Studies on the island were going very well. The young people had progressed much more than would be normal at Hogwarts. Andromeda turned out to be a competent potions master, along with her daughter.
The teachers were happy with the children's learning.
Outside the place, things were not so calm.
Andromeda had had several unpleasant encounters with Ministry supporters and Voldemort's followers.
Dolores Umbridge did not forgive her for taking away her Black vote, although shortly after she had obtained another seat in the ministry. That of the Shebill family, of which she claimed to be a distant descendant.
More than once in the hallway the toad woman tried to provoke her by alluding to her predilection for dark creatures.
She even managed to have her daughter Nymphadora dismissed from the Auror Corps. Although she had to endure a tremendous argument with Amelia Bones.
Nymphadora Tonks became the permanent potions teacher at the school for magical apprentices, Sirius Black. The girl was sad for a couple of days. Until Enma and Dan started pestering her with ideas and experiments. In one week the young woman was more worried about the two adults and their crazy ideas than about all the young people together or the loss of her previous job.
Lucius took advantage of the apparent separation within Dumbledore's ranks to try to further his goals. He thought he could get whatever he wanted with chaos and bribery.
He crashed into the immovable Andromeda Tonks.
He knew because his wife said that she was the only one of the Black sisters that no man could dominate. The blonde quickly discovered that the woman was the perfect match between his wife and Bellatrix Lestrange. With a very dangerous touch of cunning. He regretted that the woman was not on his side since she would be a very valuable collaborator.
In addition to that, by declaring as a proxy that her lord was neutral, she managed to bring around her several neutral families interested in her ideas, or who until then did not support the two main factions.
Dumbledore wasn't much better. He saw from afar the woman operating in the Wizengamot as if she had been born for this. He had tried on two more occasions to get the woman to put him in contact with the boy. But he had to give up when she openly and with the entire room listening to her read a letter from her master assuring him that he did not want to have anything to do with him or the purist faction.
Without the Potter votes, he lost some of his influence.
Additionally, the woman had requested that the proxy seats be reviewed since there appeared to be, as she suggested, some lack of communication between the seat owner and their representative.
He had to return two more seats and negotiate with another family to be allowed to continue voting on their behalf. Three others had no objections to him being their representative.
By the end of the year at Hogwarts, his plans had suffered several major setbacks. And in the government, many of his law proposals were discarded. His only consolation was that the ones proposed by Lucius Malfoy ended the same way much more quickly.
He had to admit that his only comfort was seeing the frustration on Dolores Umbridge's face every time she tried to get a law passed to control any creature she saw as dark. Mostly in reference to Werewolves and Centaurs.
He still remembered the overwhelming defeat that the undersecretary suffered when she tried to get a law passed that prevented a werewolf from carrying out any type of study or learning. And how Andromeda embarrassed her in front of the entire Wizengamot by giving facts and reasons why her idea was stupid. Cornelius had to restrain his undersecretary when she tried to draw her wand to curse the proud Mrs. Tonks.
On top of all this, he realized something else. It seems that without Harry Potter at Hogwarts, Tom had stopped showing signs of life. This year nothing had happened in the castle, apart from several strong fights between Slytherin and Gryffindor. Mostly caused by Draco Malfoy and Ron Weasley.
He began to think that he needed the boy in the castle. Although he was no longer necessary as he intended, he was still very useful as the lord of two ancient families and as bait for Tom. The problem was that he was completely sure that Minerva and the rest would never let the boy return to the castle.
Maybe if... no, the Granger girl should be dead by now. He had to remember to find out about her.
At no time did the idea cross his mind that his plans put the rest of the students in danger.
Cornelius Fudge, was not happy. He had made many promises counting on the Potter boy's gold and had barely been able to keep them, using part of his hidden funds and having to apologize to most of them.
On top of that, his idea to resurrect the Triwizard Tournament fell through before the summer because of the hateful Andromeda Tonks. She argued that safety was not guaranteed and much more preparation was needed before suggesting the idea again.
