"Seriously... Faculty of Medicine? What are you studying, dentistry or something?" Jun-ho couldn't help but tease, raising an eyebrow at Min-jun.
Min-jun nodded, a grin spreading across his face. "You got that right. And you? You're studying law, I see."
"Do we even have a choice?" Jun-ho shot back, and they both chuckled, a brief moment of camaraderie passing between them before the weight of their rivalry settled back in.
"Well, all the best," Jun-ho said, adopting an overly casual attitude as he turned away.
Min-jun, taken aback by the sudden shift in Jun-ho's tone, scoffed. "Be careful not to drop out midway." With that, he smirked and joined a group of girls nearby, who were clearly fangirling over him.
Jun-ho watched, lost in thought, the laughter from the group fading into the background. Just then, a loud whistle pierced the air, snapping him back to reality.
On a stage in front of the grand hall, their leaders stood, ready to introduce themselves.
"Welcome, everyone! I'm Han Seok-jin, the leader for the Faculty of Law," Seok-jin announced confidently, his voice booming through the room. "We're going to have a great time this semester, so let's make the most of it!"
Next to him, Ji-woo stepped forward, her smile warm and inviting. "And I'm Kim Ji-woo, your leader for the Faculty of Medicine! We're excited to kick things off with some fun activities to help you all get to know each other."
With that, they began distributing name tags on lanyards, marking the official start of the orientation games.
The first game was Icebreaker Bingo, where students eagerly mingled, discovering fun facts about one another. Jun-ho watched as everyone laughed and shared, feeling a twinge of envy at the ease with which they connected.
Next was Two Truths and a Lie. Jun-ho confidently shared his claim of meeting a celebrity, raising eyebrows around him, while Min-jun entertained everyone with his wild stories, drawing laughter from the crowd.
The Team Scavenger Hunt had them racing around campus, adrenaline pumping as they scrambled to complete their tasks.
During Pictionary, Jun-ho surprised everyone with his impressive drawing of "study group," while Min-jun struggled hilariously with "dorm life," prompting fits of laughter from their peers.
Finally, they tackled the Human Knot, a chaotic tangle of limbs and laughter. As they worked together to untangle, the initial tension between Jun-ho and Min-jun began to dissolve, replaced by a sense of shared purpose.
By the end of the night, the bonds of friendship had deepened, setting a promising tone for their university journey. Jun-ho realized that perhaps this year wouldn't be so bad after all, even if it meant sharing the experience with Min-jun.
