That satisfying smell of fear...

This irresistible desire to shred everything apart...
The more Juggernaut pummeled the Shield, the more excited he was becoming. He could smell it, the fear coming from within this building. It was intoxicating, just imagining his claws tearing through their fragile bodies made him feel so over joyed. 'So what if the main mission was to capture a bunch of humans, I still want to have my fun, I want more of this intoxicating scent of fear, to bath in their mortal blood, to see the light leave their eyes, to hear them beg and scream to be spared... I want it all, all of it!.
I could have so easily teared through this pathetic piece of metal, but why do that. Why not make them feel safe first, to feel protected, as if everything is going to be alright in the end. They would let their guard down and start getting comfortable, so sure that a piece of metal could protect them from me.
'BOOOM!'
Fools!... I am Juggernaut, a middle class demon, you think a piece of metal can protect you from me. It's about time I remove this obstacle that's preventing me from reaching my prey.
Juggernaut pulled all four of his arms back and then shot them forward, his sharp claws easily tearing through the centre of the steel alloy shield. He then gripped the sides and started stretching the shield, widening the gap slowly. He could see the humans slowly come into view. Their frightened expressions greatly pleased him. Yes, that's it, let the fear consume you, let it drive you to insanity.
As the gap slowly widened, the smell of fear got stronger, filling Juggernaut with great ecstasy.
The imps were not having a good day. First they lose their target, then they had to bear with continuous seismic activity. Now they just stood there, watching Juggernaut slowly stretching the Shield open.
"I get the feeling that he's going to kill them all again". Said one of the Imps
"Who's idea was it to bring that 'thing'?".
"Shush!... It was Lord Kraven's idea".
"You don't have to whisper, we're literally in another realm. There's no way that tyrant could hear us".
'Boom!'
The imp that spoke suddenly exploded into a bloody mist, sending bits of organs and blood, all over the place. The imps that were closest to him were bathed in his blood.
Seeing the imp explode, did not come as a surprise to the other imps. It was common knowledge that you should not speak ill of Lord Kraven, for he is always listening. As unsurprised as they were, the imps were still frightened by Kraven's display of power. To execute a demon while being a whole dimension away, only Kraven could do that.
The display of power also fueled the Imps's desire to become strong. They too desired to have unmatched power, to be so strong they could bend many to their will. To no longer be treated like trash and finally have the respect they deserve. It was through the successful completion of this mission, that they will earn Lord Kraven's favor and finally be allowed in the areas with miasma.
The imps were lost in deep thought, fantasising of the day they would wield tremendous power, so much so that they failed to notice the sudden silence.
Juggernaut stopped stretching the steel alloy shield and froze. He could sense it, his instincts were screaming at him to move and get out of the way, so he did. Without wasting another second he jumped back, moving away from the restaurants entrance.
The moment Juggernaut landed, he felt a stinging pain in one of his arms, causing his expression to contort into a pained grimace. He looked at the source of the pain and was immediately Infuriated. One... Two... Three... Only three arms, where there should have been a fourth arm, was a stump that profusely leaked black blood. someone cut one of his arms off without him feeling it, but who did this?.
His gaze shifted towards the entrance of the restaurant. On the ground he saw his arm that was dripping fresh blood but, as his gaze moved a little higher, that's when he noticed them. Two women, both of them wearing black themed armoured bodysuits that consisted of a breastplate, a pouldron for the shoulders, a poleyn for the knees and combat boots. The armour appeared to not only provide defence for vital areas, it also allowed for free mobility, with no restricted movement. One of the women, one with long wine red hair wielded a katana that had a dark red hilt, while the other woman, who had shorter red hair, had a wakizashi that also had a red hilt but with a lighter shade, just like her hair.
When Juggernaut saw the emblem of a blade piercing through the head of an unknown creature, he took an involuntary step back, his piercing red eyes turning wary.
"It seems 'it' recognises who we are". spoke the woman with short hair. Her wakizashi was casually resting on her shoulder, while still in it's scabbard. She seemed... Bored.