Being the organizers of the Quidditch championship final added weight to their argument for not holding the canceled Triwizard tournament. Many supported it, seeing that it would be an excessive waste of money and resources.
He had anticipated making a lot of profits from this tournament. He would have to make sure that this time he would succeed. The main thing was to get Dolores to stay still and not bother the hateful Black woman anymore.
Tom Riddle, better known as Lord Voldemort, was not happy either.
He had found a way to resurrect himself but he needed the blood of one of his enemies. For him, there were only two that met the requirements and he preferred it to be the boy since it would give him the protection that his mother had given him. The old man would also give him power but... how to get his blood.
On top of that, the boy seemed to have vanished.
When one of his followers who he believed to be imprisoned came up with the idea of the Triwizard tournament, he thought he had found a way to achieve his goals.
But the Wizengamot had dismissed the idea.
He also found out that the Potter brat was a werewolf. He could no longer use his blood, he would run the risk of getting infected and it was not convenient for his followers.
He had to get the blood of someone powerful, the champion of the tournament would have been someone interesting. If they weren't very powerful, he could use them to lure the old man and get his blood. He could afford another year to prepare his plans.
He hoped that stupid Funge would get the necessary support this time. He was tired of Pettigrew's pitiful moans. He could only count on him and Barty Crouch junior. And young Crouch was needed to bring him information.
{SCENE BREAK}
Summer came to an end. Life on the island was going great. Andromeda brought two brothers who had been bitten by the feared Fenrir Greyback.
Furthermore, a girl who rejected the first invitation sent an owl asking for help, since her pack had been attacked by Greyback and his people, killing almost everyone.
Not wanting to take any chances, with dinner, they gave each child a small dose of potion that would make them more open and trusting. Just to make sure they weren't there for other purposes.
Nobody liked doing that. But what was at stake on the island was too important not to have to take some precautions.
The brothers had been abandoned by their parents and the young girl sent the owl on the advice of her mother.
The children were informed of the potion afterwards. They wanted to be completely honest with them. The younger ones didn't understand it well but they agreed.
The eldest felt bad, but after a little talk from the Grangers, she understood their reasons. Especially because of the betrayal of one of their own before the attack that destroyed their pack.
They waited for the first full moon so that the three new ones could be known and see their acceptance of the place. As soon as the moon rose and the transformation began, Harry and Hermione transformed and bit the three of them.
The brothers hugged each other happily and the young lycanthrope spent the entire night running through the forest happy to leave the painful transformations behind.
In this way, three new children were integrated into the strange family.
It was the first time Tonks saw the Lupinids. She couldn't speak for more than an hour. Still staring wide-eyed at Harry and Hermione.
When she reacted, she could only reproach the couple.
" You could have told me! " She screamed furiously. " I have spent the last few months preparing wolfsbane potion for everyone! And now you're telling me that you didn't need it?!"
" We sent it to St. Mungo's, for registered werewolves! " Hermione responded. " By the way, they are very grateful! " The young woman looked at her. " We sent it in your name! " She couldn't say anything else. Just point at the couple before yelling. Among everyone's laughter, she went to her room.
The next morning was spent asking a thousand questions to the couple and the adults.
In the end, Minerva had to cast a spell on her to make her shut up.
The Grim and her kits began to leave the shed. The babies were very active and the mother almost always had to catch them so that they did not get close to the children.
Shadow and Night helped by putting themselves in the path of the little ones so that they would run to their mother when they saw them.
{SCENE BREAK}
After Harry's birthday, Enma and Tonks approached the boy.
"Harry, we want to talk to both of you," said Enma. "We have been thinking about doing a couple of tests with your... ability." The couple looked at them seriously.
"We won't let students be tested!" Harry said.
" Mom, I don't believe that you...!"
" That's not it! " Her mother shut her up, " We thought," She said looking at Tonks " That... since it seems to be a cure for lycanthropy..."
"We wanted to check its effects on uninfected people!" Tonks finished quickly.
" You are crazy! " Minerva said from the door.
"Hello Minerva," Tonks said scared.
