I was now seven years old, and in that time some things had happened in my life.
My grandfather had his own dojo, which he didn't want to sell, but to inherit to his son, as well as to inherit his fighting style. But fate decided otherwise, and gave Saburo a windy daughter, so when I, two years ago, asked grandpa to teach me martial arts, he was so happy that even wrinkles smoothed on his moustached face.
Grandpa rarely came to his dojo, but his deputy was usually in charge, and he was the one who taught the other students.
Anyway, I had nothing to do, and so, at least I'll occupy time, moreover, that doctor was not lying, I really develop faster than other children, I look about two years older, but as a disadvantage, because of the rapid development, I eat like a bottomless pipe. It was not a problem for Grandpa, because he also eats a lot. Grandpa once said that I look like my mother, because of my dark hair and cute face, and blue eyes probably from my father, but I am smart. I wasn't ugly in my previous life, but comparing my past self to my new one, my new appearance looks like a future smarmy anime bisenyon.
During this time, I was able to understand my abilities and how to develop them. Thanks to the system, I can control the life energy in my body, and its amount depends on the stamina of the physical body. At the initial stages of my development, during the training of my body, it helped me not to deflate too quickly. With Light, however, it's different. Umbra said that the soul consists of several parts, so my Light is produced directly by a part of the soul, namely the Magic Shell and the Physical Body. I regenerate magic energy quite quickly, and when I sit down to meditate in the sun, it regenerates even faster. The thing is that when I meditate, I try not only to control the energy in my body better, but I try to absorb the surrounding sunlight, i.e. photons. Even during meditations, my Control and Magic characteristics grow little by little. At first I had some progress in this respect, but now the result of training is visible on my face...you can draw an analogy with a gym, when you work out a lot, but the result pays for itself not immediately.
But even now, I am limited in energy, and I have to meditate at least once a day, to recharge myself with photons and convert them to continue training. So I sat for several hours a day, meditating on the roof of my grandfather's dojo, basking in the sunlight. Among other things, I was also working on the physical development of my body, because the cells that absorb photons also depend on the body, and when I got tired, I used HP to relieve the fatigue, which I can also use to heal wounds. I can also use light to repair and regenerate my body, but with life energy, it's easier, as it's literally 'honed' for that.
My grandfather did physical training with me, well, as he did, first he taught me the technique of fighting, where basically, as grandfather says, it's not how well you work out blows and block them, but how well you develop reaction.
I developed a good relationship with my grandfather, he is of course a very strict and perpetually scowling mountain of muscle, but also a very kind mountain of muscle. My grandfather has also grown attached to me, although he was wary of me at first, and with some judgement. He doesn't care much for anyone but Asians, and my father was definitely American, judging by some of my facial features, but he has no one else in his family except for me and my mother, who's in the middle of nowhere, and I'm a model grandson, not whining, not whining, and wanting to learn how to punch my enemies with all my might...just like my beloved grandfather.
- Akira, let's see what you've learnt. Now, we will have a practice fight, you can hit with all your might with your quirk, don't worry, nothing will happen to me, my quirk makes me very strong. - Saburo said and crossed his arms on his chest.
- Good grandpa. - I replied, building up energy in my body, and then I made a few punches with my hands right into the old man's chest. - Take that!
- Not bad. - He said and took my blows on crossed arms, he even threw back a little. - Now I'll attack, and you try to react and dodge in time. - Saburo got into a fighting stance and then lightning fast attacked me.
Actually, I could easily dodge all the blows now, because I control light, and light is the fastest phenomenon that exists in the entire world. Just shrouded in it, I can go to an incredible, for ordinary people speed and acquire about the same strength and strength. The other thing is that there may come a time when I won't be able to use the quirk, and my combat reflexes will come in handy in such situations.
At first, I missed a couple of blows, but with some practice I was able to dodge almost half of them. My grandfather was hitting me with all his might, as the cover of Light increased the strength of my body. Of course, the blows of the Japanese, one hundred and twenty-five kilogram terminator were not pleasant, but tolerable, wounds on me, anyway, heal like on a dog. Saburo is a recognised master of budujutsu - the martial arts of traditional and feudal Japan, the branches of which are: Karate, Judo, Iaido, Kendo, Kyudo, Jodo, Aikido and Shorinji kempo. Although, as my grandfather himself admitted, he emphasises Karate, Kendo, Iaido and Judo, which is what he teaches me.
Karate consists in the technique of strikes with hands and feet, in vital points of the body. Unlike Judo, which uses grappling and strangulation techniques, karate is designed to defeat the opponent with maximum damage.
Jodo is a martial art with the use of staff - jyo, that is, with a weapon in the hands. The blow of the staff is very dangerous, because, made of oak, very saturated with water, it can break even the blade of a sword.
Kendo and Iaido are similar, both use a sword, katana or training bokken, and the difference is the style of attack. Kendo practices attacks for sword duels, while Iaido is not fencing itself, but rather the instantaneous defeat of an opponent with the blade initially sheathed.
My grandfather teaches me everything he knows, but so far I've been particularly successful in karate and fencing, at least that's what my grandfather says.
The old man used to hold back at least a little, and when he learnt about my regeneration, he stopped feeling sorry for me, and I became a living punching bag...a little pessimistic, but the essence conveys correctly.
- Grandpa, can't you hold back a little bit? - I said, getting kicked in the chest.
