That Evening...
Orion had stepped out of his chambers for some fresh air. A pair of wings grew out of his back and he flew to the roof of the building. He often flew up here to clear his head especially when he had a lot on his mind. Today was exactly one year after he was exiled. The Empress had died a few days into her exile while his sister had fled the Empire and was currently nowhere to be found. One year since his life had been changed from one of luxury, partying and freedom. As a young Prince, he was known to be a rake, pampered and on the fence on political and diplomatic matters. A typical spoilt Prince. Even then he was still spoiled rotten by his father, the Emperor, and got anything he wished for until 'she' came into the picture. He was without warning thrust into the role of a saviour, a warrior and a conqueror. The blood of his father was on his hands now.
"Lorianne" he hated the name so much. The only reason he hadn't executed her the moment she was captured was because of the Jewel. He was lucky he didn't let his hatred and resentment for Lorianne cloud his senses or he might have killed an innocent person unjustly.
Orion ran his fingers through his hair and sighed deeply. He continued to stare blankly at the midnight star-studded sky recounting his gory life...
Sensing some movement from one of the Chambers below he got closer to the edge of the roof and looked below. "It seems I'm not the only one who can't sleep." he mumbled to himself seeing Sasha out on the balcony of her chambers. Unexpectedly she began to climb the railing and then without a moment's warning, she jumped off.