" Not hello! " The Scottish woman silenced her. " As soon as I tell your mother, you're going to regret having that idea."
" We wanted to try it on ourselves! " Enma said, leaving everyone silent.
" Do you want us to bite you?! " Hermione asked without believing it.
" What I said, you crazy people! " Minerva continued. " You are crazy! " The rest of the adults entered the room.
"What's wrong?" Pomona asked.
" These two... crazy people! " The old woman responded, pointing at the two women. " They want them to bite them!"
" Why? " Filius asked.
" I want to understand my daughter better! " Enma responded. " Also... I don't know how to explain it but for a while now I've felt something strange and I don't know what it is."
"It will be the flu," her husband responded. Seeing how she looked at him, he corrected himself. " I didn't say anything."
" I want to get rid of my clumsiness! " Tonks responded embarrassed. " Besides, I always wanted to be an Animagus!"
"A very disinterested reason," Minerva said ironically. "With Enma, I can even understand it!"
" It's more than that! " The young ex-auror added. " I love this place and… " She looked at Enma. " I admit that when the two transform on the full moon, something inside me wants to go out with them. I don't know how to explain it! " She looked at the Scottish woman upset. " It's like they were calling me!"
" We can't let them bite you. " Filius said. " You are not infected, we don't know what could happen."
" That's why we want you to do it! " Enma responded. " It's better to know now than by accident later. " She took out some papers. " We have done tests in controlled situations. " She said, giving the scrolls to Minerva. " We know that the curse does not affect animals. So we tested with blood samples and in the tests the blood changes. Why? We don't know but it does."
" We have assumed that just like the original curse," Tonks continued " it would affect people without magic in the same way."
"But if it goes wrong...!" Hermione didn't dare to continue.
" It won't. " Her mother said, kneeling next to her and caressing her face. " My little girl... you know I would give anything for you. " She smiled. " This will only bring us closer."
"Are you sure?" the young woman asked, shedding a couple of tears. Her mother nodded.
Before anyone could say anything, the brunette transformed and gave her mother a small bite on the arm.
" NO! " Dan shouted. " Enma, why?! " His wife looked at him smiling.
" It's what I have to do... " She didn't finish. Suddenly she began to feel great pain. " Damn, it hurts!"
"Mom!" said the human girl again, approaching.
"Nothing's wrong," the woman responded. "We assumed something like this would happen. The same thing happened to you, remember? " Her daughter nodded between tears. The Granger patriarch knelt next to his wife and hugged her. " Dan."
"You're crazy," he told her. "But I will always support you."
Suddenly the woman tensed and little by little transformed into an adult version of her daughter Lupinida, letting out a canine gasp.
" Morgana and Circe! " Tonks said. " It works! " She rolled up the sleeve of her tunic. " You're already taking too long! " She said to Harry, offering him her arm. " But make sure it doesn't leave too much of a mark."
A surprised Harry Potter transformed and took a small bite with just his front fangs. The others were so surprised by Enma that they didn't even notice until it was done.
" Oh! " Tonks grabbed her arm. " Yes, it hurts a little. " She smiled. " But less than a fall. " Having said this, she tensed with a grimace of pain. " Damn, it's... much worse!"
The young woman transformed and left everyone speechless. His Lupinid fur began to change color. It went from its basic dark to a gray and then to blue. It ended up, much to everyone's chagrin, with a well-known bubblegum pink color. Everyone could see that she enjoyed it.
"Her metamorphic ability has affected her Lupinid form! " Pomona said interested.
"And it seems that there are no problems." Filius added, watching as Enma transformed into a large wolf that rubbed against Dan." Even Enma can transform into an animagus!"
"Incredible!" said Minerva. "Simply incredible! It's as if the transformation had given her... a magical core! " Everyone looked at her.
"We have to check it later," Filius said.
"That's great!" Tonks said, returning to her human form.
" Nothing great! " Minerva said angrily. " How do we explain to your mother what you have done, and that you won't be able to leave the island for several years?!"
" What?! " the young woman asked, surprised.
