Since the last fight with Toshinori, my stats have increased a bit, which is encouraging. But it's disappointing that in order to formally defeat the strongest man in the world with weights, I had to use up all the energy stored in the domain. We need to find a way to recover that energy as quickly as possible, maybe create a generator or something.
But all of this was interrupted by some very unpleasant news that I learnt while following Detnerath.
CEO Rikiya Yotsubashi is actually...secretly running a revolutionary army of meta-humans, with the goal of overthrowing the current government that doesn't give humans the right to use their quirks. The Detnerate was created to carry out the revolution, as a major source of income and cover for a gradually growing army to overthrow the current system of government, which they call the Army of Equal Use of Superpowers, or ARIS. The Army of the Equal Use of Superpowers has left its mark on history as one of the most notorious villainous organisations.
ARIS itself was created long ago by Rikiya's father, Chikara Yotsubashi, aka Destro. In general, the revolutionary army was formed neatly at a time when people were actively persecuting and bullying the possessors of quirks. During this interval, Destro's mother died, and the government began to regulate the use of quirks. Chikara was against this, and believed that it was a human right to use one's superpowers, which is when ARIS was formed. Destro was subsequently caught and imprisoned, where he wrote his biography with their laid down ideals and aspirations, and afterwards committed suicide.
His son Ricia continued his father's work, calling himself Re-Destro, and spreading Destro's biography among the public masses, gradually gaining supporters.
And it turns out that there is an army of meta-humans, consisting of almost a hundred thousand people, which at any moment can organise a coup in the country, and then in the whole world. And that's a problem that needs to be solved right now. Shigaraki and his League can wait, but the situation with Re-Destro and ARIS needs to be dealt with immediately. And I know how.
***
Today had been a delightful day for Rikiya Yotsubashi, a middle-aged, middle-aged man with red hair, and balding hair, dressed in a striped dinner jacket, with a green shirt and tie. Most notable in his appearance, was his inordinately long, pointy nose and ears.
He continued the work of his unfortunate father, that he had spent his life fighting oppression and the stupid ban on quirks. Rikia believed fanatically, to the point of insanity, in his father's righteous cause, and instilled that belief in the rest of the ARIS members.
Today, Re-Destro was speaking alongside his allies, giving a speech to his supporters, inspiring the men to fulfil their primary mission.
Of course, not everything was outright perfect. ARIS was being hammered by the League of Villains, followed by Blur, which dragged all the public's attention. It annoyed Rikia, it pissed him off that people cared more about criminals than the really important things.
But Re-Destro wasn't discouraged, he knew that sooner or later, they would need to destroy the League.
And in high spirits, he walked into his office, on the top floor of the main Detnerath building, sat down in a leather chair by his desk and with a smile, crossed his fingers in front of him, anticipating the events to come.
- Sorry to interrupt your villainous thoughts. - I, in my vigilante costume, appeared from the teleporter in Rikia's office. - Let me introduce myself, I'm Tengu, the one who's going to kick your arse.
- Unexpected,' he said, his face unchanged. Rikia had always worn the mask of a kind and helpful man, and he wasn't about to take it off now. - But it's not critical. I'd say it's a good thing you showed up, the liberation army was going to come after you anyway.
- And why the interest in my person?
- Join me. Join the army of equal use of superpowers. - Re-Destro made me an offer. - You're a vigilante, you don't care about a stupid law regulating the use of superpowers.
- Yeah, I'm not arguing. Because of that law, people are stuck in an era of heroes and villains when they could step far ahead in progress with the use of quirks. Sure, not all quirks are safe for others, but nothing is impossible with current technology. - I reasoned, and the more I spoke, the wider Destro Jr's smile grew.
- Then join the ARIS. With your power, we'll win back our rightful right to use superpowers.
- Maybe I'd agree, but first of all, I don't want to get involved in a revolutionary war, and secondly, I can't stand people like Blur, psychopaths and fanatics. - I took a step forward and Rikia put his hand under the table, intending to press the security button, however I hacked the entire security system so no one will come. - What was I saying? Oh, yeah. You're Rikiya Yotsubashi's fanatic and psychopath. You think I don't know how you killed people and even employees of your company several times because they disagreed with your father's ideas? - I tilted my head questioningly.
