Chapter 18 - Chapter 19- Investigate the queen

Thorn removed his glasses, rubbing between his brows, and a tired smile left his lips. 'who would have thought a fae prince would be reduced to work.' This thought floated in his mind as he got up, pushing his hair back, his earring gleaming under the dim glow of the crystal lights of the study.

''Sir thorn, let me show you the way.'' The maid said, her words a bit shaky- his handsome, delicate movements took her off guard, and she barely kept her tone steady. 'Whoa, what beautiful fae, maybe that's why the Queen employed him. Who won't like to look as such beauty while working.' She thought as she walked forward.

Thorn followed her, his eyes taking in the castle designs and layout since he would be staying here for a long period or leaving when he grew bored.

They stopped in front of a door, and the maid pushed it open, and he saw a dining room; as he took his seat, the meal was brought in.

They placed his food and left him in the room all to himself. Seeing no one was around, his aura of delicate beauty shifted, turning cold.

He twirled his fingers, and red light floated from his hands and covered the room in a cloaking spell; some of the lights touched his earring, making the hidden spell on it light up.

''Your Highness.'' A voice sounded out from the earring.

''Investigate the queen. I want everything on the royal family.'' Thorn ordered; his words were heard by the person on the other end.

''Yes, Your Highness.'' The other person responded, his tone filled with respect and fear for the prince.

''Oh~ while I'm here, don't contact me for unnecessary things. I'll be staying here for a while.'' Thorn left those words; he waved his fingers and the earring dimmed and stopped transmitting words.

Thorn's earring had a communication spell drawn into it, to be able to connect anywhere in the world with the person holding the same spell symbol on his or her person.

Thorn calmly opened his meal, his eyes flashing with shrewd calculations as he waited on the investigation report.

As he ate his meals, the unfortunate Rose was waiting anxiously for her niece. Her grip tightened on the ring. Her heart ached, as though it were being peeled off by a knife.

She was grateful that her business spread across the kingdom, not knowing that it would soon change owners in the future.

A maid served her tea, but she didn't take a sip; the last time she drank a sip of tea, she had to pay such a huge amount of money. Infact everything In this castle traumatizes her, and she can't help but want to leave here sooner.

Her body trembled slightly from fear, that one would wonder what confidence she had to rule a kingdom.

She turned when she heard the sound of footsteps; she composed herself but frowned when she saw the butler and not the queen coming.

''Your Highness, the queen said you should wait for her; she would be with you in time.'' He said politely, with no sign of disrespect if you ignored his schadenfreude-filled gaze. ''Do have tea while you wait.'' he left those words and bowed, ''Excuse me.''

Like that Rose watched him stride away before she could get over the cursed word 'wait.' Her eyes went to the tea and her scalp tingled with fear.

She could only place her hope in her daughter to claim the throne, then she would torture this b*itch. She thought as she waited for the queen.

The Queen had finished with her meal and went to the pool to soak, completely forgetting she asked someone to wait.

Pulling off her clothes, her feet dipped into the warm pool, and a sigh left her lips as she walked in deeper.

She floated as the water massaged into her bones. ''Your majesty, should I call in the massage woman?'' Nalia suggested, feeling the queen might be tired having sat almost the whole day.

Elora's brows raised in interest at her words, 'I didn't know there was a masseuse?' she turned to Nalia, ''Yes, call her in.'' she responded, her mind filled with curiosity.

''Yes, your Majesty.'' Nalia bowed and brought out a paper from her dimension bag, casting a spell on it changed into a paper bird and flew out of the room.

The paper flapped and went to the servant quarters, flying into a room where essential bottles lined the walls, and a tall woman stood in the middle messing around with different oils.

Suddenly, he saw a paper floating in front of him, ''Queen summons.'' It scared him so much, 'is his secret as a man out. But he hid it so well.' He panicked, checking the mirror if his disguise was in order before remembering his profession as a massaging lady.

His green eyes lit up with hope as he calmed slightly, hoping that was the case.

He quickly took out some essential oils and other things, before following the paper to the location of where the queen was.

Arriving, he saw the guards standing guard at the entrance; he stopped while one of them announced his arrival. ''Your Highness, she's here,'' Nalia called out.

''Come in.'' Elora's soft words came from inside and they made way for him to pass.

He walked into the pool; his eyes stopped on the silver hair floating in the pool. ''Your majesty, you sent for me.'' He said respectfully towards the water.

''I need a massage, satisfy me, and I will reward you.'' Elora, answered calmly as she got out of the bath naked. The man was stunned and quickly looked away.

''y-yes your M-Majesty.'' He stammered out a reply. His face was red as he quickly laid the towel on the dry ground. ''Your majesty please.''

Elora briefly glanced at the blushing woman and looked away; she lay down, hoping for a satisfying massage.

Casey arranged his oils, trying not to think too much of her nakedness, setting everything. ''Pardon me, Your Majesty.'' He said respectfully as he heated the oils, to be a bit warm.

Dripping it on her skin, his hands massaged her back slowly coated with oil, ''Mm.'' a moan left her lips as she closed her eyes, trying to enjoy it fully. His hands trailed against her back, pressing it firmly but gently.

Casey had forgotten about his former shyness and focused on his work. A flora scent drifted into the air as his thumbs glided, trailing down her spine.