" No one outside this place should know about your powers! " She responded furiously. " The children can be controlled but you! " She pointed out. " We can't run the risk that you go to the alley and accidentally end up keeping quiet and, without realizing it, you transform! " The young woman thought about it and smiled nervously.
"Yes, I think my mother won't like it," she said nervously, knowing the anger she would have to face.
Minerva looked at her with clenched hands before leaving the room.
At the back of the castle, a grim surrounded by her kits sensed something new in the air. She came out of her strange cave followed by her babies.
This time she did not stop near the castle as she always did.
This time something made her continue. Behind her puppies followed her.
The Grim went towards the front door. At that moment young Lavinia came out. She got the shock of her life when she opened the door and saw the face of the powerful and fearsome creature.
"Merlin...!" She didn't dare to move.
With a short growl, the Grim passed by her, pushing her lightly and throwing her to the ground. The young woman followed her with her eyes without realizing that one of the puppies had been staring at her.
The Grim continued where her destiny took her. As she turned a corner she found herself face to face with one of the older females who, with a moan, stood against the wall. She continued on her way.
Minerva couldn't react when she found the colossal creature in front of her. When she took out her wand he noticed that the Grim was moving without pause towards the room she had left. She decided to follow her to see what was happening.
Inside the room, Shadow and Night tensed as they recognized the scent of the female Grim's. His human companions stood up.
"What's wrong?" Pomona asked.
"It's the Grim," said Harry. "She's in the castle."
Before the adults could react, the magnificent creature entered through the door. Filius was the first to react, pointing his wand.
" NO! " said Harry. " Wait!"
The Grim looked at everyone before focusing on the female that had always caught her attention, the one that smelled similar to the one that cured her.
But this time there was something more. A strange feeling.
Growling she approached the female. From the ground, Enma also began to feel something strange. She carefully moved her husband away.
" Enma no! " he protested.
"Let me," she said. "I have to do it."
As she spoke she raised her hand and brought it towards the female Grim. The animal did not stop growling in a threatening manner.
Pomona went to cast a spell and was stopped by Filius.
" No! It's the same as the last time." answered the little professor." Wait."
To everyone's astonishment, the Grim opened her mouth and bit Enma's hand.
From the door, Minerva went to cast a spell. At the same time, Dan reacted to help his wife.
Everyone froze at what happened.
A dark light that everyone had already seen, except Tonks, surrounded the large form of the Female Grim.
" She's your familiar! " Filius said.
" Umbra! " Enma said. " Your name is Umbra! " As she said it, she approached and hugged the animal's head. The being moaned happily at the woman's touch.
Hermione and Harry could see how the Grim's red eyes had changed to be a slightly darker honey color than Hermione's. Exactly the same as Enma's.
" Don't tell me that Grims are attracted to Lupinids?! " Minerva said from the door.
"It's incredible!" said Pomona.
" Where are her babies? " Filius asked, looking everywhere.
Everyone noticed that the little Grims were not with their mother.
"Don't tell me that..." Minerva began.
Just then Lavinia came through the door.
" She has chosen me! " She said happily, holding a Grim baby with some problems. " Bruma has chosen me as her human companion!"
"No Merlin, no!" Minerva lamented from the entrance.
As Minerva feared, all the puppies toured the castle and joined one of the children. So now there were 10 Grims in the castle permanently.
For her part, Enma spent part of the morning running transformed through the forest with her new friend and family member Umbra.
Tonks protested that she didn't have a Grim. The poor thing did not find out until much later that her partner, upon feeling the pull, had become trapped in some trees and needed some time to free herself. Besides, it wasn't the only resemblance to his human counterpart. His sense of direction was pitiful and he looked for Tonks in the wrong direction.
[T/N: HAHAHA!!!]
He wouldn't approach the mansion for a week. And that's because he traveled along the entire coast of the island until he reached the castle.
That same night and after Enma Granger returned from her crazy run through the forest. Dan found out another advantage that his wife obtained in the transformation. An insatiable appetite and passion.
