I stood at the base of the tree, my eyes scanning the horizon for any sign of the pack. Elara was perched in the branches above me, her bow at the ready.
"I've got your back," she called out, her voice steady.
I nodded, my grip on my wooden sword tightening. I knew that the pack could arrive at any moment, and I was ready.
Suddenly, a chorus of snarls and growls echoed through the forest. The pack had arrived.
Six wolves emerged from the trees, their eyes blazing with fury, their jaws snapping with hunger. They formed a semi-circle around me, trapping me in a ring of teeth and claws.
Elara fired an arrow, striking the first wolf in the chest. It yelped in pain, but kept coming. I leapt forward, my sword flashing in the sunlight. I clashed with the second wolf, our blades meeting in a shower of sparks.
The battle was intense, the wolves attacking from all sides. I fought with every ounce of strength I had, my sword slicing through the air. I struck the third wolf, its jaws snapping shut just inches from my face. Elara fired again, her arrow striking the fourth wolf in the shoulder. It stumbled, but the others kept coming.
I gritted my teeth, focusing my mana. I could feel my energy responding, rising to meet the wolves' challenge. I raised my hand, and a burst of flame erupted from my palm, striking the fifth wolf and sending it tumbling to the ground.
As I fought, I could feel my wounds piling up. I was bleeding from several gashes, and my sword arm was trembling with exhaustion. But I refused to give up.
I focused my mana, feeling my energy responding. I raised my hand, and a warm, golden light erupted from my palm, washing over my body. My wounds began to heal, my strength and energy returning.
I leapt forward, my sword flashing in the sunlight. I struck the sixth wolf, its body crashing to the ground.
Just as I thought I had defeated the pack, I saw it. The alpha wolf, its fur as black as coal, its eyes blazing with fury. It had been watching from the shadows, waiting for its moment to strike.
Level 4 : Alpha Wolf
Hp: 120
I raised my hand, and a fireball erupted from my palm, striking the alpha wolf and sending it stumbling back. But it didn't fall. It kept coming, its jaws snapping with fury.
I gritted my teeth, focusing my mana. I could feel my energy responding, rising to meet the alpha wolf's challenge. But I knew I was no match for it. Not yet.
The alpha wolf loomed over me, its jaws open wide. I raised my sword, ready to defend myself. But I knew I was running out of time.
Elara was still perched in the tree above me, her bow drawn and arrow nocked.
"Now's our chance!" I shouted to Elara. "Let's take it down!"
Elara fired her arrow, striking the alpha wolf in the shoulder. It yelped in pain, but barely flinched. I took advantage of the distraction, striking the wolf with my wooden sword. The wood cracked and splintered as it made contact with the wolf's fur, but it didn't break.
The alpha wolf retaliated, its jaws snapping shut just inches from my face. I dodged to the side, avoiding its deadly bite. Elara fired another arrow, striking the wolf in the chest. But it kept coming, its fury and strength seemingly endless.
I leapt forward, my wooden sword flashing in the sunlight. I struck the wolf again and again, the wood cracking and splintering with each blow. Elara fired arrow after arrow, each one striking true, but the wolf just wouldn't go down.
I was starting to tire, my arm aching from the constant battle. Elara was running out of arrows, and I knew we couldn't keep this up for much longer. The alpha wolf was too powerful, too relentless.
Just when I thought we were about to be overwhelmed, Elara said, "I've got an idea."
She leapt from the tree, her agility and quick reflexes allowing her to dodge the wolf's snapping jaws. She landed behind the wolf, her dagger flashing in the sunlight. I took advantage of the distraction, striking the wolf with all my might. But as I landed, my wooden sword shattered into a hundred pieces, the force of the blow too much for it to handle.
I stood panting, my hand stinging from the impact. But I didn't have time to worry about my sword. Elara was striking the wolf's exposed neck, aiming for the vulnerable spot just behind its ear.
The alpha wolf let out a deafening roar, its body stumbling forward, its eyes fixed on me with a fierce determination. Elara's dagger had weakened it, but it was far from defeated.
Hp: 30
The alpha wolf lunged at me, its jaws open wide. I raised my fist, ready to defend myself. As the wolf attacked, I was consumed by a surge of desperation and anger, my fear and frustration boiling over.
I threw a powerful punch, aiming for its nose. But the wolf was too quick, and it bit down on my arm, its teeth sinking deep into my flesh.
I screamed in pain and rage, my vision blurring with fury. Elara, sensing my distress, fired two swift arrows at the wolf. One arrow struck true, piercing the wolf's left eye and causing it to flinch in pain. The second arrow missed, flying harmlessly into the trees behind us.
But I didn't pull my arm back. I looked at its red blood eyes, our eyes staring at each other.
I used my trapped arm to my advantage. With a surge of adrenaline, I pushed my arm further down the wolf's stomach, my hand sinking deeper into its abdomen.
The wolf's jaws tightened around my arm, but I didn't care. I was beyond pain.
I grabbed its eternal organs, and with a brutal twist, my hand tearing through the wolf's internal organs and pulling them out with me.
HP: 20.... 17.... 16
Tearing its insides apart like a rag doll, I pulled out a handful of guts, entrails spilling out with a sickening squelch.
The wolf let out a blood-curdling scream as I simultaneously punched it with my another arm, my fist connecting with its face again and again. The wolf's scream was a deafening shriek as I punched its face repeatedly.
The wolf's body convulsed in agony, its limbs thrashing about wildly as it let out a deafening howl. I stood over it, my chest heaving with exhaustion, my hand still clutching the wolf's internal organs.
HP : 5.. 4. 3 .. 0
I felt a wave of nausea wash over me, but I pushed it aside, my anger and adrenaline still coursing through my veins.
Elara approached me, her eyes wide with shock and awe. "You..... is it dead,"? she stammered.
My chest still heaving with exhaustion. I looked down at the wolf's lifeless body, feeling a sense of grim satisfaction. We had defeated the alpha wolf.
But for now, I just stood there, my hand still trembling with adrenaline, my heart still racing from the battle.
