ALEXA'S POV
I woke up feeling refreshed, it was Sunday morning and Drew won't be going to work today too. I checked my clock and it was almost eight am, I decided to make breakfast since I had nothing doing this morning. I stood up and walked into the bathroom, tying my hair up in a messy bun, brushing my teeth and going to the kitchen.
The house was still very calm and I suspected Drew was possibly still in bed and might not be coming out anytime soon. I remember all that happened the previous day from how he had set my body on fire and we were interrupted by Melissa his secretary, to how I had walked in on him masturbating and moaning my name. I realized he might as well be angry with me seeing the way I had chosen to be on a call with another person than give him a listening ear when he had mentioned we talked about something important and also ignoring him while he knocked at my door and playing very loud music instead.
I laughed lightly as I recalled everything, a part of me wanted to be scared he might punish me for ignoring him but the other part chose to be adamant after all, whatever way he decides to punish, is what I crave right now the most. James had asked me on a date last night when he called me, I was very excited because for once I wouldn't have to worry about Drew watching me and also I would be leaving the house by myself. I thought about several outfits to wear as I made breakfast, ''OH shit'' I exclaimed, I almost burnt the eggs. Thankfully the heat was on a low degree, I would have been starting the whole process again.
I made bacon with grilled tomatoes, buttered toast and black pudding. The whole kitchen was filled with a delicious aroma and I was practically salivating at the meal before it was ready. This was one of the very few things I was good at- cooking. I set the dining area and cleaned all traces or particles of dust on the table before setting down the food. I dished a portion for myself because I had no idea when Drew was going to be out of his room. I grabbed a pack of orange juice from the fridge and dived into my meal. After eating to my satisfaction, I had cleaned the cooking utensils and put them back in their place. Then I made my way to the sitting room to watch some TV series and wile away some time.
I slept off while watch a series on the television, I woke few hours later and it was already two thirty pm. I went to the kitchen to check if Drew had eaten the food I left him since morning, I opened the microwave and saw the food was still untouched. There were no traces as well that he even left his room at all today, I was tempted to check up on him in his room but also I was more scared of his reactions seeing he hasn't been out all day and might be in a bad mood or probably doing some online stuff. I decided to go back quietly to my room and sort out my outfit for my dinner date with James.
After what seems like forever, I finally settled for a short strapless velvet black gown. It was among the set Melissa had gotten, I decided to pair it with a brown jacket to match the cold weather, a long black booth and accessorize with my silver jewelries. I checked the time again and it was past four, James had mention he was going to pick me up by 6:00 pm. I needed to be ready before then, I had given him the address to Drew's apartment but asked him to stop a few blocks away and call my phone so I would meet up with him there. I went into my bathroom and started to run my bath, I wanted to smell so good so I added some scented oils to the bath water. I stepped into the water as soon as it was warm enough and relaxed into it a bit before I started to wash my whole body.
I came out of the bathroom feeling very relaxed and clean, that was the longest shower I've had in a while. I dressed up in the outfit I had picked out already and begin fixing my hair, I straightened my hair then added little curls to the tips. I had few minutes to do my makeup which consists of foundation, lip and eyeliner, a mascara, lip gloss and a powder. My phone rang few minutes into me doing my makeup, I checked the caller ID. It was James, he had called to inform me he was close and to be sure I was ready.
I finished my makeup quickly, grabbed my jacket and purse before sneaking out the house. Since I didn't tell Drew I was going out, I wouldn't want him to see me leaving the house. I was going to look for an explanation to give him when I'm back. I walked out of the apartment and into the cold air and sighted James leaning on his car, a black sports car. It looked quite expensive and must have cost a fortune.
I got to where James stood and gave him a hug smiling, ''hi'' I whispered still smiling.
''hey'' he replied leaning in and plastered a small kiss on my cheeks, you look pretty Alexa and smell so nice.
''Thanks,'' I replied back blushing, he had his way with words jeez, one of the many reasons I love talking with him. Hewalked me to the other side of the car and opened the door signaling me to get in. I did and buckled my seat belt immediately. He got in to the other side of the seat and without wasting any time, he zoomed off.
''So where are we going to?'' I asked him wanting to start up a conversation
''where would you like to go to?'' he asked staring at me from the corners of his eyes. I hadn't been anywhere in this town before so I literally had nowhere in mind to visit. ''I don't know anywhere interesting, I'm not familiar with this city yet.'' I answered truthfully.
He looked at me with a smirk on his face but said nothing, he turned towards a direction with trees and a narrow road surrounded by crystal water fall. ''wow, it's so beautiful here,'' I commented.
''Sure it is.'' He answered smiling but still concentrated on the road. I brought out my phone and took some beautiful pictures of the scene. I noticed there were several notifications on my phone screen and a text from Drew asking me where I was. He must be awake by now and in no time if he doesn't receive any reply, he would call me and I wasn't in any mood to deal with that right now. I immediately switched off my phone, I needed to enjoy this one outing without him, I also needed this distraction with James. Drew has been stuck in my head ever since I left home and I don't know if it's right for me.
We arrived in front of a serene environment with bright blue flowers and paintings of beautiful designs, there was a bold writing on the wall captioned ''GLACE''. This has to be the most beautiful restaurant I've seen or ever been to. James got out of the car and opened my side of the door, I got out of the car blushing and followed him in. Even though I had met James less than a month ago, he had been nothing but sweet to me. The way he makes me laugh and forget whatsoever it was pulling me down, he hasn't given me any reason to withdraw from him. He literally is the only friend I have right now and somehow I have come to grow fond of always speaking to him.
We ordered some food, drinks and later cakes for deserts, after that we took a walk to the garden area of the restaurant and talked about random things about each other, played a few games which led to James kissing me. I decided it was time to go home when I checked the time and it was past 10pm, I knew how furious Drew would be by now especially since he would be trying to reach me via my phone but I had switched it intentionally to avoid him. Hopefully he hadn't gone to look for me at home thinking I ran off there, I do not want any more problems with Mark.