Harry and Hermione were woken up in the middle of the night by a loud knock on the door.
When he opened the door, he got the shock of his life.
Dan Granger holding out his bare arm.
"Bite!" he said nervously. "I need to convert or Enma is going to kill me tonight!"
"Is something wrong with you?" Hermione asked worried.
" Don't, calm down! " He said smiling. " It's more like... I can't handle the animal part of her! Come on, what are you waiting for, transform and bite! " He said to the boy with his arm outstretched.
"Are you sure?" he asked.
" You can't even imagine it! " he responded euphorically.
Harry transformed and looked at the human. Dan nodded. The boy took a small bite.
" Damn, it hurts! " said the male Granger. Shortly after, a brown wolf ran out in the direction of his room.
"Do you think they'll be okay?" Hermione asked. There was a loud howl from the Granger room.
"What is that?! " Harry asked worried.
"Wolves in heat." Tonks' voice was heard from the other side of the hallway. "Merlin, I need a boyfriend!" she said before closing her door.
That night Minerva quickly went to cast a couple of silencing charms on Hermione's parents' room.
While Pomona and Filius had to calm down the younger ones who feared there was an attack.
In the morning the Granger couple were all cuddles and caresses. The other adults looked at them in an annoyed way.
The young people were amused by the stupid things that the adults did.
The three Grim adults tensed. The babies only raised their ears attentively.
" A Grim! " said Harry.
On this occasion, there were five Lupinidae that approached the entrance.
To the surprise of the three former Hogwarts teachers when they saw how Dan Granger transformed.
From the forest, the massive form of an adult male came into light. At once Dan began to go towards him.
" No more, no, please! " Minerva lamented.
As they feared, the Grim ended up as Dan's relative.
Night Owl ended up joining the family. Ironically Umbra didn't want to be near him.
" Where is my partner Grim?! " Tonks shouted from the entrance.
{SCENE BREAK}
Her partner didn't arrive until six days later and she was very tired. She tripped and fell on the Metamorph and bit her by accident.
"Only this could happen to me!" the ex-auror shouted from the ground. "Get off me, Clumsy!"
"Don't mess with her Tonks," Harry said amused. "You both look alike."
" I didn't mess with her, it's her name. Clumsy!" she responded annoyed.
Not even McGonagall could contain her laughter when she heard it.
{SCENE BREAK}
Clumsy was the last Grim to approach the house. The rest of the children even thought about going to the farm to look for their partner.
In the end, they convinced them. It was almost certain that their fellow Grims were still hatchlings and couldn't get away from their mothers. They would have to wait for them to grow up and find their way. Reluctantly they agreed.
With everything that happened, even the three teachers began to consider the possibility of transforming. But until their goals were achieved, the very possibility would have to wait.
They had learned a lot about the Lupinid curse, in addition to what they already knew about their abilities and complete control over the wolf.
Its transmission was the same as the original werewolf curse. It came with intense pain, much more bearable than that caused by the original curse.
As an extra, it granted the ability to become a wolf animagus, even without magic, and made its wearer more sensitive to uniting with a magical being. The affinity with the Grims being canids seemed to be the greatest.
The curse turned the Grangers into more powerful Squibs, almost bordering on the power of a witch or wizard, but unable to cast spells.
This only made the couple more interested in what they could do, that was… potions. It seemed that England's next potions masters would be Lupinidos. The three teachers smiled as they imagined Snape's face if he found out.
Ironically, Enma discovered that they could levitate at low speed and height, on a broom. This left the couple wandering around the island for more than two hours.
On the last day of summer, Andromeda Tonks arrived on the island with worrying news. Cornelius Funge had gathered enough support to organize the Triwizard tournament this year at Hogwarts.
As incredible as it was, he had the support of the dark side and Dumbledore and all his followers.
The tense atmosphere ended when Andromeda saw her daughter playing with a Grim.
" What are you doing with that Grim? " She asked her when she saw her.
"He is... my familiar," the young witch responded.