- I don't know, I teach you the way my father taught me, he always liked to say, training through sweat, blood and tears is always the most effective. And nothing will happen to you, you recover quickly. - he waved his hand.
- Yeah, but it doesn't feel good. Let's move on to the bokken training, shall we?
- Hm, good, but after you must repeat the set of exercises again...or better two or three times. - Oh, Grandpa is the most caring relative in the world.
No, I don't really like getting hit on the head, but the old man is right, only in battle, you can learn something, just honing blows is useless, without experience in a real fight. But the other students in the dojo were quietly freaking out at my and my grandfather's training. They thought I was some kind of abnormal child with abnormal survivability, and they ran away from my grandfather in fear, as if he were a screemer in a horror film.
In addition to training, my grandfather taught me maths, language and other school subjects, which, for the sake of appearances, I learnt too fast, so fast that I read all the material of primary school. My grandfather was not a fool, and understood that with my clever brains I had nothing to do in kindergarten and school, so I had plenty of free time. Because of my good physical development, my status underwent a few changes:
≪Status≫
HP: 1030 [257.5 per hour]
Light: 2880 [720 per hour]
Characteristics:
Body: 94
Stamina: 103
Control: 99
Intelligence: 85
Magic: 100
Overall, I'm as strong as an average adult right now, which is surprising, and if I use the Light Stream, my strength and durability will increase by a factor of five. Like Umbra said, the system will eventually, make me even stronger, but only if I keep evolving myself, and I will. I'm not naive, and I realise that superpowers are a big blow to the brains of idiots, with an inflated HQ, because of which the world is probably full of all sorts of evil people, and probably there will be those who will wish me dead. As such death I am not afraid of, because I have already died and understand that death is still not the end, but the desire to be born again helpless soplezhuyuem, I do not have at all.
Recently I was able to unlock the skill Inventory, and it is very useful. Inventory is a spatial pocket in my soul, where I can put all the junk I need, and the weight of all these things, evenly distributed throughout my body, which is very much needed for training.
On the eve of this event another thing happened, my grandfather had urgent business, and he left for a few days, leaving me alone. Grandpa trusted me, and understood that I'm not a stupid kid that will play with matches, and with a calm soul, left, telling me to continue to train, but in vain he believed my pretty face, while grandpa is not there, I decided to go through his things, and found something interesting. It turns out that Saburo used to be an underground fighter, fighting people for money in a ring that wasn't quite legal. I even dug up a couple of pictures of the old man driving his big heel right into poor people's heads.
Also, I found some contacts, and the locations of the nearest bare-knuckle fights from here. For the sake of interest, though more to look for adventure on my little arse, I flew to these places. Yes, I can fly, I learnt it about two months ago, though it's hard to call it levitation, it's basically manipulating the photons in my body, making them 'pull' me upwards...that's the explanation. I can launch myself like a rocket in a certain direction, but it takes a lot of energy, I can fly at such a pace for about ten or twenty minutes, and then take a break and restore energy. Well, this time is enough for me, especially when I fly, I turn into a huge plasma beam of blue light, and for your information, the speed of light is about 300 million metres per second. I don't have that speed of course, at most I can accelerate to Mach one, Mach one equates to about 1200 kilometres per hour.
All the nearest underground rings near Tokyo, were either closed, or there were good policemen, so I decided to fly to Osaka, there according to the records of my grandfather, there is a famous hot spot, where often flock all kinds of fans of fights. The distance from Tokyo to Osaka is about 500 kilometres, or about twenty minutes, flying like me.
However, on the way, I took a wrong turn and ended up not in Osaka, but in Kyoto, which is to the north of it. At least I didn't fly for nothing, because while I was flying over the city, two gangsters were robbing a bank, and now they were getting away on their own, because their accomplice in a car had fled as soon as he heard the sound of police cars. The first bandit was an anthropomorphic rhinoceros, and the second was a boar with a Mohawk, and both had firearms...this world is very strange.
- Who is this brat? - was surprised by the rhinoceros man, noticing a flying child with a thoughtful face.
- How the hell should I know, huh? And anyway, what the fuck does it matter, we have to leave before the heroes come here. - replied the boar with the Mohawk. - What the!? - he shouted, dodging the plasma beam.
- What the hell are you doing, you bastard?! - shouted the rhino and pointed his gun at me.
- Isn't it obvious, this is a civilian detention...mixed with catching escaped zoo animals. - I replied with a sneer.
I decided to help the valiant guardians of law and order and before these thugs decided to pelt me with bullets, I rammed them at full speed, in the form of a plasma beam. It was dangerous to get into close combat with them, they had firearms that wouldn't kill me, but I didn't want to experience the sensation of bullets colliding with my body.
They weren't particularly strong or durable, nor did they have any fighting skills, so punching a couple of walls with their skulls easily knocked out the rhino and the boar.
Yeah, in my past life, I'd always dreamed of being a mage or a superhero to shoot fireballs or lasers out of my hands, but now it was a dream come true. But now, it's become a commonplace for me, because I'm not the only one with superpowers in this world, and a flying guy, though rarely, but can be found.
After killing the bandits, I immediately fled, so as not to listen to the possible lamentations from the police, and flew back to the original route. On the way I had to land on the roof of an apartment building for a couple of hours to recover the energy spent on the bandits, and then I flew again.
