Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

Vodtak sent the wind blades to the next rebel, and the rebel gasped for breath as he died.

"Please stop," Delenor said.

"Oh… well you're not talking," Vodtak replied and sent another wind blade to the next, and the next and the next.

"Stop," Delenor tried to look away.

You promised Gengs you won't give up that location.

Vodtak whistled as he sent the next rebel gagging on her blood.

"Alright, I'll talk, I'll talk," Delenor said.

"Oh no, you haven't learnt your lesson yet," he killed the rest of the rebels one after the other. "Bring the next batch," he said smiling.

The lesser Children dragged another twelve rebels into the room. He motioned them to be put on their knees. He armed his wind blades again and sent them to the first rebel. Delenor screamed.

"I'll talk," she said and staggered to her feet. She fell forward close to Vodtak. Her body, bloodied, she wept terribly. "Please," She managed to get on her knees using Vodtak's legs as support. She held his hand. He paused and looked at her, his wind blades millimeters away from the neck of the rebel. Delenor could see the rebel taking deep breaths.

"Give her the console," Vodtak said as he extinguished the wind blades. The rebel looked relieved and one of the Children brought a pad to her.

"Thank you," Delenor said as she fell to the floor and started typing the figures coordinates. She cleaned her eyes as she continued.

You've saved some lives Delenor, she assured herself in her thoughts.

Vodtak pushed her with his feet to get her some distance from him. He eyed her and shook his head,

"You know why you're weak, Delenor?" He asked as she typed. "An influence of Mother's weakness. Your very existence makes me so mad. I can't imagine how a prime species like me could be capable of such weakness."

Delenor fell to the ground, and stared at the ceiling, "I'm done," she said within her breaths.

Too tired.

"Alright, get the console from her," he said. He looked to the rest of the rebels, "I guess I no longer have use for these."

"But you–," Delenor started.

He launched wind blades at all of them. The blades cut straight through their throats and they all fell to the floor gasping for breath. Delenor sprung up to her knees in shock. She covered her mouth, as tears made their way down her face.

"Now knock her out," he said, gesturing to Delenor.

"What if she gave the wrong location?" One of the 'Children' asked.

"She knows better than to lie to me," he replied. He turned to Delenor, "I sure hope I'm right on that one, I might like killing but I also hate losing on time."

"Time is already far spent," he said as he got up and walked towards Delenor.

Boss, you sit back there and watch this, I hate you, she thought as Vodtak pulled out a syringe.

What?

He held her arm and injected the content into her. Her vision went dark.

She blacked out.