Andromeda noticed that several young people were playing with puppies of what could only be Grims. She knew of the presence of a female and her cubs thanks to Minerva and the rest of the adults. But this situation was new.
" Are they all your relatives? " She asked nervously. Everyone present nodded. She noticed that Hermione's mother was also standing next to a Grim, much older than the rest, and that Dan Granger absentmindedly threw a large piece of steak into a corner where a large male caught it in the air. " Even the Grangers?! " She asked without believing it. " What the hell is happening on this island?! " She asked herself.
Everyone looked at Harry and Hermione who only thought for a moment before nodding.
They had to tell Andromeda the big secret of Blackrock.
"There's something we haven't told you," Harry began. "And in a way, it has to do with the Grims. From what we have found out..."
"Somehow they are attracted to..." Hermione didn't finish.
" Enough! " The woman said. " I don't know what's going on and I think it's better that I don't know. " She looked at everyone. " The less I know, the less others can find out."
" Mom! " Tonks began. " I swear it's not bad at all. It's great! " She hugged her partner. " Right Clumsy? " Her mother looked at her strangely.
" Why have you given the poor girl...? " Her question was answered when Grim took a step and when moving the chair, a tray hit a teapot, which spilled the bath onto the young woman and Grim. " Don't answer me, no. It's unnecessary," She told her daughter as she walked away, massaging the bridge of her nose. The rest of the children in the room burst into laughter.
Minerva had followed the woman.
" Andromeda! " She stopped her. " I assure you that I tried to dissuade your daughter from..."
" Don't say more! " She shut her up. " What I said in the dining room is the truth. " She sighed. " I admit that I have some theories and I'm afraid to think that they are correct. " She looked at Minerva seriously. " I'm afraid that the Old goat, might try something against me soon. " Minerva didn't like that.
" Explain!"
" He keeps sending me letters to organize a private meeting. " Andromeda emphasized that part so that the Scottish woman understood that it was something that did not make any sense. " He has already tried twice to set me up through another member of the Wizengamot."
"I don't like that," said Minerva. "I have no doubt that that idiot would try to cast a spell on you at the first opportunity."
"I think it's too much of a risk," Andromeda cut her off. "Maybe I'll try some potion." Minerva denied.
"Didn't I tell you what he tried to do to me when I decided to be Harry and Hermione's tutor?" added the Scottish woman. "If it's not for Filius and Pomona who were waiting for me to say goodbye..." she sighed. "He was ready to cast a Spell on me. From how he reacted to a comment about an Obliviate, I have no doubt that that was the spell he was trying to use." Andromeda remained silent, looking at her friend.
" Are you saying that he is capable of those extremes? " the older Tonks asked nervously.
"Seeing how I take care of Harry, I have no doubt that it will be much more." the Scottish woman finished." All for his greater good!" she added at the end with annoying irony.
"He uses that phrase a lot in chamber meetings," said Andromeda. "Do you know what that... greater good is?"
"Only he knows," She replied. "But he won't say anything."
"We think that he believes he is the only one who can dictate what the magical world needs and show us the correct way of thinking," Flitwick said from the door next to Pomona.
" With what happened to Harry and Hermione and what we saw that he tried to do " Pomona continued " sometimes we think that at some point he convinced himself that he is the only one capable of guiding us and deciding for us."
" You are describing a dark lord! " Andromeda finished.
"Maybe," Minerva said. "But who would believe it? The entire wizarding world has grown up under the shadow of the good and powerful Albus Dumbledore. If someone openly opposed him... they would soon be classified as a new dark lord."
"And you already know what they think of the children! " Pomona added. Andromeda nodded in understanding.
" We can only do what we can to prevent his fingers from spreading more than they already are. " Minerva approached her friend. " You are the first line against him and the Death Eaters. " Andromeda remembered something.
"Not anymore!" She said quickly. "That was another matter I wanted to discuss with Harry and the rest. There are four more families in the Wizengamot who are interested in meeting Harry."
"You know he doesn't want to gain more interest, or deal with flatterers," Pomona said.
