Recently, I received an invitation to the I-Expo exhibition, where they will be demonstrating new technologies. The exhibition itself takes place on I-Island, a specially created, artificial island built with the support of large companies from all over the world. The island is world-famous, often broadcast on TV channels and news, and no wonder.
The students from Yuei were suggested to visit I-Island, you can use your quirks there, yes there are many quirk-based attractions.
I got an individual invitation to I-Expo, it's basically a regular presentation-party, showcasing new technologies, scientific achievements and all that sort of thing, with a couple of new PR heroes attending. I was invited for one reason, I won the sports festival, and I wasn't the only one invited, Todoroki was also invited, as she said she was invited by a friend of her father's. I was given another invitation, and I gave it to a surprised Katsuki. She, of course, grumbled as usual, but it was a kind of gratitude...you can't hear the words thank you and please from her.
Yaoyorozu and Iida are also coming to the I-Expo, their families are sponsored by several I-Island companies, Yaoyorozu got two more invitations, and took Kyoku with her, and the second ticket was also raffled off between her classmates, with Ochako winning. The other girls were disappointed that they couldn't go to the party, but I promised to take a walk around the island with them afterwards, which made them less disappointed.
- What are you thinking about, young Mizuiro? - The Almighty asked me, putting his hands behind his head and placing one foot on the other.
Right now, I, along with Toshinori, was on a plane just to I-Island. He asked me to fly with him, almost the moment I received the invitation.
- I've been thinking about your words Almighty. Can we already start this important conversation you hinted at? - I remembered when he promised to tell me something important.

- Today, we will test what you have learnt from your internship, young heroes! - exclaimed the Almighty as the class gathered at the Gamma Proving Grounds. The Gamma Range is an industrial site made up of many factory buildings that form a maze between them. The maze contains tonnes of heavy machinery including cranes and pipelines.
- Just as expected from Yuei! No wonder the best of the best studied here! - Iida said as usual, waving his arms around.
- The internship had just ended, and here were the tests again. - Tokoyami exhaled. And yes, the new training began, just the day after the internship ended.
- Kwa, it was expected. - said Tsuyu, not surprised in the slightest.
- Today's test: The race! - exclaimed the Almighty. - You will divide into groups and run to the finish line, in the race you can use quirks. Show what you can do!
- Pfft, and it's Easy win again. - I snorted and stretched, and immediately got a poke in the side and a judgemental look from Itsuki.
- Oh, and one more thing. - Toshinori shifted his gaze to me. - Young Mizuiro is not participating in the trial. - He said, and everyone turned to look at me.
- Why is that? - Seko tilted her head to the side.
- Using his quirk, young Mizuiro will finish first anyway. - he explained.
- Yeah, in case anyone doesn't know, the speed of light is the absolute value of the speed of propagation of electromagnetic waves, which is the fastest phenomenon in the world. - I said. - Don't worry, I won't be taking all the prizes this time. - I said and received an angry glare from Katsuki.
- First group - Sero, Ashido, Iida, Ojiro and Bakugou, take your positions! - Toshinori announced and everyone else went to the giant monitor showing the race from the surveillance cameras. - Young Mizuiro, hold on for a second.
- What is it? - I asked, stepping closer to the Peace Symbol.
- I have an important conversation with you. I have a trimester exam coming up, so in order to keep you in class, I'd like to talk to you afterwards. Believe me, it's very important. - He spoke seriously, surprising me a little. Usually, the Almighty walks around with a smile on his face, and he's always positive.
- All right, as you say. - I agreed, not really knowing what he wanted.

- Since you dragged me on the plane with you, this must be very important information. I'm listening. - I crossed my arms, sitting next to Toshinori on the plane.
- Yeah, no one can overhear here. - He said cautiously, looking around. - Do you remember our conversation about One for All? - He asked, and I nodded. - I didn't tell you the truth about my ability. You may not be One for All's successor, but you're still one of the possible candidates, and I'll need your help in I-Island, so I think it's fair to tell you all the details...' The Almighty was gradually building up the atmosphere.
- Chew on it already.
- Ahem, yeah, I'm getting a little emotional. So, my quirk One for All is different from the rest of the superpowers, it's a special quirk, and its origin is appropriate...One for All came from another quirk that existed from the very beginning. - At this point, Toshinori visibly tensed up, as if remembering something unpleasant. - All for One...the ability, to steal other people's quirks and appropriate them for oneself. It also allows you to pass them on to other people. - he said, causing me to jerk sharply. - Is something wrong?
- Ahem, nothing. Go on.
- It all started at the dawn of the Age of Fads, when society had not yet adapted to change. There was a time when the word man lost all meaning, the law lost its power, civilisation ceased to develop, everything went to hell...and in the midst of this chaos, a man appeared and gathered people around him. I'm sure you've heard of him. He took people's quirks and through his power, quickly spread his influence in Japan. He ruled his supporters like pawns, but he wanted only one thing. To rule like a tyrant. And he almost achieved it. - he explained, and the longer he talked, the more I realised exactly who he was talking about. - Remember what I said. All for One can pass on quirks, but not all people can handle more than one quirk. Often, such people became dumb-headed goons...like Nomu.
