"if I'm being honest I don't know!"
Those word resounded at the back of her mind as she gives the devil a dumbfounded expression.
"Wh-at do you mean you don't know."
As if what ever effect the devil had on her had disappeared she let out an outburst that displayed her frustration.
Envy sighed and began to explain deeper.
"I'm a devil..." He pointed at himself and then pointed at her,"... you're a human."
Ciel nod in agreement.
"So my method might be different from yours hence I don't know how to improve a humans conviction."
"So a difference in psychology?"
"Yes hence why I said I dislike you not hate."
As a devil something are relatively easier to do for him compared to humans. He could always put his life on the life because he knew he wouldn't die and just be sent to Gehenna but a human didn't have such a chance.
The only lived ones with a few lucky ones going through reincarnated.
In essence humans continuously cling to their single life something he hardly does.
So he couldn't hate a human for wanting to save themselves and just settled with dislike.
"Do you have a friends or family of sort?"
Ciel shook her head.
"....the few friends I had left me... while my parents are death!"
Judging by her tone Envy presume continueing the matter would only hurt her but it was somewhat of shame, after all humans conviction grew when wanting to protect a loved one but looking at it from a different angle he sensed a bit of detouchment from the girl.
The kind that seem to prevent any sort of bond from forming between her and anyone else.
"The world is large....." He remark and thread passed her,"....find a friend or two and maybe you might understand the conviction I'm talking about!"
His advice was based on personal experience. He too had one's been detouched from the world but after he built many relationships within said world he unconscious grew attached to it hence his conviction was born.
Who knows it might not work but at the very least he felt she needed the advise.
With a seldom expression he glance back at her ones more and left the rooftop.
--------------
Descending the stairs leading out the rooftop, Envy briskly watched through the lite corridor and ones at its end, took the elevator.
Entering the metallic confines of the elevator, he swiftly pressed a series of buttons namely, four, three, two, one.
Afters the sequence had been inputed, there was a click sound as the number panel displaying the various floors sunk into the control panel of the elevator and slowly shifted to reveal four red buttons in sequencial order.
Pressing the last but one button labeled three, the elevator door brushed closed as a series of red lights shined within the gaps of the elevator.
Watching nonchalantly as the interior of the elevator dimmed red, he braced him as the elevator was violently tugged down, the sheer speed of the descent momentarily lifted his feets of the ground leaving him in a state without gravity for a few seconds.
"3....."
Sensing the descent was about to end he began to count.
"Two....."
His gaze sharped as his crisomon eyes gleamed with absolutely focus.
"One...."
Tensing his muscles, he heard a loud crash as the elevator sudden stopped causing his state of zero gravity to die down.
Having braced himself he gracefully landed on his feets only feeling a slight pain with his legs caused by the sudden shift in gravity.
"A death trap as always!" He remarked as the elevator door opened displaying a corridor tiled with obsidian coloured tiles and lite by an ominous red light that lined up at the far corners of the ceiling of the corridor.
Walking out the elevator, he sudden felt a sense of fatigue but he easily shrugged it off due to experience and calmly strolled the corridor.
"Traitor!"
He heard a loud shriek of displeasure from his right prompting him to take a look at a sickly grey skin figure looked within a room to his right.
The room had no door but a thin transparent glass inscribed with runes that glowed a golden hue.
The figure looked within the room wore a light orange attire and tightly hugged his knee in the far left left corners of the room.
Slight peeking his head up, the figure gritted their teeth in frustration causing the thick metallic collar on their necks to glow an ominous red.
"Looking good Mephisto!"
"Stop with you useless taunts traitor!"
The being roared and pounched towards him on the other side of the containment but he disgraceful bumped into the thin glass causing the golden runes of the glass glow and fling him back into the walls of his prison.
Resisting the urge to burst into laughter at the devil's antics he walked passed his prison and many other.
Family faces, unforgettable foes, despicable foes and so many other flash passed him the deeper he went into the prison but he ignored them all and before long found himself standing at the edge of the pathway.
At the edge was no end but an abyss lite by the various golden hue spread apart through the abyss.
There where seven light, three to his left, another three to his right and the last one far to his front.
Each of the light represents the ceil hold of the most vicious devils captured in Ageis.
Three had been captured by him, two Pamela and the remaining two by team Inferno, the strongest Deomon hunters in the Ageis branch of the trigger association.
The sheer treat level of those devil was much that's the association had choose not to banish them to Gehenna because they just couldn't leave the unsupervised.
"Requesting for a visit to S-prisoner code 7"
As his voice echoced in the never ending abyss, a large robotic eyes ball the size of a volley ball materialized infront of him.
[Access pending.... requesting adminster privilege]
"Admiral privilege.. code 3...agent three."
[Searching through Eden records...]
The robotic eyes blinked.
[Pending... pending.... pending... records found.]
[Welcome back, Sir Envy. You presence is always welcomed]
"Thanks Lilith!"
Patting the eye, he smiled.
Project Lilith as it was commonly called was a system created by the Angels to handle operation within the four prison located in the assocation.
A management kind AI with little combat abilities it was pretty sufficient.
[3650 day since you began this patting session of you're, I'm quite curious Sir envy what this you action mean]
"A gesture of appreciation!" He shurrged.
[Appreciation.....]
The mechanical eyes blink for a while seemly in though before gazing upon at him.
[Can I also pat you head then?]
"Sure but you need hands first!" He scoffed at the eye's surprisely delusional request and walked closer to the edge.
"Lilith requesting to visit S- prisoner no7"
The eyes hovered up and down as a notion of a nodd before dematerializing into nothingness.
Ones it had disappeared the the light facing him glowed in intensity as a thin black platform materialized filling the gaps between him and the light.
[Note prisoner is highly dangerous...]
"I know!"
He cutted Lilith off and thread carefully on the platform towards the light.
As he neared the end of the platforms, the light began to take the shape of a rectangler structure made of thin transparent glass.
Like the other's they where runic inscribes writes all over it but compared to the others the golden hue it gave of was almost divine.
The sheer divinity Envy felt as he got closer caused the hair on his skin to stand on end but he ignored it and strolled gowards finally peering at the individual inside.
Unlike the other, the woman-no devil imprisoned in was binded by two thick golden chains that locked around her wrist.
The chains formed from within the transparent glass also had ancient runes written on it but he payed it no hind and blankly stared at the violet haired woman who had her back resting at the fair end of the glass.
She was dressed in a white prisoner attire distinguishing her from the regular prisoner.
Her long violet hair unkept for many days flow pass her face hiding her face.
She hanged her head low but Envy could see the occasional blink of red light around her nape. The collar was built to mointer the emotion state of a devil hence the frequent blinked seem to say she wasn't in the best of state.
As he observed her closer he noticed she no longer had horns making her look like a helpless miserable woman but he felt no pity for her after all she had killed thousand...maybe more.
No matter how pitiful she looked now her crimes wouldn't be erased.
"How's prision treating you?"
Sitting on the platform that held the structure in place he question.
Viole having stayed motionless for while suddenly raised her head.
As she did so, she slightly tugged her restraint hand forward and brushed parts of her hair to the side displaying her left hollow eye which flashed with a hostile glint.
