The two locked eyes, the tension palpable. Jun-ho's stomach churned at the thought of sharing this experience with his lifelong rival.
"What are the odds?" Min-jun said with a smirk, his casual demeanor only adding to Jun-ho's irritation.
"Unbelievable," Jun-ho muttered, fighting to keep his composure. This was going to be an even bigger challenge than he had anticipated.
