*Roar
A deafening roar reverberated through the forest, its echo quickly followed by a cacophony of other roars from the same directions. My grip tightened around the hilt of my sword, knuckles white with tension.
Emerging from the shadows, the monsters revealed themselves—wolf-type beasts, each towering over two meters in height. Their black, sinewy hides blended seamlessly with the darkness, giving them a natural advantage of camouflage in this dark and eerie environment.
Their murky purple eyes glowed ominously, like embers burning in the void, each gaze fixed on me with predatory intent. Swirling arcs of purple energy crackled around their massive claws, each swipe promising devastation.
At the back of the pack, one stood taller than the rest—a beast even larger, with an aura more menacing than its packmates. Its jaws hung open, saliva dripping from razor-sharp canines that gleamed even in the faint, dim light.
