Zen swung the bat towards the head of the aberrant who felt the threat and tilted it's head to the side, causing the Zen's full swing to crash onto it's shoulder, which made the aberrant to stagger backwards before falling on its buttocks.
Zen did not miss this chance, he jumped unto the aberrant and began to strike the head consecutively as blood splashed on his face.
"Die!... Die!!... Die!!!"
Zen swung his bat the last time before he jumped down from the aberrant's body. He gasped as he watched the headless body crashed backwards to the floor.

As soon as Zen saw the words before him, his vision darkened as he fell towards the floor only to fall into a soft embrace.
At a point, Sakura had come towards him, as she stared at his figure in her arms she sighed with relief as she saw his shallow breathing.
She ignored the text before her as she held onto Zen and took him into the boss room, laid him on the sofa before falling asleep herself.
Meanwhile, the world outside has been plunged into utter chaos. Aside from the fact that most of the government officials were unaffected and were killing aberrants, it is was as if they had anticipated the apocalypse.
Anything that used electricity as a source of power was useless as power supply around the world had been shut down.
The army of every country were going around saving people. There were also the normal folks who unlocked their Oracle Records after killing their first aberrant.
The key to the Oracle records is to kill an aberrant or be around a 100 meter radius of someone who kills one.
The sun had already disappeared into the horizon plunging everywhere into darkness, as the night clouds parted to reveal the moon, light appeared again.
Inside the convenience store, Zen's eyelids twitched before it opened and he sat up with a jolt.
"I'm not dead, am I?" He muttered as he looked around and noticed he was in the boss room before smiling wryly.
He felt some movement and looked to see Sakura who sat up groggily while scratching her left eyes. When she looked up at him, she just stared at him.
"Zen?" She called out, before he could reply, she jumped into his embrace and began to sob. Zen sighed as he patted her back and caressed her hair.
It took some time for Zen to calm the lass down before she got off him with a blush and sat at his side, her hand holding onto his bloodied clothes. Luckily, the boss room had a bathroom, but he needed to check this Oracle Records first.

Zen rose an eyebrow at the congratulatory message, he had grasped something from the short message, their world was not the only one in the universe. Only those who survive this apocalypse would be able to continue their lives in the universe.
"I just have to kill more aberrants and get stronger!" Zen muttered as he clenched his fists, Sakura grabbed his clenched fists causing him to look at her, he flashed her a genuine smile.
"Trying checking your system... I think it's called the Oracle Records or something..." Zen said and Sakura nodded before she began to stare into the air.
Zen noted another thing, only you can interact with your system.
Looking back at the system interface before him, Zen continued reading through it.

"Hiss ..." Zen inhaled sharply as soon as he saw Sakura's gift. It was a killer gift, she did just control anyone with just a look, a smile or the move of her fingers or not do anything at all.
He sighed with relief when he remembered that Sakura was his woman, she would not try to turn him into a puppet and if she did, it was not her fault, her skill was passive.
He decided to check out her skills and his eyes widened again.

Zen closed the interface with a rigid face as he stared at Sakura with fake fear.
Sakura titled her head, "Zen?"
"I will never wrong you, Sakura... I promise" Zen vowed as he held Sakura's hand firmly.
Sakura's eyes widened as she seem to have understood something and her eyes flashed with fear, she stared at Zen who was looking at her with stars shining in his eyes. "Are you not afraid of me?"
"Hmm.... Why should I?" Zen shook his head as he took Sakura into his embrace.
"You're OP, that's a blessing for me, we would be the OP couple, so need to fret... I'll always be here, whatever actions you take or whatever you become" Zen promised. Sakura held his clothes tightly.
Zen recalled something as he pulled Sakura from his embrace, "Your lineage is Protoss... Do you know what that is?"
Sakura nodded and explained, "Protoss were what gods were called, except that they had wings and a huge halo behind them and they were extremely beautiful"
"That's fair, you're beautiful that it's troublesome... Coupled with your charm" Zen nodded.
"Troublesome... Charm?" Sakura muttered.
"Do you know how many men would come for my head just because you are my woman... So I've got to be very strong if I want to be my your side" Zen said as a gleam passed through his eyes. Sakura stared at his side profile and blushed.