- Does he have a name? - I clarified, because it's the All for One I'm going to kill.
- No...I don't know, and apparently no one does. All for One is not stupid, and one of the first quirks he stole was the elimination of a major human weakness. Aging. But back to All for One. - Toshinori quickly returned to the original topic. - One for All had a younger brother. His younger brother was weak in body and lacked a quirk, yet he had an indomitable spirit and a high sense of justice. All for One forcibly passed on to him the quirk of hoarding. Whether it was out of concern or out of a desire to subdue his will...As it turned out, the younger brother had a quirk, but it was extremely weak and all it could do was to transfer itself to another person. And then the quirk of accumulating power...and the quirk of transmitting it became one for all! - said the Almighty solemnly. - The younger brother could not defeat the elder, so he decided to transfer the power to another man, and the latter to another man, and so it would continue until One for All defeated All for One.
- It's funny, the appearance of One for All is one solid irony. Out of one horrible quirk, another came along to destroy the original one. - I let out a chuckle. - Do you know where All for One is now?
- I don't know...to be honest, I thought I was done with him once and for all...but he's alive and what's more, All for One is in charge of the League of Villains!
- Great, so Yuei was attacked for a reason...the school was attacked because you Almighty appeared in Yuei. - I said, and Toshinori coughed into his fist, turning away. - But that doesn't explain why you need my help at I-Island?
- At I-Expo, I was invited by someone close to me...and that person is an oddball.
- ...It all makes sense to me now. You have found a potential new host for One for All, and what's more, you are personally acquainted with him...only you need me for what?
- Young Mizuiro...I'll be honest, I'm not the best teacher, and I doubt I'll be able to train the new host properly. I thought it would be better if the host was trained by someone around the same age. - he explained. - Besides, there's a scientist friend of mine there too, you and he will definitely find something to talk about.
- Um, okay. I hope your potential heir and friend will be adequate people.
- You don't have to worry about that. - he waved his hand. - By the way, we're almost there, look out the window. - He said, and I did as he asked.
The island is completely artificial and mostly built of iron. However, there are four different towns on the island, separated by large bodies of water and natural vegetation. There are beautiful beaches, great lakes, and incredible towns where scientists live. The island has a residential area, a business district, and schools. The entire island is enclosed by a huge wall, made of the same material that the walls of Tartarus, the most famous and guarded prison in Japan, are made of.
- It's beautiful. - was all I could say, impressed.
The only way to get to the island is by plane, entering through the airport, and before leaving, the Almighty hastily changed into a suit, and I was already in one. Next we had to go through customs, our luggage was checked, and we were finally released with a clear conscience.
- Here it is I-Island! - he said majestically in his pumped up guise as we walked around.
- I love it, everything is so futuristic and unusual. It will be interesting to see this year's latest technological developments.-looking around at the buildings of the future, all sorts of whimsy-powered rides, and an immeasurable number of heroes from all over the world...and with them, journalists.
- Bleee-ee-ing. Toshinori-san, let's get out of here. - I said quietly, gradually stepping aside, but it was too late, the media had spotted the over-pumped superhero with the funny hairstyle.
- It's the Almighty! - exclaimed some woman with a microphone.
- Wow, he's so big in real life! - exclaimed a small schoolboy passing by. And within seconds, the Almighty was mobbed from all sides by fans.
- A-ha-ha-ha-ha! I love you guys, too! Who wants an autograph? - The Almighty laughed out loud and started signing autographs, and he did it for almost half an hour.
- Almighty, I told you to get out of here. Because of you, I had to stand and wait for almost an hour. - I said accusingly, all the while standing aside at the fountain, watching this cataclysm.
- I didn't think I would be so welcome. - He replied, a little embarrassed, wiping off his lipstick. If they'd known what he really looked like, they probably wouldn't have kissed him.
Our dialogue was interrupted by a girl literally bouncing towards us on a futuristic jumping stick.
- Uncle Almighty! - A pretty, long-haired blonde girl with blue eyes and glasses flew into Toshinori on a big jump.
- Ha ha ha ha, Melissa! - He caught her deftly with both hands and laughed.
- I'm glad you came to visit. It's been a long time! - The blonde smiled back at him.
- You've grown so much! It's been so long since I last saw you, you were just a baby! - he said. - By the way, thanks for inviting me over!
- I recently turned seventeen, and I'm not so easy anymore. - she said.
- And to me, you haven't changed a bit! - He lifted her easily above him, to their mutual laughter. - Where's Dave? - He lowered Melissa to her feet and asked.
- My dad is busy with a very important project right now, so he's working very hard. So I invited you here to make him happy. - she slyly covered one eye with a finger to her lips.
- Ahem.' I drew attention to myself, standing behind Toshinori's back.
- Oh, and this? - She leaned sideways to get a good look at me.
- And young Mizuiro, let me introduce you. This is Melissa, daughter of my good friend, Professor David Shield. - He introduced her and winked, as if to suggest who I was.
- So she's the one who invited you...well it's nice to meet you Melissa, I'm a student at Yuei Academy, my name is Akira Mizuiro. - I took her outstretched elegant hand and kissed it, making her a little embarrassed. - I recently read Professor Shield's paper on quirk enhancement, and I found it extremely interesting.