- You're not going to be one of us, sadly. - He changed his tone, rising slowly from his chair. - I didn't want you dead, but you leave me no choice. I will do whatever is necessary and kill anyone to do Destro's bidding. - With a smile, he extended his right arm to his side, around which a strange smoke was gathering, and in the area of his left eye, Rikia got a spot of purple colour.
- Have a nice walk in the forest. - I suddenly said, causing his face to change in incomprehension...and Re-Destro fell through the portal that appeared beneath him, and he fell into the forest, far from the city, plus I had hacked Rikia's mobile phone, so he wouldn't be able to call for help.
I teleported after him, and as soon as he saw me, he tried to crush me with his hand, which had changed colour to match the stain on Yotsubashi's face.
- Die, in the name of Destro! - exclaimed the fanatic, attacking me without hesitation.
Rikia's quirk is called Stress, he can store negative emotions in his body and when the quirk is activated, he grows significantly in size and physical strength. In contrast to his quirk, positive emotions, on the contrary, weaken him.
- Ah, so that's how you got the bald spots. It's a lot of stress at work, isn't it? - I said sarcastically, ducking, jumping into the air and kicking Rikia in the face, throwing him about ten metres away, smashing through several trees with my body.
- I carry Destro's ideals and dreams within me, I am his son - Re-Destro! - Together with my arm, the rest of my body also grew to three metres, covered in dark spots. - I won't let anyone interfere with the liberation army!
- Now we will find out how strong your fanatical faith is. Heavenly Fang! - A powerful plasma beam the size of Re-Destro himself exploded from my hand.
- Stress 100%! Stress-Output! - Rikia was not confused, growing another two metres and covering his body with a dark armour of negative emotions, creating a ball of pure stress energy in his two hands. My reception and his collided together, and naturally mine easily overpowered his, sending Re-Destro into a short flight about a hundred metres ahead, demolishing most of the forest landscape.
- Oh, you're still alive? Destro would probably be very disappointed in his son. - I teleported in front of his carcass, struggling to get up from the ground. Most of the damage was absorbed by his stress armour, so he was still alive, though badly wounded, both arms had multiple burns and blood was oozing from his head.
Rikia himself is an extremely strong, I would even say abnormal mutant. His quirk makes him incredibly strong and impenetrable, however he had the misfortune to cross the path, of another, stronger abnormal mutant.
Upon spotting me again, intense fear flashed through his mind, and when I pointed my gun at him, he quickly deflated, taking on his original appearance.
- Wait...I admit I am not your equal and it was insulting to invite you...With your strength and desire to be free from the rules of society, you are worthy of much more...I and the army of liberation will follow you. - He fell to his knees and bowed to me, resting his forehead on the ground, with a strong background of fear. In principle, this behaviour of Rikia is not new, while I was spying on him, I noticed more than once how he sycophants to those who are higher in status than him.
- Well, now I see no reason to refuse such a generous offer. Rikiya Yotsubashi, from now on, you, your entire army and the Detnerate belong to me. - I put my hand on his head, and my eyes under his helmet glowed blue, signalling the use of telepathy.
To avoid turning him into a dumb-headed dummy at all, you have to penetrate someone else's mind carefully. I tried not to mess with his mind, and just changed his life priorities, if before he was completely devoted to the faith in Destro and ARIS, now he is absolutely loyal only to me.
Why did I do that? Well, there are several reasons, firstly I will get all the money capital and equipment Detnerat, and secondly in this Army of liberation over a hundred thousand people, the prison, where you can put so many people in Japan is not, and brainwash them all, I'm certainly not going to. So the best option is to take control of the top of the ARIS, and through them control the rest. I have nothing against their motives, but to start a war over it, no. It's easier to get into the heads of the leaders of all the UN countries, and through them decide to repeal the law banning the use of superpowers, with certain conditions...I'll get to that later.
- So, who do you serve Rikia? - I put the question to the newly minted Re-Re-Destro.
- You, my lord. - he answered as a matter of course.
- And if I ordered you to kill yourself, what would you do? - I asked.
- 'If the lord wishes my death, I will immediately kill myself. - he said without a shadow of doubt.
- I see. Oh! Say, I am Fufelschmertz and I plan to take over Tristate.
- I am a Fufelschmertz and I plan to take over Tristatey. - He replied with a serious face.
