The moment she had secretly wished for hung in the air for a while.
"Okay," she replied, leaning into her hope.
"I think I'm being followed."
Her heart sank slightly—how could he turn this moment into something so unromantic? Or better yet, how could she have believed that now, of all times, he would confess? Her initial fantasies of romance were practically shattered at that moment.
"Who's following you?" she asked, trying to mask her disbelief.
"I think a few Road Riders," he replied, glancing around carefully and scanning the crowd. "Ever since the news broke about me being the leader of Team Agartha, I feel like someone's been tailing me."