The woman with longer hair had a displeased expression as she took in the scene on the street. 'Dead bodies everywhere, We're too late'. Her face then shifted to the red giant Infront of them that was covered in blood. "You did this". It wasn't a question, it was more of a statement.
"Ailani". Thea called out.
"Yes captain".
Thea grabbed the hilt of her katana that was on her waist. "Exterminate the weaklings and then find the gate and close it". She had a serious expression as she said this. "I'll deal with the ugly brute".
"Roger that". Ailani gave Juggernaut a casual glance before walking off, her target, the imps.
The Imps almost immediately knew which organisation the two women belonged to the moment they saw the emblem. Fear was all but written in their faces as they watched Ailani slowly walking towards them. Her gaze was no longer that of boredom but that of a woman that was looking forward to doing something she greatly enjoyed, slaying demons.
Thea slowly pulled her katana out of it's scabbard and then raised it to eye level. Her ruby eyes completely locked on her enemy. She then lowered the katana, holding it with both hands, dragged her right leg back and then lowered her stance, the tip of her katana pointing at Juggernaut.
Juggernaut stood and watched. Calmly preparing for any attack. He might have been taken off guard before, but not this time. This time he was prepared for this vile woman that dared to cut one of his arms. Who cares if she's Yeager Corps, I am not like those weaklings they've fought before.
Thea closed her eyes and focused her senses on the blade of her katana. She then took a deep breath and released... When she opened her eyes, she only said one word.
[Flash]
Suddenly the temperature rose, followed by the blade of her katana heating up before shining in a bright flash of light that forced Juggernaut to cover his eyes with one of his arms. Then all of a sudden, the hairs at the back of Juggernaut's neck rose, followed by his instincts screaming at him to move.
He fought back the desire to dodge. Instead, with his eyes still covered, he swung one of his claws forward where he instinctively new he should.
'Clang!'
The sound of metal hitting against metal resounded. With one of his claws still holding back the attack, he uncovered his eyes but when he did he saw nothing, there was no one Infront of him.
'Slash'
"ROARRR!". Juggernaut roared in pain when he felt his back being mercilessly cut. In an enraged state, he twisted his waist and then slashed behind him with his claws only to hit nothing.
'Slash'.
Juggernaut was again struck by a stinging feeling of pain coming from his thigh, which further fueled his rage. Tired of playing hide and seek. He raised his arms and then brought them down like a sledgehammer.
'BOOM!'
He struck the ground causing a large crater to form, followed by a huge cloud of dust rising and obscuring the area. He used this opportunity to sense his enemy. When he finally knew which direction she would attack from, he pulled his fist back and fired it forward.
Thea who was again about to bring another attack was taken off guard by the incoming fist, but she didn't lose her calm. With practiced movements she raised her katana and blocked with it's blade.
When Juggernaut's fist connected with her katana's blade, Thea felt her bones rattle as she was immediately thrown back, 'Such tremendous strength, I can't fight this thing in the city' she thought. With perfect grace she twisted her body and landed on her feet, before sheathing her Katana, stopping her assault.
"Eva". She called out.
Her call was followed by a female robotic voice responding from her watch like device: [Yes Captain]
"Find me a place where I could fight this thing without holding back". While speaking she made sure to keep her eyes on Juggernaut, who also stopped attacking for some reason.
[Understood]
[Accessing Yeager Corps satellite...]
[Beginning search for appropriate location...]
[Search complete...]
Thea looked at the holographic image of a forest that appeared on her wrist device. 'Perfect, it's not far from here'. She then shifted her gaze towards Juggernaut who was looking at her hatefully. 'I'm sure he'll follow'.
She turned her back and then with a burst of flames beneath her feet, she launched forward, covering a large distance in seconds. She turned her head and noticed that the red giant was following her...
... As for why. There was no way Juggernaut was going to let this woman get away after humiliating him to such a degree.