- Hehehe, okay, I'll laugh later. Let's get on with Ricky's business. - I healed him and teleported him back to the main Detnerate building, where he quickly replaced his torn suit with a new one and summoned the rest of the ARIS top brass.
First he summoned a smarmy kid called Apocryphus, who always wears a hood that covers his face. His quirk is ice manipulation, and he can manipulate ice in very large quantities. But unlike Shoko, who can freely create ice, Apocryphus can only manipulate it or create it if there is water nearby. In ARIS, he is the main unit, right behind Re-Destro.
Next he summoned a black haired, clean-shaven man with a moustache and a black suit, named Koku Hanabada, aka Rupor. He looks and talks like a politician, and his quirk is appropriate. His quirk is Awakening, and he can increase the physical strength and brain activity of people who hear his voice. In general, he is in charge of all organisational and political matters.
Tomoyasu Chikazoku or Sceptic, a tall and lanky man with long hair and fringes covering his eyes, was the penultimate to arrive. Tomoyasu's quirk allows him to take a human-sized object, such as a table or refrigerator, and turn it into a doppelganger of any given person. Tomoyasu is free to control these doppelgangers remotely, using his laptop as an intermediary. He can use multiple puppets at the same time, and can create more than one person at a time. He relies on his proprietary communication network and transceivers manufactured by Detnerath to control his puppets from afar. Sceptic, ARIS's chief brain and techie.
Last to arrive was a beautiful woman named Chitose Kizuki, her nickname Curious. Outwardly, she looks like a more mature version of Mina, only without the horns, with pale blue skin and purple hair, in general, a very attractive lady...of course, with her head is not all right, since she joined the secret army, but still pretty...maybe later, I'll get to know her 'closer'.
Chitose herself, in addition to being a member of ARIS, she is also a journalist and the executive director of Shueisha Publishing. At ARIS, she is responsible for gathering information. Her quirk allows her to turn anything and anyone into a mine with a touch, the mines themselves are not lethal, and are only dangerous if there are a lot of them.
I got into the heads of all these fucked up mates and did the same thing I did to Rikia, I made them all my slaves.
Now I own the rich company, along with the revolutionary army. And now, I have the opportunity to create my pending projects, since I have a buttload of resources. And Detnerat is not a poor company, in fact, they have their own satellite with which ARIS monitors all potentially dangerous individuals.
And now, with Detnerath's technology, I can start building the Tachyon Quirk Accelerator. Some of the materials I need, unfortunately, Detnerath doesn't have, but that's okay.
With what the company has, I was able to hastily build a few drone-gatherers that would get me the metals I needed in space. The design itself is simple, not much different from my previous work. One such collector drone looks like a large mechanical eye. It's powered by photon cores, just like the ones in my armour. They also have built-in gravity batteries, to recreate a zero gravity effect so they float freely in the air, and for travelling in space, there are small turbines to change and accelerate the motion. For crushing hard rock, the drone has a photon laser, right in the eye-visor, they don't have a separate compartment to collect metals, instead, they collect metals into dome-shaped spheres of light formed from secondary, smaller visors, near the main one. At a time, one such drone can carry no more than ten kilograms, but they can work non-stop, so it's not significant.
In a week, the drones have collected about a dozen tonnes of resources, and in a month, I'll have tens of thousands of tonnes of metals.
It would also be nice to build a space station for myself, collecting solar energy for my own use. As my fight with the Almighty showed, I can defeat such strong enemies only in the form of a phantom, but its activation requires a colossal amount of energy, which I do not have. And a solar station can collect the energy I need from the surplus.
So far, I've outlined a rough drawing of the station and its location, and then it's a matter of technique. As soon as I get enough resources from the drone-gatherers, I can start construction.
Excess metals, the ones I don't need, can be sold through the company, let Detnerath deal with the technology associated with the use of quirks, nothing to prevent the company to engage in 'mining' industry...from space.
And since I am now fabulously wealthy, I decided to buy myself a new house to match my status. With the money of the liberation army, I bought a two-storey mansion for an exorbitant amount of money with a lot of zeros...well, I don't care how much it cost, it wasn't my money.
Alone to live in such a mansion, I will not be fun, so later I will invite my harem to move into my new house. But it will be a little later, because I recently received an invitation that I can't refuse.
