"What am I doing?"
She swore if her mother had been alive, she would have smacked her in the head for letting her heart rule over her brain.
She usually had more sense than this, but why did she suddenly fall apart when it came to him? It seemed her body and mind could not function when he was around.
"You better stop making a fool of yourself." She chastised her heart for having this false hope that he might have changed his mind about her.
Truthfully, she still could not understand what went wrong with their relationship. She thought everything had been smoothly running along until it was not.
In a snap of a finger, it was over between them. Again.
"Stop thinking of him."
Now, she did not know what was his game. Nonetheless, she could not be stupid enough to fall for it again. She had to harden her heart. Or this time, she might never recover.
He did not love you. He never did.