"I doubt anyone would classify Augusta Longbottom and Amelia Bones as hero sycophants," Andromeda responded, smiling. Filius let out a short whistle.
"Two powerful women," said Minerva. "Who else?"
" Ciro Greengrass and Roger Davies." the witch responded." Also...!" she thought." In Diagon Alley, a blonde girl approached me. Luna… Loven… I don't remember."
"Luna Lovegood?" Filius Flitwich finished. She nodded." She was one of my eagles. Her father is the owner of Quibbler."
" She told me that she hoped Harry and Hermione would be happy with their new condition. " They all looked at each other. " And that she would like to visit the black forest one day. " They all listened to her without believing it. " If she hadn't mentioned the forest, I wouldn't have given it more importance, but..."
"Miss Lovegood has always been somewhat peculiar." Filius added." She has already stood out from the rest of the first years. And in her second year, she was also somewhat… independent."
" But how did She know about the black forest? " Pomona asked. The little professor shrugged, smiling.
" She talks about animals that only she can see. " She responded. " She may have some gift and be able to see further than the rest."
"We have to talk to Harry and let him decide," Andromeda finished.
"Talk about what?" said the boy from the door next to Hermione and the two Grims.
While the young people were preparing for their first classes, Andromeda explained the situation to all the adults and the Potter couple.
Minerva and the rest explained about the four families and Filius talked about the Lovegood girl.
When he finished, Harry and Hermione remained thinking.
"What do you think?" the boy asked.
"It could be very beneficial for everyone," Andromeda said. "We would gain a lot of influence in the Wizengamot and in the future we would get rid of many abusive laws." Harry nodded and looked at Hermione.
"We have been talking and we want to explain to you an idea we have." said the girl.
" It would be very difficult to obtain the status of a protected magical area or something that would give us some independence from the magical government."
" Found your own country? " Dan asked surprised.
" I know it's not possible, but something like that! " Harry responded. " Hermione has told me about cities of non-magical people that are part of our country but that also have a certain autonomy of their own."
" Gibraltar, for example! " said the brunette. " It belongs to Great Britain but has its own governor."
" Would it be possible to get something like that for Blackrock? " The dark-haired man asked. " Found our own city of werewolves for werewolves."
"And maybe other species!" Hermione added. Everyone knew why she said that.
"None of the parties would allow something like that." Andromeda responded." Some out of hatred towards werewolves and another because they would lose much of the influence they have over them."
"Then it's better to continue as we are," Harry said.
"If you think about it, we are already like an independent country." Dan Granger joked." They can't force us to do anything, much less enter the island. Let them do whatever they want outside of Blackrock! " Some nodded when they saw that the man was partly right.
"It seems that in the future we will have to rely on remaining hidden from everyone," Harry said, sighing.
" They already know that we exist. " Andromeda clarified. " But they cannot locate this place. " She smiled. " For all intents and purposes, this island does not exist for the rest of the world. " She crossed her arms. " Why do you think they try to create so many laws against werewolves? Without rights, you would be forced to give everything to the ministry since you would not own anything. Something useless since the family's own magic is what rules this place. " Hermione smiled.
"But those laws would not affect us," said the young brunette, smiling at her husband in a low voice. "We Lupines are not lycanthropes." He nodded when he understood her.
" What's happening? " Andromeda asked.
"Nothing," the green-eyed man responded. "We're just deciding what to do." He looked at all the adults. "I think we should think about meeting those families."
" I can bring them to the island," Andromeda said. " Nymphadora would help me to make sure they don't bring anything dangerous."
"I can't leave the island, Mom," the young woman responded.
"Why?" She asked, annoyed.
"You don't want to know," she said, embarrassed and somewhat sad. "I'm sorry."
"I and Minerva can help you with that task," Flitwick suggested. Andromeda nodded.
"I think the first one you should meet would be Augusta Longbottom," he suggested. "She is a very strict woman but with an impeccable code of conduct and honor."
"How about lunch on Sunday?" Hermione suggested. "She could bring Neville."
"I will make the preparations," Andromeda agreed.