- Are you interested in my father's work? - she said intrigued.
- Specifically the article of the professor, I'm not interested, but the idea of possible amplification of the quirk, by external influence on the inactive parts of the brain, I am intrigued. - I opened up my scientific knowledge a bit to impress the possible future owner of the Almighty's power.
- Melissa, I recently got a job as a teacher in Yuei, and I took young Mizuiro, the best student in all of Yuei, as my companion! - as if he were promoting me.
- Oh, so you're a future hero! - Her eyes lit up with excitement.
- Not yet, I'm just learning to be a hero.
- Hmm. - she put her finger to her chin, walking round me in a circle. - What's your quirk?
- My quirk is called Flow of Light. I can freely control energy both inside my body, increasing its speed, strength, and durability, and outside, creating different designs, and shooting lasers from my eyes, bellybutton, and any part of my body. - I replied easily and casually.
- Liar. - She looked at me doubtfully.
- Eh. - I stretched my index finger into the sky, shot a photon beam, the area covering a third of the island, and then I stretched out the whole palm with spread fingers, around which the shutters of cannons from pseudo-matter were gathered, and let the rays from all fingers, only now the beam covered almost half of the island. And on this whistling I spent ten thousand units of light... poor my energy wallet. - Do you believe it now?
- ...I do. - she replied stiffly and turned her gaze to her kindly uncle.
- Look at the time! It's about time we went to see Dave! - He ignored Melissa's questioning look and took off for who knows where, and I with him.
- Oh, yes!' she was quick to react and picked up the jump rope, which glowed and gathered into a small compact device, and set off with us, showing us the way.
- Don't say anything to Melissa and Dave yet, I don't want to shock them. I'll tell them everything when the atmosphere is right. - Toshinori whispered in my ear, to which I silently agreed.
Melissa led us to the multi-storey building where Professor Shield's lab was located. When we entered his office, we saw a couple of men talking to each other, one of them a medium-sized man with brown hair, glasses, and a beard, and the other, overweight and good-natured. If the first one I know is David Shield, the second one must be his assistant.
- Dad, guess who I brought to visit you? - Melissa sneaked into the lab and promptly broke the news to her father.
I'm here to greet my friend! - The Almighty flew into the office and wrapped his friend in a tight hug, lifting him off the ground. 'Ha ha ha, hello Dave!
- Toshi? - Dave was surprised, not expecting to see him here.
- The Almighty? N-real? - Dave was followed by his assistant, whom he called Sam.
Soon Toshinori's friend recoiled from his surprise, and they laughed together. As far as I know, it was Professor Shield who designed all the costumes for the Almighty, and helped him when he was a young man in America.
- Dave, let me introduce my student, young Mizuiro Akira, a very capable young man. - introduced me to the professor, the Almighty.
- Oh, so you're the winner of the sports festival. - Shield recognised me, no wonder, I-Island's sponsors invited me, and what they know, so does their main profit provider.
- That's right, Professor Shield. Let me personally thank you for your expertise in the study of whimsy. Some of which I've used in my own projects. - I politely greeted him and rolled up my sleeve, revealing my wristband. I did it because I respect people of great intellect. Scientists are the ones who move people's progress forward.
- A portable computer, with a holographic interface...a power source? - He took my wristband in both hands and examined it from all sides, and my daughter and Steve joined him.
- Solar energy, the device has photocells built into it, so I can charge it with my quirk, energy management. - I explained.
- Creative...you are gifted with a great mind Mizuiro Akira. - He extended his hand to me as a sign of respect and I immediately shook it. - Melissa, could you give Akira a little tour, I'm sure he'll appreciate what we've done. I'll talk to the Almighty. - he asked his daughter, radiating a little excitement directed at Toshinori.
- Good. - She nodded and unceremoniously took my hand and led me to the exhibition of the latest technologies.
I didn't like all of the hero technology on display, but I picked out a few of the really useful ones. For example, a new fighter jet, shaped like a flat fish, that can move freely at the same speed, both in the air and underwater.
Or, there's also an impenetrable diving suit that can dive to depths of up to seven thousand metres without harming humans. Again, it looks very much like a fish.
There was also more primitive technology, like a helmet with a holographic interface, but it was an order of magnitude worse than my suit.
- It all looks good, but your beauty, Melissa, outshines the whole exhibition. - I paid attention to her beauty, and Melissa is a very pretty girl, and smart.
- Thank you. - Melissa accepted my compliment with a slight hesitation. - You know...when I was a kid, I wanted to be a heroine like Uncle Almighty, but my quirk never manifested as a child, so I gave up on it. Instead, I decided to be a hero like my dad, helping people with my mind. - Melissa told me.
- You're a smart girl Melissa, and it's rare to meet someone so beautiful and intelligent. I'm sure you'll make a wonderful heroine. - He took her palm and kissed her again, silent that her childhood dream might soon come true.
- Having fun, Akira? - I heard Uraraki's voice behind me and turned around to see her with a fake smile, while she exuded a fierce jealousy.
