Chapter 9 - AFTERMATH

I took a deep breath, still trying to process the intensity of the battle. I looked at the reward options and nodded to myself.

'Yes, I'll accept the reward.'

I felt a surge of excitement as the reward was added to my pouch. I turned to Elara, who was watching me with a curious expression.

"Hey, Elara. We did it," I said, grinning.

Elara smiled, her eyes sparkling. "We sure did, Eryndor. You were amazing out there."

I blushed, feeling a bit self-conscious. "Thanks, Elara. I couldn't have done it without your help."

Elara chuckled. "You're being too modest, Eryndor. You took down that alpha wolf like a veteran. "

I laughed, feeling a sense of camaraderie with Elara. "Well, I guess we make a good team. I'm just glad I was able to hit my mark."

We stood there for a moment, enjoying the silence and the sense of accomplishment. Then, I remembered the wolf corpses.

"Hey, Elara. What are we going to do with the wolf bodies?" I asked, looking around at the scattered corpses.

Elara nodded, her expression serious. "Don't worry about it, I've got it covered. I'll just put them in my storage bag and we can sell it in the city".

I nodded, feeling a sense of relief. "Alright, thanks Elara."

As Elara started to collect the wolf bodies and put them in her storage bag, I couldn't help but think about the claws. "Hey, Elara wait, let me collect some the wolves' claws. They might be useful for crafting or selling."

Elara watched with interest as I carefully extracted the sharp, curved claws from the wolves' paws. "Good idea, Eryndor. You never know when they might come in handy."

I nodded, tucking the claws into my pouch. "Yeah, and who knows, maybe we can use them to craft something cool."

Elara smiled, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "You're getting ambitious, Eryndor."

I chuckled, feeling a bit embarrassed. "Hey, I'm just trying to be prepared. Besides, it's not every day we get to take down a pack of wolves."

Elara laughed, and together we finished collecting the wolf bodies and claws. As we finished, I couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment and gratitude for the unexpected adventure.

As we walked back to the city, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. We had taken down a pack of wolves, and I had even managed to acquire a new skill. I looked over at Elara, who was walking beside me with a smile on her face.

"Thanks for your help back there, Elara," I said, feeling a sense of gratitude towards her. "I don't think I could have done it without you."

Elara chuckled and shook her head. "You're being too modest, Eryndor. You were the one who took down the alpha wolf. I just provided some backup."

I blushed, feeling a bit self-conscious. "Well, still. I appreciate your help. And I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with your storage bag. That thing is like a bottomless pit."

Elara laughed. "Yeah, it comes in handy sometimes. Although, I have to admit, it can be a bit of a pain to carry around when it's full."

As we walked through the city gates, Elara and I exchanged a nod. "I'll catch up with you later at the Academy, Eryndor," she said, her eyes sparkling with a hint of mischief.

I grinned, feeling a sense of excitement. "Sounds good, Elara. I'll see you then."

With that, we parted ways, each of us heading in different directions. I watched as Elara disappeared into the crowd, her long silver hair catching the sunlight.

I couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude towards her. She had been an invaluable ally today, she had helped me a lot but, I knew that I could not count on anyone in the future.

After what i had experienced today, i learnedthat i was weak, very weak. I need to be stronger so, that i myself is enough to deal with troubles .

I turned my attention to my own destination: Grimbold's Forge. I had a specific goal in mind. As I walked through the bustling streets.

After riding a carriage for some time, i finally reached my destination

I pushed open the door to Grimbold's Forge, the sound of hammering and clanging metal greeting me. Grimbold, the burly blacksmith, looked up from his workbench, a familiar smile spreading across his face.

"Did you bring the materials we discussed, Kid" he asked, his eyes crinkling at the corners.

oo

I smiled, pulling out the wolf claws and a piece of wood from the Silver Hood Tree from my pouch. "I've got them right here, Mister ."

I dropped Claws of wolves and wood of silver wood tree on the table.

Grimbold's eyes lit up with interest as he took in the materials.

" Is that the claw of the Alpha wolf"? he asked me in surprised

Which to that i nodded.

" What kind of Bow do you want to make? Recurve, longbow..." before he could finshined his sentence I said " Sword" " I want to make a Sword".

"I thought you were going to make a bow with those wolf claws, Eryndor. What made you change your mind?"

I hesitated for a moment, thinking back to my original plan. "To be honest, I was going to make a bow, but then I had a different idea. I want to make a sword".

Grimbold's eyebrows rose in surprise, but then a slow smile spread across his face. "Ah, I see. "

Then he picked one of the wolves claw from the table and said "Well, the wolf claws will provide strength and agility, while the Silver Hood Tree wood will add a touch of magic and will be a good handle to the blade. It's an...unconventional choice, but I think it could work."

I nodded "I want a sword that will be both strong and agile," I said, my voice filled with conviction. "A sword that will not break easily".

Grimbold nodded, his eyes sparkling with interest. "HaHa! I can help you with that, go bring that hammer here and Let's get to work."

I eagerly retrieved the hammer and returned to Grimbold's workbench, where he was already preparing the wolf claws and Silver Hood Tree wood. The air was thick with the smell of hot metal and sweat as we began our collaboration.

"First, we need to shape the wolf claws into a suitable form for the sword's blade," Grimbold explained, his hands moving deftly as he worked. "We'll need to heat them up to make them malleable, then hammer them into shape."

I watched in awe as Grimbold expertly heated the wolf claws in the forge, the metal glowing red-hot as he worked. He then began to hammer the claws into shape, the sound of the hammer ringing out as he shaped the metal into a long, curved blade.

As the blade began to take shape, Grimbold handed me the hammer. "Now it's your turn, kid," he said with a grin. "You need to put your mark on this sword."

I took the hammer, feeling a surge of excitement as I began to shape the blade. The metal was hot and pliable, and I could feel the weight of the sword taking shape in my hands. I hammered and shaped, the sound of the metal ringing out as I worked.

Once the blade was shaped, Grimbold took over again, using his expertise to add a razor-sharp edge to the sword. He then began to work on the hilt, shaping the Silver Hood Tree wood into a comfortable grip.

As the hilt took shape, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and ownership. This sword was going to be truly special, a one-of-a-kind weapon.

Finally, after hours of hard work, the sword was complete. Grimbold held it up, the blade glinting in the light of the forge. "Behold, kid," he said with a grin. "Your new sword, forged from the wolf claws and Silver Hood Tree wood. May it serve you well in battle."

I took the sword, feeling its weight and balance in my hands. It was perfect, a true masterpiece of swordcraft. I couldn't wait to test it out in battle, to see what kind of damage it could inflict on my enemies.

"Thank you, Mister," I said, my voice filled with gratitude.
